      This isn’t tiki taka. Every pass brighton play is with purpose. Tiki taka was trying to confuse opponents structure to then exploit them during the game by passing as quickly as possible(yes Barca was that good that they could essentially pass the ball around a couple of times and figure out on the spot what their weakness was and exploit it; their improv was that good). Man city and Brighton play specific passes and routines to get a team to be in a specific position to exploit the already planned weakness. Tactically much different. Obviously this is very broad and I have mentioned none of the details. Playing tiki taka effectively is the hardest thing to do in football imo

    • @rafaelguasp1141
      @rafaelguasp1141 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@emilevangheem6165# 1 you are wrong. This is tiki taka. Tiki taka is not just one version of it like 09 barcelona.
      #2 u basically said barcelona had no purpose of our passing, and basically disrespecting barcelona by trying to say we got away with doing passes with no meaning because we were lucky to have good players lol and then u literally describe the meaning of the passes after calling it meaningless, wich is passing the ball around to confuse opponents. So there is a purpose? Wich one is it?
      #3 you are wrong in that city does specific passes for specific routines for specific teams. U can know what formation or players will play, but you dont know how the players will move or rotate on the pitch. If that was the case pep would never have a bad game. Theres a reason he changes gameplans at half time after seeing how they move and mark. Stop disrespecting barcelona bro. Pep plays tiki taka with city, this is tiki taka, and tiki taka has plenty of version of it. Some can be heavily possessive, others tiki takas can have counters, very offensive, defensive, holding, attacking. It's not just one definition of it. The fact that u think tiki taka is only 09 Barcelona says it all.
      #4 tiki taka in barcelona is not passing the ball around to confuse and then figure things out on the fly. Tiki taka is about having more possession for yourself, less possession for the other team, so now u have more chances to score, and to be able to move the opponents by your passing and opening gaps to attack. There nothing random or on the spot about it. And citys gameplan is not that specific. But things like trying to play the ball starting from your gk on the ground and pass the ball onto their half is tiki taka football. Unlike booting it up the pitch.

      @@rafaelguasp1141 Man city and Brighton aren’t tiki taka Barca from this year isn’t tiki taka. Just because their base is positional play doesn’t mean it’s tiki taka. I consider tiki taka constant fast bal movement and I am sorry to say but as nice as it was to watch some of the passed weren’t necessary. I mean you do realise they watch the games form the other teams. They know how they will probably set-up and play. Doesn’t mean they always get it right but then Pep tries to tweak his system. Tiki taka was so effective with the players he had that he rarely tweaked a lot

    Brighton 2 - 3 AEK Athens.
    Welcome to the reality of playing a team with European pedigree that is champions in their own land. All the money in the world can't buy experience and the champions mentality. I don't understand why English media is surprised at these results. Aston Villa beaten by Leigia Warsaw in Poland ( why on earth where you under the impression that Leigia Warsaw in Poland should be a win for Villa? )

      coz they know less or watched less about athens or leigia warsaw. So they expected them to be easier to beat.

    If Chelsea went for De Zerbi ,it would have been better than Potter....

      It wouldn't have made a difference. Brighton has structure, Chelsea doesn't.
      You have very low football IQ. Must be new to this.

    Pep want all the team play llike that so it will be easy job for him to dominate EPL 😂😂 He will sell his philosophy but he so smart because he will only chose club that provides him unlimited budget!! The BEST philosophy is to find a strategy to WIN based on your team and the opponent team strengths and weaknesses. Jose Mourinho is the master. Pep many times destroyed by Jose. Prime Barcelona lost to Inter Milan..lost to RM after Jose build the team..Prime Man City lost to worst Man United and then lost to worst Tottenham team. Let say we change side.. Jose with Prime Barca and Man City team VS Pep with his philosophy with Inter and worst Man United and Tottenham.. Believe me it will be worst than Brighton side that easily lost more than 3 goals every game 😂😂😂
    That why he can win UCL with City after 6 years & with huge spending & only 2x finalist in 8 years compare to Klopp taking weaker Liverpool team but able to win in 4 years & 3x finalist in 9 years !! Madrid 4x UCL champions with Ancelotti WINNING philosophy 😂😂😂. If any EPL teams having budget and having WINNING Tropy philosophy then bring Jose, Conte , Klopp then Pep will retired sooner than later 😂😂😂

    Hate this positional play rehearsed nonsense. Wish I was born earlier to enjoy some individualism. Football is boring. My gen don't even watch full games

    And that's why Pep is the best coach and could literally beat any coach in world football right now. If you can understand someone's else tactics this much then you'd definitely know what to do to counter it. Pep is a genius. Roberto De zerbi I love that man. I see him coaching a bigger team soon. Maybe Man City
