    I’ve noticed that many channels rely on rage bait to draw in viewers-thumbnails filled with angry faces and titles like 'ATHEIST DESTROYS MUSLIM' or 'CHRISTIAN OBLITERATES ATHEIST.' Even as I watch this, I'm scrolling through the recommended videos (mostly videos from other channels) and the thumbnails are full of rage bait. But what I love about The Existence Project is that it’s setting a new standard. Instead of playing into hostility, they're fostering a respectful exchange of ideas. It’s refreshing to see debates that focus on understanding, not tearing others down. Keep up the great work! I hope to see another season soon, Insha'Allah!

      Fully with you on that. I noticed even those who started off respectful and level headed have started relying on these sensationalist thumbnails (like it's some kind of sparring match). Everyone's vying attention, but not in the best way. Very off putting.

      I’m so incredibly sorry to hear of your loss. I’m reminded of a Hadith which says that if a Muslim is afflicted with any hurt, even if it is no more than the pricking of a thorn, but Allah wipes off his sins because of it and his sins fall away from him as leaves fall from a tree. I can only imagine the paradise Allah has built you and your wife for the strength you showed and grief you endured 🤲 May He protect you both always.

It was through the challenges I faced in my life that I learned about God’s grace and mercy, feeling a strength within me I never knew existed. For instance, one person who is not aware of why racks are being administered a chemical that is causing them in some cases to die. Who is aware that those rats are being tested so that human children can survive that wonton and useless suffering. We see that there is a deliberate purposefulness to each and every aspect of the universe. Can we call those things about which we do not have phone knowledge pointless?

    Without an encounter with pain and suffering, joy and happiness would lose all meaning. If a mother only thinks of the immense amount of pain she would experience during childbirth, she won't go that way! It's the joy of the reward in the form of her baby that pulls her through this ordeal!
    Pain is an integral part of one's evolution and survival.
    Very well presented!
    People just can't get their heads around pain and suffering and they think if God is ever merciful and all powerful why can't he just erase the pain and suffering, they can't seem to understand the whole picture. Although in my teens, I had the same questions but it all makes sense now!

    When it comes to the human body, pain acts as our internal alarm, signaling that something needs attention. It’s how we recognize that something might be wrong and requires care. Great example that reinforces the vital role that pain plays in our lives. As you’ve alluded to, individuals with CIP experience unique challenges because - without being able to detect pain - they can injur themselves unknowingly. Hence, pain is actually a critical tool.

      since Satan is to you a literal living being then رسول الله ‎(ﷺ) said that Satan runs through our veins. Has anyone cut open their veins and found Satan? Not at all. If you read the Holy Quran properly, you will see many different metaphoric uses for Satan

      It is a metaphor, in the sense that it's not literally a man going around making people do stuff, it's just whispers in one's mind enticing evil, which we must fight

    In programming AI, the most efficient models give points to the AI for the right answers and subtract points if it made a wrong decision.
    In these lenses we can judge that coding intelligence into things will require motivation, the AI doesn’t want to lose points since it get rewarded for the maximum amount of points it collects through a trial, so we can judge that taking points from AI is “painful” and adding points to AI is “pleasurable” in a sense.
    This system is much more simplistic than the human pain and pleasure system, but it puts into prospective that the best and most efficient way even for humans to code intelligence is to use a simplified system of pain and pleasure.
    Jesse is a smart guy, and since he is a CS major he would realise that eventually hopefully.

      Yes. I am a revert and partially because of watching a tonn of "Teaching AI to ..." just for fun, which brought me to compare our world to it. It is a perfect example to show to people who position themselves as a "man of science" and denying even talking about God. But the truth is that science and religion aren't from different worlds. Science just answers "how?" while religion answers "why?".

