- Auto rifles are some of the most popular weapons in PvE but there are currently 38 different auto rifles to use and not all of them are good. So I decided to make a tier list to rank every auto rifle currently in the game. Keep in mind these are my opinions because your opinions are WRONG.

Putting Tommy’s in bottom tier is a crime, especially because it’s catalyst makes it scorch on hit, so it’s basically free ignitions, and the self damage is basically negated when using restoration

The thing around 360 Autos is that if you get High Caliber Rounds, the knockback on each bullet stunlocks Minors and often on Majors too
I love 360 and I commented it's how you use it that shines you can't go running face first into enemies you play back and hold target

True, but it's incredibility underwhelming on 360s. Rarely ever see the perk work since you're shooting so slow.

Lodbrock is really good with target lock and 4th times the charm… some 360’s are good, most are junk. Age Old Bond with repulser brace and destabilizing rounds is going to be an awesome choice for PVE void builds, especially this season with the void mods…

Tommy and reckless oracle are actually pretty good, if you build into restoration, tommy won't keep you in red health, reckless oracle has demo and is one of the only void auto rifles in rifle in a good archetype that isn't sunset.

I am reckless Tommy fan and with recent buffs it turned into my go to ignitions weapon. It was fun, now its even pretty darn good! Also its quite unstabally fun in pvp with right void devour setup

Centrifuse is 100% OP in PVE with an arc subclass. Not to mention it's also not bad in PVP.
Especially with the catalyst and this seasons artifact mods.

Ridiculous with arc Titan and actium, mows through low end content like it’s no one’s business. However I don’t think it has the chops to hang with the big dogs in master+ content
I gotta go with this as well. Every time I try to swap it out to open up an exotic slot, maybe to put Briggins law in there with volt shot I have fun, but then I go back. This thing is a beast but you have to have the catalyst absolutely. Sprinting to reload is such an awesome effect. And with the catalyst you’re always charged. I do love it but obviously I’ve been missing out on a few weapons that I need to give a try

Tommy`s makes it so easy to cast almost three solar exlosions on a boss with heaqvy knife, fragment and Gunpowder Gambit its ridiculous
I would probably place Tommy's more in maybe that being said I can understand why it would be placed in garbage since it REQUIRES you to build around its shortcomings
@@Gildedbolt garbage means its unusable in any circumstances though. Tommy is usable, and if you are lazy just put devour and it will work like a charm for add clear up to majors
Krait with Amplified Mag + Overflow + Backup Mag is hilarious
You can get 144 bullets in a single mag, and it gets even dumber when Veist Stinger procs
And even if you don't proc Overflow you still having a 72 round mag

Tommy’s can cause a ton of ignitions so it is definitely at least good
I actually really like Tommy’s. Paired with Loreley Splendor, you hardly feel the burn effect. Or pair it with Path of Burning Steps for more damage.

I prefer Rewind Rounds over Reconstruction on primaries. Reconstruction is great on special and power weapons you aren't using all the time but for primaries(and traces) that you're constantly using reconstruction doesn't have time to work during the fights. Lmgs are different due to their huge mag sizes though. It does work ok on traces but I still prefer rewind on them.

@@sunbreakertitan9285why is you don't need to use a primary, and if you've made a mistake and run out of double special it's probably better to wipe than load up a primary even though it has infinite ammo(bows((exotic))the exception imo)
I think this tier list could use a rework as different auto rifles can be quite good or underperform based on the scenario and difficulty of content and class being used. For example, summoner can get golden tricorn (great for a solar class), herod C has the hakke origin trait and can pair with a stasis build with headstone, while scathelocke has the most range for a 600 if you want to keep your distance but still need an auto rifle.

Marshix that Tommy's rating was foul, just need heat rises for cure on solar weapon kills or sanguine alchemy for infinite healing and damage boost and Tommy's becomes a beast.
Centrifuse absolutely melts with arc especially with the catalyst. Sweet Business is also really good imo with certain builds.
I was gonna say he mentioned the best thing with it...its a really fun thing to use it certain pve content but I prolly won't use it in something like nightfalls, dungeons, or raids save for maybe a dps phase on the weaker bosses

