Again really enjoyed this. Some unbelievable misses from both players that you just don’t see nowadays but adds to the tension and the spectacle beautifully. Hard to believe that Joe was world champion only 4 years earlier. Obviously his health not great here, real shame, but fabulous in the commentary box now on the subject of commentary I miss the dulcet tones of Clive Everton. Such great knowledge of the game. BBC Should never have axed him.
@@dvidclapperton = No way! Damn decent player was Darren!! Beaten Davis in 2 Finals & been 'runner up' of plenty. Respected player is he who didn't quite achieve the status of those 2, but same for many. Ranked 8th on occasion'S hardly crap + was a Pro for 18 years. Even beat The Rocket?
@@richardtooley9292 To be honest although he will be classed by many as a one hit wonder what a lot of people don't realise is he won 2 other smaller events after the Worlds in 86. He also reached the World Final the following year and the final of the 1983 Players tournament which was a ranking event losing narrowly 9-8 to Knowles in the final. The two invitational events he won were in 1987 Scottish Masters beating Hendry on the way and Griffiths in the final and the 1989 Norwich Union Grand Prix once again beating Hendry in the final. All in all that isn't a bad career!

Johnson losing to a Darren Morgan who always appeared to cop a hiding off Davis and Hendry.

Thanks
1:30...he's still so, so good at those shots. In fact I think he's better at them these days than he was back then!
JJ is great in the commentary box now
Hi mate
Great videos uploads got anymore tony Knowles stuff ? 😊👍
Johnson must've been kicking himself losing 16 and 17
Johnson didn't stay a top pro for long really did he
No. How far did you go?
Joe was a very good player but he had that one tournament where everything clicked (1986 World Championship)
In the top 16 for 5 seasons, but heart and eye problems beset his career in the early 1990s.
@@jeremycarter284 eight world titles bro