    6:02 That's why I find the people who say that purpose of life is to have fun or do what you want is deeply problematic!! That's what paradise is for , this life is clearly not paradise, you cannot have things your way in this life, you have to surrender and follow the rules ....
    I always find it ironic how we look for aliens and wonder about them ...when in reality we are the aliens , we are the odd ones in this life ....our souls, our minds, our consciousness, we're not like other creatures..... we long for perfection,for complete bliss, for ultimate justice ...and we hate pain and evil.... which is so unlike the world we live in ... our world is not perfect, it's not fair and it has lot of pain and suffering... so why are we fighting these things? We don't see cats struggling like we do ! They're fine with their lives, every creature around us is fine with what they have ... but we aren't, we long for something more , we feel we don't belong here...
    if we just look into ourselves, our minds..we can se that we are bigger then what this world has to offer, we don't belong here , we came from somewhere bigger then this ... we came from another realm , and we shall return there, this life is only a temporary passage, a test for our eternal souls ...

    Why did God create pain? Pain is undoubtedly important, but why use it as a path to total happiness? Imagine if there was only one color, like blue-representing happiness. If you were surrounded by blue your entire life, how would you truly appreciate its beauty? Without anything to compare it to, you wouldn’t know its value. In the same way, bliss without pain loses its meaning. Pain provides the contrast needed to fully experience and understand joy. Just as contrasting colors highlight the essence of blue, pain highlights the true depth and significance of happiness. I like your explanation and nature

    When you choose to do something that brings pain you are simply doing it because you think it will bring a higher amount of pleasure than not doing it, example: if you workout it will be painful but the joy of being healthier and the feeling of accomplishment from working out outweighs that pain

    I kinda get what he's asking with they system thing, basically "why not create a paradise from the start? if the current system is that you experience pleasure from the existence of pain, why not create the way that we always feel pleasure regardless of you experience pain or not?" well being not too knowledgable in my own religion, i'd say aside that life on earth is a trial, the "BUT WHY!?" is that God knows what we don't know and that God wants us to learn and gain knowledge as much as possible

    The argument that why God creates pain in the first place is extremely weak.
    The reason is that the same people who make this argument, also argue that eternal pleasure in Paradise is extremely boring and painful. They claim that there is no way they would want to go to Paradise as eternal pleasure is just torture.
    So these Atheists won't be happy with whatever system you show them, neither would they propose a better system. It's a waste of time and never ending cycle

      He is not human. He is a being from another race. In Islam we believe in humans, angels, and devils/jinn. They are all beings with souls and they will be judged in the afterlife, but they are created from different substances. Humans from clay, angels from light and the devils/ jinn from fire.

      I also posted my concern about him talking about darwinian evolution and i will copy paste my comment here so u don't have to search for it.
      @rohaam_k1558 i guess i have to provide the timestamps.
      1:41 he says: "we have evolved, only in the way of consciousness. That's the only way we're superior to other animals" so he sees human being as "other animals" and he thinks that consciousness evolved in us and was not given from the beginning.
      12:34 he says: "the devil is not a person in islam", which im not sure whether he means shaitan does not exist or what exactly but that's not my main issue anyways, maybe he means something else.
      So i hope he didn't mean that in the sense of darwinian evolution but i have to say what i saw ofc.

    The Islamic answer for the existence of suffering is that this life is a test, and suffering such as a disease is part of the test. Suffering can be a means of purifying a soul.

    • @SA-mn1ux
      @SA-mn1ux 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      To confine the answer of suffering to one point is diametrically opposed to the Holy Quran itself, which states many different arguments. These points are relevant to those who believe in God, but a person who does not believe in God does not believe that there is an intelligent force testing us at all so you cannot use that argument until you philosophically demonstrate that suffering please a important role in the grand scheme of things.

    • @mohdfirdausaminddin3919
      @mohdfirdausaminddin3919 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SA-mn1uxthe question in general is "if god exist, why is there pain and suffering". The existence of God is already assumed to be true within the question. Therefore the answer still holds.
      On the other hand, if one doesn't believe in God, they have no explanation on why something should or shouldn't exist anyway. So questioning something's existence in term of "why" is nonsense.
