@@romanreckless8263 the difference is though, MvG almost always is in his (near) best form, so it is rare if he isn’t (like this year). That’s what I meant, and that’s why he lost this match. Also, I think MvG’s best form is better than the other’s best form but that may be just my opinion...
Peter deserves to win the tournament, but I won't be disappointed if Dimitri wins he too is a brilliant player and like peter a gentleman and a sportsman, the best of luck to you both it will be a brilliant performance and well deserved result! This is the best that Peter Wright has ever played and he will never equal it again. Unless someone enlightens him on what he's actually doing here which is so different than what he is so certain of. Hence always changing his darts.
Peter is a different chap he wants to win world championship s but he doesn't feel comfortable being number one in the world. It's just his personality and nothing wrong with that just he has a big kind heart

From there, it was mostly sailing for Peter. It wasn't literally when he won but rather the detrmining moment.
21 180's it is just phenomenal. I don't think Eric Bristow John Lowe in any of there matches came close although they were great players of the 70's 80's. Its probably 5 180's in one hour to get at there standard!
I apologize to people who are very familiar with darts. I love the game, but why do they sometimes aim for the triple 19 after hitting the triple 20. Is it so the dart won't hit the darts already on the board? Sorry, i have no idea.
Depends how the first dart goes. If it goes just below the triple, then for some players is better to switch to 19, as it is blocking the way for triple 20, also the same reason if it goes quite far from triple 20, because then it is hard for plenty of players to adjust it by this distance. Of course plenty of players just stay on triple 20 regardless of what they throw, but sometimes you can see that they have basically no chance to hit it as the path is blocked.
How does the announcer calculate the count so quick and same as the dart thrower? Im sitting over here counting slow and they are right ontop of it like a robot
