I'm not into fragrance in my personal life because it's a little overwhelming to start, but I always love scent sunday!! I would LOVE it if you did a video on a fragrance "starter kit." Part of why I'm hesitant to get into perfume is because I just don't even know what notes I like, so it would be ideal to be able to buy 8ish perfumes (maybe samples?) that are a high-quality example of a general note family, like a citrus, gourmand, musk, etc... I think it would be a way for those of us who have become interested in fragrance through you to dip our toes in and learn what we like!💕
That’s a great video idea, but I would recommend either going to a Sephora, Ulta, Department store, etc and smelling/sampling various scents, taking a good quiz to figure out what you would probably like and/or buying some sample sets that have a good mix of various scent families or popular fragrances
@@Goldie9899 I really appreciate the suggestion, but I don't live close enough to stores that carry a variety of perfume for me to sample in a store, and I think there's something nice about owning a sample so you can smell it in a less sensory-overloading environment and as it interacts with your own body chemistry. I think it would be great even if lauren just did a video on sample sets that have a wide variety! Most that I've seen seem to be largely one family (especially floral) or from same house. If you have any recommendations I'd appreciate it!
@@cristinab5615 I honestly don’t either and have bought samples through many of the places Lauren has mentioned. I’m in a small more elderly town on the west coast of FL and have an Ulta 15 minutes away and stores like Walmart, Target, Kohls. If you have an Ulta by you, that’s a great place to go and i definitely recommend many of the sites that Lauren has mentioned
The relative lack of banana-scented perfumes around feels like a personal affront to me! I love banana SO MUCH and it’s so hard to find. Thank you for all of your recommendations in this video!!
If you're interested in a strawberry note check out the Kate Spade perfume! It's a sweet but tart, bright wild strawberry scent with bergamot and ambroxan in the base! I've been enjoying it in the warmer weather.
An interesting watermelon fragrance is Menage a Trois by Zarkoperfume which I picked up recently on Fragrancenet (and looks like it's still there). It's not a super sweet watermelon and it strikes me very gender neutral - my husband and I share it 🍉🍉🍉 I usually layer it with Bath & Body Works Watermelon Lemonade because I like it a little sweeter. ☺Great video - very fun idea to do the fruit bowl, love it!!!💓💓💓And thank you again for the mention, Lauren!!!
Love this video! Fruity scents are my favorite! I personally enjoy DKNY’s Be Delicious for a green apple scent but I’m taking lots of notes because I want to try all of these lol 😂

A good pineapple scent is Hacivat by Nishane. It's like Aventus but better. I am wearing Replica Under the Lemon Tree today, which to me is a very sugary lemon and doesn't go too lemon Pledge to me. Xerjoff Uden is a great lemom scent too but it's more gourmand and not very "summer vibes". I have a 5ml of Kayali apple. It's a great scent but it is pretty simple. I dont think you are a cherry fan but I would add cherries to my "fruit basket" and add Tom Ford Lost Cherry. But that's bc its my fave perfume lol. Happy Scent Sunday
My favorite watermelon so far is D&G L’Imperetrice. It’s more watermelon rind with some rhubarb, so not fake jolly ranger type sweetness. It has a crispness and tartness. The only downside is the longevity.
As someone who likes citrus scents, I adored this concept! Would love to see more like it. I also loved your description of the mango, and it got me thinking that a perfume vid with scents based around a 'fantasy' scene (like your summer nights mango one) would also be fun. My fav fruity scent currently is Versace Dylan Turquoise. It’s so good to me & not overpowering like some of their other scents & the Guava note comes through for me. It’s perfect for summer imo.

Sugared lemon, very affordable and would definitely recommend this one. Peach - Lolitaland by Lolita Lempicka and Francis Kurkdjian. Fluffy cake and a bit similar to Kilian Woman in gold, but way more over the top. Passion fruit - Aqua Allegoria Passiflora by Guerlain. Refreshing and sunny. Raspberry - Rose Extase by Nina Ricci and Francis Kurkdjian. Romantic raspberry. Enjoy!

