I'm not going to watch this video right now. I'm going to watch the part two first, so that I will see in the worst order the worst order to watch star wars
In terms of the skywalker saga alone: -The Last Jedi -Revenge of the Sith -The Phantom Menace -Return of the Jedi -The Rise of Skywalker -The Empire Strikes Back -Attack of the Clones -A New Hope -The Force Awakens
I was going to say Force Awakens, Last Jedi, Rise of Skywalker Like, imagine seeing this first order rise, then seeing it and Snoke fall in the second movie Then seeing some random guy appear in the third film and say, no, actually he was behind it all and stuff Then I realised that's the actual order of the films, damn, the sequels kinda suck, but let's continue Episode 7,8,9,4,5,6,1,2,3 The first trilogy would be a mess The second would be a repeat of the first for some reason, and a giant flashback to explain the past Even though it's the same thing Then the thrid trilogy would be different, finally, then you realise it's another elongated flashback If you don't give up by the second trilogy, you'll be left confused and unsatisfied by th end of it all
This is almost as nightmarish as the time I saw someone sugesting to watch the entirety of Doctor Who (you know, the 50+ year old show about time travel) in chronological order instead of following the Doctor chronology
I mean following the Doctor's timeline also sucks if you commit to it. Ideal viewing experience is just the handpicked best Third and Fourth Doctor stories, then 2005 onwards jumping back into Classic any time you feel like it imo.
It should start with Andor, then Solo, then Book of Boba Fett. Starting off strong and slowly getting worse, but maintaining a vibe that this is a series rooted in street level crime drama in a vaguely science fantasy setting. Then, immediately slam dunk them into Rise of Skywalker. Just complete jump-the-shark magic shit about two different legendary bloodlines you've literally never heard anything about that is somehow supposed to tie back to the same Empire you've been hearing about for two movies and a TV show. Then make them watch the Star Wars Holiday Special. They'll no longer have any idea what this series is supposed to be.
The Worst Worst Order:The Rise of Skywalker > The Book of Boba Fett > Tales of the Jedi > Acolyte > Tales of the Empire > The Empire Strikes Back > The Last Jedi > Ashoka > The Force Awakens > A New Hope > Holiday Special > Obi-Wan Kenobi > The Clone Wars > Rogue One > Attack of the Clones > Rebels > Solo > Revenge of the Sith > Mandalorian > Return of the Jedi > The Phantom Menace
I think the worst way is actually just chronological with sequels. You watch the story get better with each movie, building up this lore and this world. By the time you finish episode 6 you’re so invested in the world and everything is great. And then you have to suffer through 3 movies of everything you have grown to love being systematically destroyed in worse and worse ways
I think putting Episode 9 right after episode 6 would be the worst. Sure you would have more context on who palpatine is but watching them in this order would completely ruin 6 right away
best order to start watching starwars: start with episode 2 of Asoka, then go to season 3 episiode 1 of the clone wars, then watch episode 7 of boba fett then go to episode 5 of the acolyte then go to episode 4 of knobi then 3 then 2 then 5 then 1 of knobi, the watch boba fett episode 6 then watch mandolorian season 3 episode 3 then watch clone wars season 2 episode 3 then watch the holoday special, then watch final three episodes of clone wars in reverse order, the watch the last jedi, then watch episode 1 of the acolyte then watch mandalorian season 1 episode 3 then watch the knights of the old republic cinematics then watch season 1 episode 8 of the mandalorian, then watch the empire strikes back, then watch the bad batch season 1 episode 3
You know what? Having rise of Skywalker come before Return of the Jedi would actually be pretty great because it would make the significance of Darth Vader killing palpatine way better. I think it ruins it when palpatine is back from the dead in rise of skywalker.
4, 5, 6 then half of the original trilogy and then the last movie of the sequels. That's how I did it. You don't miss out on younglings and palpatine double death You get to see one Skywalker to become strongest jedi ever, than suddenly switch to Skywalker becoming the strongest jedi ever, and then out of nowhere another jedi who is kinda the last one claims she is a Skywalker Actually, I think the worst way is to watch 9th movie first, so when you watch the prequels you know who Palpatine is and that he is going to die in the last movie, but suddenly he dies halfway through and you start to question if it even makes sense.
curious on how you handle The Clone Wars and Rebels since they have multiple seasons meaning either you split them into separate entries for maximum confusion or will there just be an occasional moment of "you get to mostly enjoy an entire this time" (since each show assumes you watched something else first) At the very least I expect Rebels before TCW because of the returning characters (which isn't that different from real life since TCW was cancelled before Season 7 confirmed the fates of said characters) Also since you introduced _The Holiday Special_ does that mean the Ewok Movies as well as the 2D Clone Wars series are fair game? I found this bc I’ve been meaning to watch Star Wars for the first time and was considering just doing everything chronologically (in story) but this is better I’ll lyk how it was in a month if I remeber
Before watching the video I feal I should mention the way I am running through the movies in lego starwars tss. That being phantom menace, new hope, farce awakens, attack of the clones, empire strikes back, the last idiot, revenge of the sith, return of the jedi, and rise of nobody. Though that order was intended to not leave me having to run through all 3 sequal movies at once.
A noble sacrifice, but those levels are extremely short and repetitive and the mechanics are dumb compared to the original Complete Saga, the irony of the title of the game is it doesn't contain the sequels so you'll enjoy it 100x more even though is an older game.
The ultimate order to watch was suggested by Vinny from Vinesauce and is called the "Master Order", and it goes like this, first is the Holiday Special, next is Rise of Skywalker, then it's Phantom Menace, and lastly the rest is up to you
The worst of OG, the worst of Sequels, (probably) the worst of Prequels. Nice. Especially since you can just go in release order from there (and skip TFA & TLJ).
BOBF and last Jedi kinda work together - Luke skywalker is building the Jedi temple in BOBF and then you see that it’s destroyed in TLJ Could definitely do worse
