Mashaallah brother, i always had this thing in my heart that this topic isnt taught out very clearly, alone the word “slavery” isnt right, cause one means prisoners of war and the other is a free man, alot of muslims even the thulaabul ilm dnt know abt this topic, and they kinda have problems when asked abt this, Please talk about this topic regularly cause alot of islamaphobes lie and its really hard to watch, when they compare the slavery in america and the islamic prisoners of war.

well it's actually funny how the question itself words it
slavery has been existed whether muhammad (peace be upon him) exist or no
there is only one way for someone to become a slave, through war
and many-many ways for a slave to be free in islam. it's even a punishment for muslims in many violations, like if you break ramadhan fast you must free a slave (if you are abke to), or if a muslim killed someone wrongly (he had no intention to kill) then he must free a slave, or when a muslim dzihar their wife then he must free a slave
and even freeing a slave itslef is counted as a good deed, you don't have to violate anything

Be careful with your statement, as it suggests that slavery is banned/abrogated/abolished now.
Sheikh Salih Al Fawzan حفظه الله was asked about this:
      Questioner:
“O respected Shaikh, one of the contemporary writers is of the view that this religion, at its
inception, was compelled to accept the institution of slavery of the days of ignorance.”
Shaikh Salih al-Fawzaan: “I seek refuge in Allaah”
      Questioner:
[Completing his question] “However, he has come from the angle that the doors to the various
expiations and other matters which involve the liberation of slaves should be opened (i.e. that these affairs
should be encouraged) gradually, until slavery finally ends. And following on from this, that the intent of the
Legislator is to gradually end this institution of slavery. So what is your view on this?”
      Shaikh Salih al-Fawzaan:
“These are words of falsehood (baatil) - and refuge is from Allaah - despite the fact
that many of the writers and thinkers - and we do not say scholars - repeat these words. Rather we say that
they are thinkers (mufakkireen), just as they call them. And it is unfortunate, that they also call them
‘Du’at’ (callers). And this (type of statement) is found in the tafsir of Sayyid Qutb in Dhilaal ul-Qura’aan.
He says, “Islaam does not affirm slavery, but it only allowed it to remain out of fear that the people may turn to
despotism, that they may disapprove of it’s abolition since they had been accustomed to it. Hence Islaam has
allowed it to continue out of courtesy to the people” Meaning, as if Allaah was being courteous to the people,
and then he alluded to its gradual removal until it is completely finished.
These words are falsehood and (constitute) deviation (ilhaad) - and refuge is from Allaah.
This is deviation and a false accusation against Islaam.
And if it had not been for the excuse of ignorance [because] we excuse
them on account of (their) ignorance, so we do not say that they are Unbelievers because they are ignorant and are blind followers who have merely quoted this saying without reflecting upon it, hence we excuse them on
      account of ignorance.
Otherwise, these statements are very dangerous and if a person said them deliberately he would become apostate and leave Islaam. However, we say that they are ignorant people because they are but literary writers who have not learnt the knowledge. So they found this statement and rejoiced on account
of it and then refuted the Unbelievers by it.
Since the Unbelievers say that Islaam empowers some people (over
others) and that it enslaves the people and that it… and that it… So they intended to refute them with this ignorance. And when the ignoramus refutes the enemy then he only increases the enemy in evil and hence the
enemy holds more tightly to his falsehood.
Refutation occurs by way of knowledge. It does no occur by way of
sentiments or by ignorance. Rather it occurs by knowledge and evidence. Otherwise, it is obligatory for a person to remain quiet and not to speak in dangerous matters about which he has no knowledge.
So these words are falsehood and whoever says them deliberately then he is an Unbeliever. As for the one who says them out of ignorance or due to blind following (of others), then he is to be excused due to his ignorance.
And ignorance is a killing catastrophe - and refuge is from Allaah. Islaam has affirmed slavery and slavery is ancient and existed prior to Islaam and was present in the revealed religions prior to it.
And it will continue so long as Jihaad in the path of Allaah exists.”
Source: Cassette Recording dated 4/8/1416 and subsequently verified by the Shaikh himself with a few minor
      alterations to the wording.