I think my favorite fruity scent right now is Byredo's Pulp - wow! And I totally agree with you on Sundazed - I keep coming back and smelling over and over again - it seems like every layer has a different, interesting scent profile! 💕💕💕
i love scent sundays! there are so many in this video i want to try! right now i am obsessed with floral street sunflower pop, the collab with the van gogh museum. it is such a great citrus perfume, just straight up juicy grapefruit, it is so good!! i have been curious about your thoughts on that coconut fizz perfume so i was glad that you talked about it in this video! those aqua allegoria bottles are so beautiful i want one purely for the reason lol.
no peach 🍑 scent?! that’s my fave fruit, i must smell all the peach perfumes! *If any other commenters want to recommend some, please do!* Lancôme Tresor is a classic - a bit loud but lots of fruit notes like peach and pineapple but leans floral. MCMC Phoenix is another peachy fave, pink jasmine by Fresh has some fruitiness but is mostly jasmine. Tom Ford’s bitter peach i like in cooler months but it can work year round.… i’m drawing a blank on others right now. jo malone has a nice peachy, nectarine one. i have been leaning more to my fruity ones late so i enjoyed this video.

For Apple I have to go with Henry Rose “Smyth” it’s a bright crisp green apple scent. I have the bottle and adore it. Moschino I love I love is a grapefruit perfume and the other notes highlight that citrus specifically. Oh and Molecule + Mandarin is straight wearing a mandarin. I love it when I need a cheerful spray.
If you can track down Erbario Toscano Primavera Toscana it is THE BEST lemon scent. Not like home cleaner or tangy, but like candied lemons. There’s a basil note in there too that makes it smell like walking through a lemon grove. So good.

I took a few fragrance classes and found it so fascinating, but at the time…I wanted to work in the cosmetic industry doing product development. Now, I would love to work at one of the big fragrance houses I got to visit or just do any type of product development/r&d as long as it involved parfum…and not household products, etc. Candles would be something fun also
I just bought Demeter fragrances banana flambé, which is the perfect summer sunset on the beach, fancy real housewives style dinner, caramel and actual banana scent. It will definitely transition into fall and winter well too for daytime cozy sweater smell. Not the fruit basket vibe but i thought I’d share since I’ve been on the hunt for banana scents!
Pinerose sun saint is a great limey scent with some sea salt. There is also coconut in it. I talked about it compared to pink canyon in your last video. The notes are so similar with pacific lime but it’s added with sea salt. So it’s like a baby between pink canyon and pacific lime. I highly recommended it. The skincare brand fresh has a sugary lemon called brown sugar and it’s a nice sugary lemon. I’ve heard dua has a dupe for Byredo sundazed called dazed.
I LOVE fruity fragrances, especially fruity florals! If anyone's interested in a watermelon note for summer, it's not the longest wearing, but Tocca Simone has a beautiful, refreshing watermelon note.
Nice! I love a watermelon scent for summer. I love Florence by Tocca, I'll have to check out Simone. I love D&G L'Imperatrice 3 for a zingy fresh crispy watermelon, not too sweet, but just sweet enough.
I love fruity and aquatic scents , I cannot do musk it makes me feel claustrophobic kinda , like surrounded by the smell . Woody aggravates my asthma. This helped me know what I might not like or at not want to blind buy
I totally get what you mean. Not sure why this would be the case but I have found that typical luxury brand perfumes are especially overwhelming for me. 🤷♀️ i found the brand Skylar to be a good fit for me. Their scents don’t feel overwhelming but are really unique and lovely.
I used the a Fresh perfume strawberry scent Don’t remember the actual name of it and I don’t even know if fresh still makes perfumes but oh my God I loved that scent a decade ago and that scent inspired me to get Miss Charming by Juliet has a gun and that is a very beautiful strawberry scent
I love samples. Maybe you could do a video on scents you didn't like at first but now you do (unless you've done that before). Apparently Kajal Lamar is a good pineapple. Haven't tried it yet. I returned my bottle of Coconut Fizz. It's nice but not sweet enough for me. I get why people like it tho. this video was cute!

