Just had to give major kudos to the cinematography of this episode. The colors of everyone's attire matches and complements their background perfectly. Brian's warmer shirt matches the more orange lights illuminating the bar, and Jason's blue matches the natural daylight coming in on the right.

After a brief panic, I somewhat successfully recalled the 5 ingredients from this episode as "Base, Bitter, Sour, Sweet, Filler" Not quite the descriptors they used, but close enough for me to grab random things from their fridge and pantry (Beef Eater's Gin, White Vermouth, Lemon Juice, Grenadine, and Seltzer Water) I'd probably only be happy ordering it for $2 or less, but everyone seemed pleased enough with it ... so Thanks

I like how Jason was able to decline a taste without question or hesitation (at least in the edit). I don't know or care what his reason is, but I'm sure we've all noticed he hasn't been involved in a boozy episode for a while and it makes me happy to see not drinking in a social situation normalised. Although he did seem a little uncomfortable after...maybe not quite ready for it yet?
I am curious about his reason. I know he drank in some of the earlier episodes. I can think of two and one of those two is the one I’m hoping for. 1. He realized he had a problem and quit and is not wanting to slip. 2. Something health related.

I have a question, and I don't mean to sound dumb about it. What's the difference between a punch bowl and making a large-quantity cocktail? Like, if you made an Old-Fashioned with the amount to fill the bowl, what would it be called?
I know nothing about bartending or mixing drinks. But a trick I learned is when you have to make a drink to please lots of people, that may not like the spirit you choose. I have found grain alcohol has a clearer tasteless profile than even vodka. As long as you dilute it down. I use 1 part grain alcohol to 2 parts water or something else...

Do lime juice, agave nectar, tequila, and seltzer for a margarita punch. Or lemon, simple syrup, rum and fruit juice for a Barbados punch. But the ratio of 1:2:3:4 is pretty reliable.

You should know your drinkers before adding grapefruit. People with heart issues shouldn't drink grapefruit because it will neutralize their medications. Mostly for older groups, but not exclusively.

Lightly fermented honey works great on its on in cocktails. It thins out from the process and mixes better than raw honey.
Afraid of what might have fallen into the punch? Just make sure it has enough alcohol to sterilize
