- Eyad and Joanna both left Syria to start a new life in Brazil.
They faced many challenges before setting up their businesses. Eyad is now a celebrity chef while Joanna works with other refugees to set up marketplaces and food events.
If their business plans work, the two young Syrians hope to become millionaires in a few years.

Hello from Brazil! 🇧🇷 I’m very proud that our country generally is very inclusive with refugees from all over the world, unless those who commits crimes, but still very rare, because most of them came to work hard and move up in the world, giving that they probably already knew when they came here that this country has a lot of opportunities, but there’s no comfortable place for the average mediocre guy, different from US, were the min wage employee has almost fourfold as much as the one here.
If you don't want people who commit crimes, then you would be wise to ban islam entirely.

Arabs have been immigrating to brazil since a long time, i am an arab descendent myself and i can say the way brazilians see the arabs is very different from europe or usa where tehy are undesired and seen as terrorists. Here they are seen as a working and sucessfull people who own bussiness and helped to industrialize the country in the past much like the japanese and italians, brazilians respect them a lot.
Mostly because the majority of arabs that came to Brazil were christians.
Even though Brazil is very inclusive to imigrants.

As a brazilian, yeah it's good to help people and see this happening in my country... as long as they don't bring their religious ideas or war, I think it's gonna be ok. We have enough problems to solve already regarding violence on the streets and far far too many different religions taking money from poor and ignorant people everywhere in Brazil.

Im really afraid of expressing my opinions and being victim of physical or verbal abuse just because they are different than the local ones even though the beautifully rich brazilian culture is impregnate by cultures from all around the world.