Oooh I guess for fuite scents I prefer really tart or sour fruits, usually dark berries and and crisp fruits? Like, I love Figue du Foret, I love Indigo by Nest or Maybe Baby by Benefit (discontinued) which has pear in it, Pretty Rotten with rotten green apple. But I have yet to find a scent I like that smells like black currant, which is a shame because it's one of my favorite berries. The actual berry itself smells SO good. Another Oud from Juliette Has a Gun which has some raspberry. Someone recommended Maya by Terra (I think that's the brand?) But I didn't like it. I don't like very tropical fruits like orange, lime, coconut, overly or overly candy like fruity scents. Lol they remind me too much of family vacations which were not fun with my family!
Petite Cherie Eau de Toilette by Annick Goutal Very FRUITY! I enjoy having this scent in my collection. I don't wear it often... It's unusual in a similar way to the way I find pulp by byredo to be a bit of a weirdo I won't spoil it for you... I'm confident you'll identify the key fruit in this juice immediately (blind buy a sample)
Super late to this video but the best sweeter lemon perfume is literally called Sugar Lemon by Fresh. Excellent light citrus with just a hint of spun sugar. Perfect for Spring and Summer :)

First of all, LOVE your scent sundays. I'm not super big on fruity fragrances for myself, although my husband really loves them on me. From a fragrance enthusiast's point of view, however, I find them fascinating. When you read on the chemistry of perfumery, you quickly learn that there are literally no natural fruity fragrance notes. There is no way to, say, juice an apple and somehow extract the scent molecule from it. They are all synthetic. And it's so fascinating to me! I'm baffled by the fact it's possible to create molecules in a lab that will conjure up impressions in our brain of delicious juicy fruits. It's the moments I regret never having been great in chemistry class. If I had had any talent for it, I would have loved to become a chemist in the perfumery industry. Anyway, this is why when a fruity fragrance is done well, it does impress me all the more. My favourite fruit based fragrances are these: - Light Blue Eau Intense by D&G: Lemon and Green Apple, with a focus on the Lemon - La Belle by JPG: can't wear it every day. Absolute headache potential in potency. But one of my favourite pear notes that came out of the recent years' pear trend. - Un Jardin Sur Le Toit by Hermès: Green grass, green unripe apples, green, green, green. My favourite for summer in India. - Un Jardin Sur Le Nil by Hermès: Green (unripe) Mango, zesty Grapefruit and a bunch of vegetal notes. Also a summer favourite for me. - Néa by Jul et Mad Paris: The closest to life and juiciest Pomegranade note in the opening with an insanely romantic gourmand drydown of dates, plum and caramel - and finally Like an Unforgettable Kiss by Essence (2014 version): just happy fruity ripe Mango. I loved it so much that I still have backup bottles in my wardrobe. They came for about 5 dollars a pop. It has long been discontinued. The last example btw. shows one aspect about fruity fragrances that I really appreciate, them all being synthetic anyway and not depending on expensive raw material but rather on the chemist's expertise - and a lot of perfumery chemists do formulations for high end as well as cheaper brands - you actually do find some cheapies that happen to do their job really really well.
Pear Inc is an amazing musky pear. I've been a bit obsessed with it since I got it. Fruity scents are my favorites and I have so many that are just beautiful.
For tropical fruit, coconut vacation type perfume- my favorite is Holidays by Mancera. It’s amazing for summer. For Orange- 4160 Tuesdays The orange tree. Smells just like oranges! For Pineapple- Mugler Angel Iced, tons of pineapple!
🍓🍓🍓🍓 You must try Strawberries and Cream by Mith. It's almond and strawberry and vanilla, a touch of ambrette. So creamy and lactonic but with a punch of strawberry that is not candied or sugary or too sweet. I think you'd love it! Like strawberry milk with real strawberries.
Maya Njie - Tropica. Pineapple, Fig, Coconut and Sandalwood. It’s such an interesting tropical and woody fragrance. For me the pineapple really stands out in the beginning before being wrapped in coconut/fig and then slowly grounded by woods. I’ve never smelt anything like it, so beautiful and interesting in its composition. A definite recommendation. Bastide - Neroli lumiere. Smells like you’re walking past an orange grove in the Tuscan countryside on a hot summers day. Its happiness in a bottle, seriously! ☺️
I’d love to see a video about perfumes that relate to certain colors, like a rainbow themed video! I think that would especially be cute for pride month! It could be based on the perfume name, the color of the bottle /juice, the vibe of the perfume, however you’d like to interpret it!

