I'm 54 years old. I have been a metalhead for as long as I can remember. I can honestly say that I look forward to the day when everything presented in this video is accurate to real life. I love the idea of a group of us senior citizens forming a mosh pit in some retirement center somewhere.
I was looking up some musician's ages last night coincidentally. Ozzy is 75. Dave Mustaine is 65, same age as my Dad who confiscated my metal cds as when I was a teenager. We're about a decade away from the age of metal grandpas.
Glad for all the comments mentioning this is from 2012 because I was confused about how I’m certain I’ve heard this song despite not being familiar with the band!
I’m so glad we have bands like Revocation and Archspire that don’t care so much about the typical "metal" image and would rather just have fun and be goofballs. We need more of that honestly.
Back in the 80's when image was everything, my friends said they didn't like Anthrax because they were too goofy and didn't look "metal" enough. That's always been one of the things I liked most about them besides the incredible rhythm section of Frank, Scott, and Charlie. They all seemed like a bunch of fun loving, regular guys that you could hang out with.
I know this video came out years ago, like, a decade ago, but I think it was taken down a long time ago for some reason, so it's good to see it back in an official capacity. Great band, great EP, great track.
I will never forget how hard this whole EP hit me as a kid, definitely was a major influence on my playing still got my Scion A/V copy lying around somewhere.
Out of all the amazingness that is this entire video, that shot of Double Dave gettin' in PeePaw's grill at 4:15 is my absolute favorite. It never fails to get me laughing, even all these years later 🤣🤣

The starter arpeggio from the "tabletop" solo shows tapping on the descend and also in the tabs, but it sounds very close to the sound if it was just swept back down. Interesting solo, and in a really nice tuning of drop Eb. Super fun

Early stuff is death/thrash until a little after this EP in 2012. Then they slowly go to darker more death metal. All equally great. I'd start from their debut in 2008.
The best stuff they ever created were the first 3 albums. Newer stuff is kinda mid tbh. And I used to love going to the local shows before they got signed and jacked the price up 10x. Now if they ever come "home" to tour its like 1 show. Besides Boston basically turned on the metal scene with the cops and transplant college kids.