What Islam really should’ve done was ban the practice of slavery the same way it banned many other things that were prevalent at the time. Saying it promoted freeing slaves doesn’t matter. It didn’t condemn slavery, didn’t deter people from practicing it, and even allowed women from conquered armies to be taken as sex slaves

What you're reffering to brother, is what happened after the battle of Badr, when the muslims held captive quraishis, then the prophet peace and blessings be upon him asked his companions what should they do with them. Umar ibn al Khattab may Allah be pleased with him suggested to execute them, with sahabas executing captives from their original tribes in quraish. Abu bakr may Allah be pleased with him, suggested to have 10 of these people teach valuable things to the muslims like for example blacksmithing or other valuable crafts, and then have the people of quraish come pay a certain price to free them (not 100% sure about this last part, Allah knows best). @@tedrosm2492 you have still not got it brother there is a lot of difference between slavery and milk e amin . To understand the topic see it from the perspective of 1400 yrs ago not by today's scenario things were different in Arab peninsula 1400 yrs ago . Now coming back to the topic milk a ayin are the people who are taken by the winning side its just like taking a person into custody if he tries to travel a country without visa . But in both scenarios are different . You have to feed milk e amin from the same food that u have be nice with them u are not allowed to beat them and for every sin which you did it is commanded to release that person . Also allah commanded that it is better to let them go free at last with giving them money . Now just tell me are slaves treated like this? If not them how can u call them slave they are milk a amin right hand confession that's it . These steps were taken as back then there was no jail like today. And for your information let me tell you hazrat Bilal who was 1 of the companions of prophet S.A.W was a slave and prophet after seeing him treated badly bought him and then allowed him to go free but he decided to be with the prophet and serve him

Accidentally killing a brother/sister: freeing slaves, the most pious is the one who: frees slaves, repudiate your wife (even if you later recant): free a slave as atonement. When a solar eclipse appear? Free slaves. And lunar eclipse?: Free slaves also, and more...

Slavery in Islam is an indentured servitude under a just social contract that gives you more rights and freedoms than an average non-white person gets in USA (or any western country) in 21 century. And the only way to obtain slaves in Islam is to capture prisoners of war.
There is no slavery in the western sense of a word in Islam. Being a slave in Islam is better than being a free non-white person in 21 century Western countries. Islam gradually abolished barbaric version of slavery (like western, christian type of slavery) and replaced it with Islamic version of slavery.
*Slavery in Islam is a noble and benevolent institution which goal is to take care of people, eliminate poverty, educate people and bring them to Islam. And it has absolutely nothing to do with how slavery was practiced in the West.*
Islamic slavery and Western slavery are as different as democracy in North Korea and democracy in Ancient Greece. Both claim to be democratic but we know that they are very different types of democracy. You can use a knife to murder and you can use a knife to make food. Just because someone (West, white people, christians) used a knife (slavery) for murder doesn’t mean that we should view having knives as something bad and ban knives altogether.
Being a slave in Islam was always seen as a prestigious position of power and influence. And this is why slaves in Islam created and governed many great empires such as the Ghaznavid Empire, Khwarazmian Empire, Delhi Sultanate, Mamluk Sultanate, etc.
❗️ Few facts about achievements of slaves in Islam :
Slave-governed Mamluk Sultanate crushed Mongol Empire at the peak of their power (13 century) and singlehandedly ended Christian Crusades by wiping out remaining Crusader states and obliterating their armies so bad that they never recovered.
Slaves in Islam also directly controlled and governed for 2 centuries the greatest superpower of it’s time - Ottoman Empire, a period which is known as Sultanate of women (referring to slave concubines). And since 17 to early 19 century same Ottoman Empire was ruled by Jannisaries (slave soldiers) who had so much power that they murdered an actual Sultan (and not only one) when he became outraged at becoming "subject to his own slaves" and tried to disband the Janissaries (slave soldiers).
Slaves in Islam achieve more than Western non-white free people could ever dream of achieving in the West.

I disagree with a few assumptions you made but yes you’re right, it’s not the slavery as the known in the west. It’s also practical and just.
Now where you’re wrong. The purpose is not to educate people people and stuff. The purpose is to reward those who were willing to lay their lives. these people are still owned, despite the rights islam give them. They are to be used according.

@@ElyasQuick1 you have no evidence for that. The hadith doesn’t say that’s the reason. If that was the reason, it would have obligated it instead of encouraging it.
The purpose of the slavery is similar to that of paying the jizyah. It’s to honor/reward the Muslims and humiliate the kuffaar. The good effects that come from that isn’t necessarily the reason.

