Loved watching you enjoy this - really good reaction, thank you! Subbed to see more... As this is the last track on the album, and it opened on a brass collaboration with 'brasstacks', it brings the whole album experience to a close nicely to finish with that trumpet riff. Nice touch.
The album starts with this trumpet on a song called Genesis, and the album ends with Ego Death and… this trumpet. And yes, Clay Aeshlicman is former drumline.
“Clay is phenomenal… such an amazing player.” I’m guessing you don’t know the bassist and drummer are both named Clay? Clay Gober on bass and Clay Aeschliman on drums. 🙂
If you enjoyed this then check out Animals as Leaders (suggest you don’t do Cato first, great track but not as an introduction) which has two guitars and drums but no bass or try The Omnific which is two bassists and a drummer but no guitars.
If you like this collaboration with Polyphia and Steve Vai Tim Henson has also done some other collaborations if you’re interested definitely worth checking out the one he did with Marcine and then the one he did with Ichika Nito
I got chills when you first mentioned hearing the trumpet - I knew how it ended, lol

The trumpet is actually my favourite part of the song :D
same here its such a great little touch
There is another feature on this song. Brasstracks, you might like what they do :)
Great reation! The thing that makes this my favorite Polyphia song is definitely their use of space.

😂 I didn't know that. At least I was correct in saying Clay is amazing! Appreciate the info!
Right, what you were saying could apply to either one of them so it really didn’t matter. 😂

Also their song that Jason Richardson featured on from one of their albums
