i agree to this. this was my budget meal when i was new at work coz its big and tasty, even though there is jolijeep also same price, on the side street of somewhere in makati where i work before.
As someone who also has easy access to both 7-11 and Lawson, I share your sentiments too. Lawson has had a lot of misses lately; and surprisingly, 7-11's menu is getting better, especially their limited time offerings. But for me, Uncle John's (rebranded from Ministop) still takes the cake as the best convenience store here in the Philippines. Their fried chicken easily blows 7-11 out of the water.
7-11 is indeed superior, Lawson is mostly known for the coffee in my opinion lol, and Ministop just doesn't have enough options other than chicken honestly

been watching Mikey for sometime now and really enjoy his videos.......HOWEVER, it feels like hes doing just 7/11 videos every other day and ramen videos.
Hi Mike, Next time you have Filipino Fried Chicken with gravy, try this: add some Mike's Chen Chilli Oil to the gravy and rice, then mix it all together. This combo is absolutely dynamite! Enjoy, bro.
siopao (porkbun) here in the PH is always paired with a sweet savory sauce called asado sauce. there should be one in the packaging or bag somewhere. and gravies are usually paired with fried chicken as dip.
Filipino food is mostly a combination of salty, sweet and sour (either from vinegar or a sour fruit like tamarind). You'll encounter any of the possible combinations like sweet and sour, sweet and salty, sour and salty, a little bit sour with salt, a little bit salty with sour, and even all three: equally sweet, salty and sour. etc. The sweet isn't like candy sweet, more like savory sweet like orange chicken.
Huh. Fancy meeting you here. I literally just got back to Thailand from visiting Philippines yesterday. Both have great foods but Philippines 711 definitely does not count.
Hi sir the gravy is for the chicken for dipping, for the sisig put some soy sauce to make it much better and lastly try the choco butternut of dunkin donut that's amazing and might to consider the boston cream, again used the asado sauce, you might consider the homemade version of the embu stands for "embutido", laing is a bicolano delicacy taro leaves cooked in coconut milk, in bicol that is a very spicy food

I used to buy breakfast at 7/11 before going to work. I miss those days where I get excited to buy food there and it just makes my day! The packaging and texture of the food kinda sucks but the flavor is there.
Whenever we order food at Lawson, we had to remind always the staff to reheat them pretty well. Cuz they only heat them up for few secs. I also thought it happens a lot in lawson in our area but now i think it also happens on some after watching this
Waaa you're in Newport!!! I have settled nearby that area before, but a bit far now. Compared before, 711 have leveled-up their options since Lawson and Uncle John's offered better options, but still leagues away compared to Taiwan, Thailand and Japan 711.
this is probably an open secret but in the Philippines Jollibee's fried chicken has become the gold standard fried chicken that every store that's trying to sell fried chicken also jollibee is the one that set the standard that fried chicken is always accompanied by a chicken gravy that's why most convenient stores accompany their fried chicken with gravy.
711 sisig and giniling got me through lockdown when I got stranded in Manila. Saved my wallet AND the taste is not bad for the price, if anything we would crave it after awhile and just douse it in knorr chilli toyomansi.
you have NO idea how happy i am that you picked up a choco butternut donut, it's one of my favorites of all time and i always eat it in the philippines! you need to try it from dunkin tho it's so much better lolz