Any Escada Summer release is a fave of mine. They just scream summery, juicy, yummy fruit bowl. I can only wear them in the summer and some of the notes are very on the nose, but they're fun (and often affordable!) my fave is Agua del Sol. For a really interesting apple cirtus sexy scent, I highly recommend Frederic Malle Outrageous! Nothing quite like it, so sexy, smells like a warm, summers night with cocktails and passion... Please try a sample!! I would love to know your thoughts.

What a fun video idea! Would love a part 2 with some more fruit finds! One of my favourite fruit notes is lychee. Not common or easy to come by, but it's so glorious. Juicy, sweet, sticky, syrupy, slightly aquatic, slightly leaning rosey, hint of grape and strawberry. Would love to see peach or apricot make it onto your next list. I love the dense sweet juiciness of apricot and it's not super common.
Really enjoyed this video! I definitely recommend Zents, for its pear fragrance (among its other fragrances). It is so soft and somehow warm and crisp at the same time.

Such a fun video! Would love to see a current wishlist!! I like some fruit frags in spring/summer, but I usually don’t like the uber intensely sweet and fruity scents, so the ones I own are usually all more strong on the other notes with fruit as a supporting role 😂 still interested in trying a couple of the ones you mentioned though-Vilhelm Mango Skin has been on my list to try for some time! My favorite “fruity” fragrances are Atelier Cologne Cedrat Enivrant, Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay, Juliet has a Gun Pear Inc, and Imaginary Authors Cape Heartache, Saint Julep, and Falling Into the Sea. These along with Atelier Cologne Musc Imperiale, Juliet has a Gun Moscow Mule, and Diptyque Philosykos have been my fresh and fruit-adjacent spring/summer favorites so far this year!

This is orange, but with some white flowers (which I like). Got it as sample from Twisted Lily (thanks, Lauren!). I will be buying the full size soon.
I just saw that Mancera is coming out with Fig Extasy! I just recently picked up their Aoud Lemon Mint and love it. Hopefully you can get your nose on their fig scent and love it. (Also: I love to put my vote in for you to showcase your full perfume collection. 😬)
It's funny my friend wears Daisy and I love the way it smells on her but I hate it on me. Another Tresor by Lancome smelled so good on my friend but hated it on me. YES BANANAS!!!
I got the Kayali Eden Apple sample with my last Sephora order and I thought it smelled exactly like a bath and body works body spray 🤣🤣🤣 not my fav. The Ellis Brooklyn Sun Fruit is my favorite fruity summer scent, smells like a sweet tart kind of? So good!

I wore Daisy Dream from Marc Jacobs on my wedding! But I think today I would probably do Baccarat Rouge 540 because I love and so does Sam! Fragrance Du Bois Minuit et Demi and Mancera Instant Crush are close behind though!

Nest Seville Orange is the ultimate orange scent to me. It’s so photorealistic and versatile!

Lancôme Tresor is a classic - a bit loud but lots of fruit notes like peach and pineapple but leans floral. MCMC Phoenix is another peachy fave, pink jasmine by Fresh has some fruitiness but is mostly jasmine. Tom Ford’s bitter peach i like in cooler months but it can work year round.…

For Apple I have to go with Henry Rose “Smyth” it’s a bright crisp green apple scent. I have the bottle and adore it.
Moschino I love I love is a grapefruit perfume and the other notes highlight that citrus specifically.
Oh and Molecule + Mandarin is straight wearing a mandarin. I love it when I need a cheerful spray.
If you can track down Erbario Toscano Primavera Toscana it is THE BEST lemon scent. Not like home cleaner or tangy, but like candied lemons. There’s a basil note in there too that makes it smell like walking through a lemon grove. So good.

