Mike, living in South Africa and being bed ridden is awful. I'm lucky to have your videos to watch and dream about. We don't have any of the stunning foods you have there especially the convenience stores. You are a star. Thank you for the superb videos you do.
I’m sorry to hear that you are bedridden. I’ve barely been able to get out of bed for the last 9+years. Mike’s posts are pretty much the highlight of my day. I’m able to get some of the items he tries and have my wonderful caregivers prepare them for me. Sending 💕from Oregon, USA.
I'm so sorry to hear that you are bedridden. I have been in the same situation for a year this coming October. Watching Mike's videos have been such a pleasure for me too. I'll be praying for you.💛💛
Wow, you got here right before the typhoon strike! Hope you survived all right.😉👍 We have good flood control system so people usually don't die by a typhoon or two, but shut down of transportation system is not nice for tourists. I wish your filming went well.
As someone who had to look up celsius to Fahrenheit.. 24°C is only 75°F and 32°C is 89°F. That doesn't seem hot at all. 75°F sounds like a cool spring day. Stormy, yes, but steamy? When I go down to Florida in the summer, it's around 36°C and that's pretty normal for down there. Also, I'm just gonna use celsius from now on. I have no idea how to convert it without internet but I can't wait for this 75°C day tomorrow. Seems like a day for long sleeves.
There's a huge difference in sandwich makings. Japan, they fill the entire slice of bread, to make a proper sandwich. The US fills it just enough, that makes a crustables look like a banquet.
the man is a food blogger and doesn't know the difference between udon and soba. Can't say I'm surprised as he travels all over the world and eats the same food over and over again.
For the teriyaki chicken and egg sandwiches, you'll want to get the ones from 7/11. I became obsessed with them over the last year or so, and ended up trying the different versions at various conbinis here. 7/11 wins, hands down! 🤤
This is what I love about you Mike. It's not "Each dish has to be its own thing" nah you're like me "Hey, I like potato salad, I like curry, I like rice... why not combine them?" *munch munch munch* "oooh fuck yes"
I’ve seen fried chicken served with Tatar sauce before and I thought how weird, but then I made some karate and put some tatar sauce on it. I’m hooked, it’s sooooo good.
That's not what it is. The fried chicken is dunked in a sauce of soysauce, vinegar and sugar. The chicken is battered, not just dusted with starch like karaage, so that the batter can be thick enough to absorb the sauce
Thank you so much for these videos! You're awesome! It's funny, I don't generally like fish, but I'm kind of obsessed with sushi. The spicy crab roll (not real sushi, IMO,) and the rainbow roll have been my favorites. A lot of the sushi places around here are totally ok with selling you rancid tasting salmon and tuna, so I don't really get much sushi these days.
Keep up the lovely videos they alwsys make me happy and thank you for all the foods from their stores hope to visit there someday so thank you gor showing me where to est great for pennies
12:53 Oahu Hawaii 7-11's food options is bomb. Japan takes it another level but you should try coming back here and do a 7-11 Honolulu review. I know you would love it.
That smoked cheese is made from processed cheese. Milk fermented with lactic bacteria and the resulting cheese melted and mixed with emulsifier to be shaped into a solid form again.
Can't wait for the American 7-11s to become more like their Japanese counterparts. Sure, it won't be the same quality wise, but to have a taste of what is available in Japan would be amazing.
*urge to return to Japan intensifies* I WIIIIIIIIISH I could go back to Japan someday! Combini stores are a whole 'nother world in Japan because good quality food for dirt cheap is a combi we've not mastered just yet most of the time in the US.

@@prettyboivegan yeah but it's about quality too. making something tasty with a few ingredients from the market instead of processed packaged foods with 1000 scientific ingredients made in a laboratory that you don't even know what they are
While I like watching all of Mike's Videos, I'm just glad someone hasn't made his using the word "Umami" into a drinking game, where everytime he say's Umami you take a drink, LOL! But I guess the word "Umami" sounds more refined or cultured than just saying Savory or Meaty. The same with the word "Ginormous".
Tarter Sauce on chicken, I have found my people! I swear McDees wants to bury me out back when I ask for tater Sauce on my chicken sandwiches lol If you haven't tried it, you need to!
Carbs and starches in every meal. How can one eat so much without going into a food coma? It's interesting to see all the different foods and of course he's eating them for us, but soooo much.

My most memorable eating experiences come from Asian convenience stores. The ability to mix and match favorite foods is awesome!

My favorite food vlogger. ❤ love these videos. I can't wait to go back to Japan in a few years!
The difference in the American and Japanese 7-11 food would probably have to do with the terrible fillers the FDA allows into American foods.
Well 7-eleven america is about to undergo a makeover to become more like 7-eleven japan.
@@artmediazreally? That sounds great
@@Peacekeeper_84 yeah just look it up
Great news tho! US 7-11s in time are gonna be like Japan's now, and 7-11 is now owned by a Japanese company too
Also the fact that they dont sell japanese style food in american 7-11's? lmao

Mike, they've had translators on apps for a long time now, if you want to know if your cheese is gouda.
Love that your watching Kengan Ashura. One of my favorite animes :D
I love the matcha KitKats. I busy at least 3 bags everytime I see them 😂

Sushi Zanmai has fantastic quality for a sushi chain. Their food is often better than most sushi restaurants in the US.
One of the things I miss the most about living in Japan is the 7eleven.
Love these convenience store videos

You absolutely MUST do the broccoli egg sandwich!
I really wanna try it now. Might report back if I do.

Love that you’re using Alaska this video!! Wanted to go see yoou
43 minutes of convenience treasure hunting. I love you, no para social 🙏
The flat noodles you had is not soba. It's udon, in a style called himokawa, which is from a certain region in Japan.

What you describe as egg salad we would call egg mayonnaise in the UK. Egg salad here would be hard boiled eggs with lettuce, tomato, cucumber etc
hes in japan. not in the UK
