Fun fact: Tobias came up with the riff in the beginning when he was at local playground swinging his kids. He sang it into his phone to save it and continued playing with his kids.

I wouldn't call Ghost a parody band in any way, personally. Tobias pays homage to his influences and inspirations, true, and he does use the idea of Satan to provide a critique of organized religion (this song is literally the church telling followers that only through it may they be saved and have community, but neither would rise to parody in my mind. Apologies if I misunderstood what you meant. I dig your reaction and commentary, please keep digging into Ghost.

To make things VERY short, one of the main ideas of the band's lore is that they are controlled by a powerful group called the cleregy, which wants them to spread of the word of the devil through music. If you want to listen to songs that really follow that format, I recommend year zero or anything from their first album. (Opus Eponymous) Tobias is a huge fan of things from the 70s and 80s, which is why he has a lot of references to classic movies and shows from back then with his stories and music videos. If you want to learn the band's lore, you can watch the chapters. However, it can still be confusing to many fans so there are also fan made videos explaining the lore in an easier way to understand.

'Parody' might be applicable some of the time, but I'd say the broader term 'satire' is the more one.
They're not just goofs on stage, although they don't shy from comedy in live performances or on video or in the lyrics themselves. But they can also deliver some straight shots with total sincerity.
To my knowledge, Tobias isn't actually a satanist and seems to have some sense of spirituality, but holds contempt for how organized religion is led by very corrupt people. They'll use their imagery to act as a 'mirror' of some of the so-called leaders, showing what they're really about.
So this video does have some goofs and gags and is a bit of fun, but also within the song itself is some pointed criticism at some 'religious values' that is more serious than the vid lets on.

You're absolutely right about the guitar solo thing, 9 out of 10 guitar solos are totally pointless, and don't add anything to the song.