I went to college at FIT in NYC and graduated from the Cosmetic and Fragrance Marketing Program they have. I took a few fragrance classes and found it so fascinating, but at the time…I wanted to work in the cosmetic industry doing product development. Now, I would love to work at one of the big fragrance houses I got to visit or just do any type of product development/r&d as long as it involved parfum…and not household products, etc. Candles would be something fun also

I just bought Demeter fragrances banana flambé, which is the perfect summer sunset on the beach, fancy real housewives style dinner, caramel and actual banana scent. It will definitely transition into fall and winter well too for daytime cozy sweater smell. Not the fruit basket vibe but i thought I’d share since I’ve been on the hunt for banana scents!
Kim Kardashian had a limited edition pear fragrance years ago that's actually so good! If she ever re-releases it I highly recommend.
Pinerose sun saint is a great limey scent with some sea salt. There is also coconut in it. I talked about it compared to pink canyon in your last video. The notes are so similar with pacific lime but it’s added with sea salt. So it’s like a baby between pink canyon and pacific lime. I highly recommended it. The skincare brand fresh has a sugary lemon called brown sugar and it’s a nice sugary lemon. I’ve heard dua has a dupe for Byredo sundazed called dazed.

If anyone's interested in a watermelon note for summer, it's not the longest wearing, but Tocca Simone has a beautiful, refreshing watermelon note.
Also, L'Imperatrice by D&G. It's more of a sour watermelon, like maybe watermelon kombucha?

I love D&G L'Imperatrice 3 for a zingy fresh crispy watermelon, not too sweet, but just sweet enough.
I love fruity and aquatic scents , I cannot do musk it makes me feel claustrophobic kinda , like surrounded by the smell . Woody aggravates my asthma. This helped me know what I might not like or at not want to blind buy
I totally get what you mean. Not sure why this would be the case but I have found that typical luxury brand perfumes are especially overwhelming for me. 🤷♀️ i found the brand Skylar to be a good fit for me. Their scents don’t feel overwhelming but are really unique and lovely.
My faves are Chanel Chance Eau Tendre (Grapefruit), Armani My Way (Orange blossom), Daisy Eau So Fresh (raspberry), and Burberry Her toilette (pear)
I used the a Fresh perfume strawberry scent Don’t remember the actual name of it and I don’t even know if fresh still makes perfumes but oh my God I loved that scent a decade ago and that scent inspired me to get Miss Charming by Juliet has a gun and that is a very beautiful strawberry scent

Oooh I guess for fuite scents I prefer really tart or sour fruits, usually dark berries and and crisp fruits? Like, I love Figue du Foret, I love Indigo by Nest or Maybe Baby by Benefit (discontinued) which has pear in it, Pretty Rotten with rotten green apple. But I have yet to find a scent I like that smells like black currant, which is a shame because it's one of my favorite berries. The actual berry itself smells SO good. Another Oud from Juliette Has a Gun which has some raspberry. Someone recommended Maya by Terra (I think that's the brand?) But I didn't like it. I don't like very tropical fruits like orange, lime, coconut, overly or overly candy like fruity scents. Lol they remind me too much of family vacations which were not fun with my family!
Juicy Couture Neon is very citrusy..I smell a lot of orange and grapefruit!

Very FRUITY! I enjoy having this scent in my collection. I don't wear it often... It's unusual in a similar way to the way I find pulp by byredo to be a bit of a weirdo

Super late to this video but the best sweeter lemon perfume is literally called Sugar Lemon by Fresh. Excellent light citrus with just a hint of spun sugar. Perfect for Spring and Summer :)

First of all, LOVE your scent sundays.
I'm not super big on fruity fragrances for myself, although my husband really loves them on me.
From a fragrance enthusiast's point of view, however, I find them fascinating. When you read on the chemistry of perfumery, you quickly learn that there are literally no natural fruity fragrance notes. There is no way to, say, juice an apple and somehow extract the scent molecule from it. They are all synthetic. And it's so fascinating to me! I'm baffled by the fact it's possible to create molecules in a lab that will conjure up impressions in our brain of delicious juicy fruits. It's the moments I regret never having been great in chemistry class. If I had had any talent for it, I would have loved to become a chemist in the perfumery industry.
Anyway, this is why when a fruity fragrance is done well, it does impress me all the more. My favourite fruit based fragrances are these:
- Light Blue Eau Intense by D&G: Lemon and Green Apple, with a focus on the Lemon
- La Belle by JPG: can't wear it every day. Absolute headache potential in potency. But one of my favourite pear notes that came out of the recent years' pear trend.
- Un Jardin Sur Le Toit by Hermès: Green grass, green unripe apples, green, green, green. My favourite for summer in India.
- Un Jardin Sur Le Nil by Hermès: Green (unripe) Mango, zesty Grapefruit and a bunch of vegetal notes. Also a summer favourite for me.
- Néa by Jul et Mad Paris: The closest to life and juiciest Pomegranade note in the opening with an insanely romantic gourmand drydown of dates, plum and caramel
- and finally Like an Unforgettable Kiss by Essence (2014 version): just happy fruity ripe Mango. I loved it so much that I still have backup bottles in my wardrobe. They came for about 5 dollars a pop. It has long been discontinued.
The last example btw. shows one aspect about fruity fragrances that I really appreciate, them all being synthetic anyway and not depending on expensive raw material but rather on the chemist's expertise - and a lot of perfumery chemists do formulations for high end as well as cheaper brands - you actually do find some cheapies that happen to do their job really really well.