Last Breath being the only auto in game to get Demo + Osmosis alone makes it S tier PLUS its a 600 rpm. Everyone who uses grenades should be hard farming it this week.
bro i have to agree with you so much. I got lucky with my demo osmosis last breath and it has been my go to weapon. Having a primary that synergises with every class is INSANE. I can use it with gyrafalcon and get volatile rounds, get it with unraveling rounds when rocking strand, make arc traces (or whatever they are called) and it synergizes with the arc artifacts from this season making it also extremely insane. It also keeps restoration up when running solar. This is deff an S tier auto rifle due to its great adaptability, and demo is the cherry on top, helping you generate your grenade quickly. Its deff my fav auto. This tier list is quite meh.
The big question is, have you deleted all the “No” and “Garbage” autos or are you keeping some in you vault for their inevitable buff?
Reckless oracle is not a 360 rpm. It's a 720 and actually a really nice one.
Hard disagree with the Reckless oracle amazing Auto jist need the right perks like most weapons, my outlaw swashbuckler been putting in the work - wished it was killclip and it would have been perfect but Garden Grinds continues until they are craftable
This should be called the 'The Maybe' list. ngl, my vault is pretty much that in a nutshell. So many weapons with potential but fall short. That being said, I have weapons that serve a singular purpose, either for a specific build or activity and they do that one thing really well. Who knows, with the ever shifting meta, that 'Maybe' list could turn into a GOATed list real fast.

If you really think Tommys is bad you must be trolling, havent you heard about restoration 2x + embers of empyrean + embers of char + dawn chorus ? It melts everything. Also can work with titans with actium war rig but is a little more risky and things die anyway before your mag is over

Come To Pass is good for one reason: You can craft it and it only takes 3 red borders. Stats for All + One for All is always solid.

I've got an old sterling with rewind rounds and adagio. It pairs quite well with actium war rig because you get the damage buff without having to reload and adagio slows the rate of fire a bit so that rewind rounds and actium war rig can work together and keep you firing for a very very long time. I find this pairs incredible well with specifically strand titan too, so you can get some unraveling rounds action as well.

The fact that it’s an exotic is most likely why, because Rufus does similar stuff but without the extra rockets and exotic slot. That’s the reason for me at least why it’s not #1.

@@atheon- it depends because in a gm its better to use qstorm than a basic auto, now everything changes with surges nf and load outs. But for now I am talking about one on one weapons.

You're definitely sleeping on Centrifuse, its an awesome new addition(one of best season pass exotics weve gotten) and is a very strong option in general, but even more so on an Arc Subclass(borderline OP with catalyst). Ive been farming GMs heavily this week, Fallen Saber, playing with all sorts of options and Centrifuse has been one of the strongest & most fun. If you havent given it a shot, get the catalyst, put together your favorite arc build and enjoy!

@@zorpglorpyou don’t have to. The catalyst keeps it charged when you’re amplified. It’s very good with arc builds

@@zorpglorpwith the catalyst, you lose no charge while you’re amplified, and passively gives you charge too. Only way you would lose charge is if you reloaded
@@zorpglorp it charges up to full after depleting in like 2 seconds bro. And it stays fully charged all the time even if you’re not moving, as long as you’re amplified which is super easy with arc builds especially arc warlocks. You can be amplified almost 24/7
Sweet Sorrow with Stats for all and one for all is the best legendary auto in the game. Its not even close. An easily applied 35% buff on a 720. Krait is #2 in kinetic slot as it can have the same roll. Its only 5% less damage than quicksilver and it doesn't take up an exotic slot. How is this not OP?

I full on agree with ammit being the best. I got mine last year and I put incandescent and ambitious assassin on it and it basically got turned into an lmg. You can get around 110 rounds in it which makes it amazing for dealing with swarms of enemies
I don't use Ammit as much as maybe I should, as it competes for the slot with the BxR and Calus Mini. Three great choices on the solar build for that slot. This season due to the artifact mod for ARs I've used it more. Next season who knows.
You are wild for putting Tommy Matchbook at garbage. Tommy causes ignitions and legit is so good in PVE with the right build. I’ve been using Tommy for PVE endgame like raids and seasonal content and it legit a monster on ad clear
if monte carlo gets to be in good, i cannot understand centrifuse being maybe. easy, no cooldown blind is incredibly useful in ad-dense content, and it puts out fine in almost any situation ive used it in.
Tommy with Loreley's splendor goes hard as balls, get it up to maybe.

Placing tommy on garbage but centrifuse besides buisness, kinda sensing you've never tested both of them to their limits with the right setup and armors, trust me, tommy's on the hands of a proper solar build is scary, ignoring its full auto 100 round self ignition outhealing everything and nonstop ignitioning evertyhing around, and no, im not talking outhealing something as a warlock, i mean as A TITAN OR A HUNTER.

Scathelocke is my number one favorite auto rifle of all D2, and I'm still sad that i never got my god roll with the reissued perks. But at least I've got Old Sterling now, which is the same aesthetic and archetype, just green.

