I wasn’t too worried tried to get on the road before it was dark. Plus this way no one else has ridden the bike. 😁 Unless some of them maybe have fuel tanks at the store!? Not sure but they took good care of us!
Congrats.. I also have a 24 White Onyx Pearl Road Glide with chrome trim. That screen is what sold me. Getting up near 1000 miles. Still loving it. Great video.
That’s awesome! 🤘Agree the white is incredible in the sun and I actually like the way it looks with chrome more than black and it saved money! I’m challenging myself to try to get to 1000 asap had it three days so far and at 300 currently! Thanks for watching
I also got the white and chrome, except I got the Street Glide. There are a lot fewer than the white and black which is a good thing. Think you put more miles on your ride home than I have yet but I’m loving every chance I get to ride. Enjoy!
Congrats! Picked up a 24 White Street Glide with Black trim. Absolutely love my bike. Had trouble with the radio not working and now they didn’t even know the home link has to be flashed!
Thanks, congrats to you too. These bikes are awesome! I haven’t had any radio issues yet luckily but won’t be surprised if I run into something with it.
That’s crazy I just bought a 24 street glide and my dealer told me to stay under 3500 rpm and away from the cruise control for the first 500-1000 miles. They said to vary the speed and rpm don’t stay at a steady rpm for a long period during the break in period. Anyone ever heard of this before?
I was told the same thing. I didn’t use cruise coming back and made sure to vary throttle the entire way. Tried my best to stay under 3500 rpm but staying safe in and out of traffic was a bit more important at times but for the most part I did my best to do everything you mentioned while riding it back. Have 300 miles on it now and did the same thing on the other rides.
@@BuildTuneRace ok, just making sure they aren’t blowing smoke up my a$$. Because I didn’t have as long of a ride home as you, but would have made it much faster to take the freeway instead of the back roads.
Look on the older cbr forum posts. There's a guy whose broken in hundreds of race engines. The factory way is to make sure new riders don't wrap it around a pole or something. He even has comparison pics of pistons after a whole season of racing. Factory way are brown amd carboned up, his way are still silver. Says it will cost you like 20% of your power breaking them in the way the factory says. Also- when you get an upgrade before you take it home they dyno it to almost red line sooo.....
What do you mean stop for gas? They didn’t fill it up for you.😮 every bike I’ve bought they’ve always filled the tank up same thing with a new car. They always fill the tank.
Wow! That's the first time Ive ever seen a dealer send off a new Harley without a full tank of gas!!!!

That was definitely an oversight, your dealer dropped the ball on that. I would use it to my advantage on the 1000 mile service 🤙🏻
I recently purchased a 2024 Road Glide in Sharkskin blue and black trim.
Congrats man. I just got one yesterday. They are so smooth.

They cant even fill it up for you when you buy a new bike?
What a sweet looking bike 👍👍
Have a thing for white and polished these days lol
I have bought a couple HD's from SUN. Are they still selling at MSRP since they are under new ownership?
They worked me a really good deal on this bike! If you go in talk to Karrie and Chris I’m sure they will get you a solid deal! 🤘

Break in period. It's to score and seat the pistons in the rings properly.

Very nice scoot been riding most of my life. I'm in my 50's. Wife rides her own.
That’s awesome, Thanks for watching! April has a Ninja 250 and her motorcycle endorsement but finally have a bike that will be nice to ride together!
Congratulations 🎉
Are you gonna come cruise raceweek with us?
I’ll be working and rocking the media van! Would be fun though!
good choice awesome color .... enjoy
🤘Thanks!!
@@BuildTuneRace no worries I'm looking forward to see what you do with it and how you like it
Did you ask to ride the bike out the front door? You should have, they're OK with that and it makes for an awesome home video
Haha didn’t even think about that, but could have been cool! 😂
Lmao 😂😂😂
I got the same one
Congratulations 🎊
awesome dude enjoy
Thanks! Will do!
That dudes beard matches his shirt
A harley in no way resembles a camaro race car lol.
Hit sub button .. bless u a the bike..👍
Hope the Venezuelan gangs don’t steel it .
It's a brave soul that rides with the idiot drivers in Colorado these days. My prayers are with you 🙏
Appreciate it, wouldn’t probably make that ride any other time than to get it home! Take the more scenic route in the future!
oh boy.....another 2024 review....who cares dude.....
Imagine being this sad.
If you don't care that much you could have just shudup and kept scrolling.