Pear Inc is an amazing musky pear. I've been a bit obsessed with it since I got it. Fruity scents are my favorites and I have so many that are just beautiful.
For tropical fruit, coconut vacation type perfume- my favorite is Holidays by Mancera. It’s amazing for summer.
For Orange- 4160 Tuesdays The orange tree. Smells just like oranges!
For Pineapple- Mugler Angel Iced, tons of pineapple!

You must try Strawberries and Cream by Mith.
It's almond and strawberry and vanilla, a touch of ambrette. So creamy and lactonic but with a punch of strawberry that is not candied or sugary or too sweet. I think you'd love it!
Like strawberry milk with real strawberries.

Maya Njie - Tropica. Pineapple, Fig, Coconut and Sandalwood. It’s such an interesting tropical and woody fragrance. For me the pineapple really stands out in the beginning before being wrapped in coconut/fig and then slowly grounded by woods. I’ve never smelt anything like it, so beautiful and interesting in its composition. A definite recommendation.
Bastide - Neroli lumiere. Smells like you’re walking past an orange grove in the Tuscan countryside on a hot summers day. Its happiness in a bottle, seriously! ☺️
For Mango, I like the Body Shop Mango edt. It's not super complex, but it's fruity and an affordable way to test if you enjoy the scent profile.

Any Escada Summer release is a fave of mine. They just scream summery, juicy, yummy fruit bowl. I can only wear them in the summer and some of the notes are very on the nose, but they're fun (and often affordable!) my fave is Agua del Sol.
For a really interesting apple cirtus sexy scent, I highly recommend Frederic Malle Outrageous! Nothing quite like it, so sexy, smells like a warm, summers night with cocktails and passion... Please try a sample!! I would love to know your thoughts.

One of my favourite fruit notes is lychee. Not common or easy to come by, but it's so glorious. Juicy, sweet, sticky, syrupy, slightly aquatic, slightly leaning rosey, hint of grape and strawberry.
Would love to see peach or apricot make it onto your next list. I love the dense sweet juiciness of apricot and it's not super common.
Really enjoyed this video! I definitely recommend Zents, for its pear fragrance (among its other fragrances). It is so soft and somehow warm and crisp at the same time.
I like DKNY Be Delicious for the sour granny apple scent. So good!

I like some fruit frags in spring/summer, but I usually don’t like the uber intensely sweet and fruity scents, so the ones I own are usually all more strong on the other notes with fruit as a supporting role 😂 still interested in trying a couple of the ones you mentioned though-Vilhelm Mango Skin has been on my list to try for some time! My favorite “fruity” fragrances are Atelier Cologne Cedrat Enivrant, Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay, Juliet has a Gun Pear Inc, and Imaginary Authors Cape Heartache, Saint Julep, and Falling Into the Sea. These along with Atelier Cologne Musc Imperiale, Juliet has a Gun Moscow Mule, and Diptyque Philosykos have been my fresh and fruit-adjacent spring/summer favorites so far this year!

This is orange, but with some white flowers (which I like). Got it as sample from Twisted Lily (thanks, Lauren!). I will be buying the full size soon.

I got the Kayali Eden Apple sample with my last Sephora order and I thought it smelled exactly like a bath and body works body spray 🤣🤣🤣 not my fav. The Ellis Brooklyn Sun Fruit is my favorite fruity summer scent, smells like a sweet tart kind of? So good!