@@realfake6669 that, with Smallbore and Accurized rounds with a Range masterwork would be my ideal. Although a Stability masterwork would be almost as good to help reduce flinch.
Scathelocke is not OP, but definitely doesn't belong in "Maybe?"
I use Scathelocke with Subsistence and Rampage all the time, for non PvE endgame it's very strong
It's like Huckleberry in Legendary, and Huckleberry is A or S-tier
But other than that, I roughly agree with you for the rest
And Duty Bound is also very good with Stats for All and One for All for endgame PvE
Also, I'm on console and I think 600rpm ARs feel best on console

You know that huckleberry’s rampage perk doesn’t work like every version of rampage right ? Huckleberry is the only gun in the game that retains the original rampage numbers which is 66% at max damage. Every other gun with rampage only gets %33 and huckleberry refills the entire mag with a kill while subsistence only refills some of it and huckleberry’s is a exotic primary giving it an automatic %40 extra damage to red bars. Scathelocke is absolutely garbage compared to huckleberry

And Huckleberry itself doesn't refill the whole magazine, only with Catalyst, means Huckleberry without Catalyst is just Subsistence
Positive Outlook is great for Void synergy with access to things like Destabilizing Rounds and Repulsor Brace.
You're using Centrifuse wrong if you think it's Maybe. Equipped with an Arc subclass this weapon will make you Amplified and continuous firing charges the weapon. It could use some tweaking but being able to Blind groups of ads makes it an excellent weapon.
Positive Outlook can get Destabilising Rounds or Repulsor Brace or Golden Tricorn, it definitely should be in Good tier.
The destabilizing rounds alone make this gun killer you can plow through lots of different enemies void or not

Lodbrock, Perpetualis, and Rufus Fury are all kinetic/strand slot ARs that have target lock. For energy, Coronach and the new revised Age Old Bond also have target lock
Matchbook got an update, friend. Its doing substantially better! It's not the best especially since it does require some elbow grease to get it working. but it's definitely something to play around with. Particularly on Titan with Loreley Splendor. there's some pretty cracked builds with those 2 exotics paired together! On its own however, it's not going to be the best but definitely a lot of fun and mutch stronger with its update.

Can confirm positive outlook is more tailored for pvp (I use a tap the trigger kill clip roll)
I have a drop mag gnawing hunger with subsistence and demo it’s actually broken with void warlock build
Cerberus was my first exotic so i learned how to use it properly. Its got a more exotic feel since it's unique and not just a "legendary plus". Its damage escalation for mid range is sort of the key to its use.. It's not s tier and forget accuracy. But it hits hard when you know how to use it.

bro back in season 13 i did some GMs and got my overflow one for all shadow price and since then ive gotten 30k kills with it i love it
I am SO looking forward to the Horror Story Stasis makeover. Some really amazing perk combinations and the Nadir Focus trait is top-notch.
Tigerspite is a good auto rifle with a good perk pool. I don't understand why you put it in no. Actually for some of the weapons, you didn't give a reason why you out them there and that barely proves any point as why you put them there.
Also centrifuse is an amazing gun to use with an arc subclass on the warlock for pvp

Centrifuge gains charge not only by sprinting, but by sliding and shooting too. Don’t remember what the catalyst does, but I I think it might make the centrifuge stay overcharged longer.
I think the catalyst makes it so you gain charge for it while you're amplified?

I would bump up Sweet Business to the good column though. So fun with hi add strikes, nightfalls etc. with Actium War Rig. Otherwise spot-on!

Reckless Oracle is a 720 rpm auto, your video is written in a way that makes it sound like it’s a 360. I also totally disagree that Reckless Oracle is garbage, I think it’s the best in slot 720.

I love AR's so seeing this video and agreeing with nearly everything was nice. Centrifuse does deserve to go into the Good tier because you can have some builds where you can add Centrifuse into and it'll make it a monster.
Forward Path is absolutely the best Legendary auto imo. 4th Times, Swashbuckler, and backup mag👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Absolutely tears and is on the same level as Quicksilver in PvP. I’ve had it for years and it’s never left my inventory. The recoil, or lack there of is what makes it such a beast.
I have an 80k kill counter on one of my Forward Paths, from back in the static roll era which was never allowed to move up in light, so I keep it on hand as a keepsake.

Reckless oracle is NOT garbage.
I know these are nuanced opinions but fact is fact and reckless oracle is definitely not a 360rpm. It’s a 720 frame and it’s definitely it trash. I’d say a step below knowing hunger depending on roll. Love the content!

The gnawing hunger with zen moment and Rampage... that xur sold... it has quickly become my pvp beast! Other than that i haven't used many auto rifles in crucible.
Shadow Price is *HYPER* consistent. That's pretty much the only reason I never scrapped mine.

Quicksilver is my go to in pvp. Win so many duels and even being out numbered. Head shots and no drop off on rocket damage is great
Out here with a masterworked lodbrok. I love it. I enjoy slow firing weapons so it's good for me.
