Hi Tim. Always enjoy watching your videos even if the shoe is not for me I still learn a lot from them and it’s so good to see you back making these reviews after all your injury problems. Great stuff. Ian 🇬🇧
I am also flat-footed and was just saying I need to find a stability shoe for my daily runs. This video came at the perfect time Tim! You gave me a great jumping-off point with this shoe, thanks!
Since the weight of this year's Gel-Kayano and Gel-Nimbus is about the same, I have seen Asics athletes using the Gel-Kayano 31 ! Those big heavy shoes can be awesome as well ! Jakob Ingebrigtsen ( won 5000 meters at Paris Olympics) from Nike uses all the time the Nike Structure 25. This Structure 25 is my favorite shoes from Nike right now, followed by the Invincible 3. I will get a pair of the Gel-Kayano 31, because last year instead the Kayano I got the GT 2000 12 for a change. Also a fantastic stability shoes that are very lightweight by the way.
Not had ASICS for a long time but this shoe is tempting...your foot strike did seem very stable and neutral in the film....they look like they are built to last too.....Many thanks as always for posting the review Tim.
Thanks for the review. Just picked up a pair myself. Larger flat footed runner and these were recommended by running store. Kayano 30 seems pretty close and cheaper for a second pair
the reason you are my favorite shoe reviewer is because you have flat footed and severe over pronate just like me and your running style also almost the same as me. so what you felt in a shoe will more likely be the same as mine too.
Tim, happy to see your reviews again. Years ago due to your insight I bought the hoka bondi and clifton, still think those are great. Does the kayano work for suppinators too?
Great review. I am a mid foot striker, sometimes forefoot when running faster. I see you are the same... actually you look like you are quite a forefoot striker. Do you find that this higher drop shoe with the huge heel gets in the way of your foot strike? I might be overthinking it :) I'm between this and the Nimbus 26 right now for daily trainer.
Hey thanks. I greatly appreciate it. No the high drops don't seem to get in the way at all. I've been enjoying these. Thanks for all of your support. Have a great weekend!
@@ahmedgamal6167 Thanks, Tim. I have been in the market for a lighter daily "all around" trainers with wider toe box. The ON Cloudeclipse is good but legs are mushed after 9 miles due to its weight and squish-ness! Just ordered the Adidas Boston 12 as they tend to run big. May give Gel Kayano a try also.
I haven't had any issues with the heel feeling too loose in the Kayano 31. They are working really well for me. Have a great weekend. Thanks for watching!

A great shoe and I love the forefoot rocker!

very solid review. Flat feet and overpronate here and so... you know what you talking about. Congrats. Kayano is unique.
I hope training is going well! These shoes look fun!
Not a stability shoe runner, but I appreciate your reviews.

Won’t the heel feel a bit too loose?
