What about reviewing risks, plans etc? Do you set a time in your calendar to review them? Because it's all well and good having a great risk log but if no one uses it then it's useless.
Hi Adriana, I would like to ask your advise. I have 10 projects right now where 1 project is taking a toll of my mental health. It is too complex for me, language barrier and difficult stakeholders. I tried my best to improve my performance but still I feel no added value in the group and feeling incompetent. This gives me stress, anxiety and to the point of giving up. What should I do? 😢
First, look at this difficult project with a critical and insightful eye. Look at the process of the project to find out where it needs improvement. When you find this out ask yourself if you have the skills to carry this project forward? You will need this for your discussion with your manager. Second, set up a meeting with your manager explaining your issues and your potential solutions which could include being removed from the project. You do need to take care of your mental health. If you don’t it will not only be this one project that is causing you stress. I don’t know the full scope of the situation but want you to know that you got this. Just look at things from a logical perspective and come up with potential solutions to address the issues. You need to escalate this and seek help from your manager and or sponsor.