Even though the question was about slavery, it was more focused towards how female captives of war can be treated by Muslim men in Islam. Can Muslim men have intercourse with Milk Al Yamin (Jewish or Christian female captives) without their consent and/or marriage contract? I think this was the question being asked by Br. It is not zina because Allah allowed it. So, at that time, most men did not have money to get married, and most people were poor. You know it is hard for adult men to live alone without a wife, and some wars can take a lot of time, like months. So, Allah gives permission to engage the Milkul Yamin, it does not need consent, but it comes with conditions. And the conditions are mostly similar to the rights of the wife.
Married men can also take Milkul Yamin as their partner, but still, all the conditions apply.

zina is intercouse outside of marriage and a man's female milkelyamin
suppose you lend someone your phone and he refuses to give it back do you need his consent to take it obviously no even if you use force because it is your right the same if its a husband's right to have intimacy with his wife or female milkyamin even if she refuses he can take it without her consent even with force(while it isn't recommended because the best of muslims are the best to thier wives the best of muslims are the most gentle and most merciful (ألطف) to their spouses) unless she has an excuse (examples munstrating or harm if that is done or she is fasting ramadan)
the same way if a man refuses to give provision to his wife she can take in secret what is is enough for her and her children in costums even without his consent because it is her right

I have two questions in my head that always bother me, the first one is why the Prophet alayhi sholatu wassalam married 'Aisyah in pretty young age? For this one I have found the answer, it from Syaikh Uthman, he gave a clear answer and explanation that really hit me that I no longer need another answer. The second one is this question in this video and it has been in my head for a very long time. I have been searching for the answers and not very satisfied for what I found. And Alhamdulillah from this video, brother Ali gave the very clear answer and explanation that now I can understand. Alhamdulillah. I hope you gave more muslim brothers chance to ask you questions, because maybe they have some question about their religion that they did not found the answer yet.

@@insanityfreedom2953 Zina is having "unlawful" intercourse with someone. Now, who is the one who legislates "What is lawful or unlawful?"
Yes, you're correct. Allah, the Most Wise, is our Legislator.
Allah has made it permissible to have intercourse with your wives and/or right hand possessions. Hence, both of the above mentioned ways would not be classified as unlawful i.e, would not be considered Zina.

The "Sheikh" Uthman is a deviant, who is opposing the manhaj of the salaf and praising the innovators.
None of the salaf denied the age of Mother Aisha رضي الله عنها being 9.
She was 6 when she was married to Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم, and 9 when the marriage was consummated.
This is something confirmed by her ownself, and there are numerous authentic ahadith, that show us that she was definitely 9, like her playing with her dolls (towards the last years of Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم on Earth).
Those who interpret her age to be 19 or 18 have given into the pressure by the west, so they try to please the critics by making such interpretations, but eventually end up causing even more confusion and ruining the image of Muslims, making them look as "apologetics".
Wallahi, we don't need such interpretations, we have the Truth, we have the deen of Allah, and we stand by it.
Listen to Sheikh Salih Al Fawzan حفظه الله on the age of marriage, an actual scholar of Ahlus Sunnah. He clarifies it very clearly.
Allah سبحانه وتعالى says (interpretation of the meaning):
And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the ‘Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubt (about their periods), is three months; and for those who have no courses [(i.e. they are still immature) their ‘Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise, except in case of death]1. And for those who are pregnant (whether they are divorced or their husbands are dead), their ‘Iddah (prescribed period) is until they lay down their burden; and whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him.
      [Surah Talaq: Verse 4]
So, clearly Allah سبحانه وتعالى has mentioned the 'iddah period for those who have not menstruated, which shows that their marriage is valid. And none from the Salaf differed, they all unanimously agree.
Furthermore, we see that such marriages were common at the time of Sahabah.
      Summary:
Marriage with girls of such age is perfectly halal and legislated by Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. Stay away from the deviants, and stick to the manhaj of the salaf.
Listen to the scholars like Sheikh Salih Al Fawzan حفظه الله, Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله‎‎, Sheikh Al Albani رحمه الله‎‎, Sheikh Ibn Baz رحمه الله‎‎ etc.
May Allah سبحانه وتعالى guide us all. Ameen.

@@HATL201 He never denied the age mentioned in the authentic Hadith. Ig, you should watch his video first before writing such long paragraphs. And no, he's not a deviant. If you become so stringent in your judgement, then every other person could be potentially labelled as a "deviant". Go easy sometimes, and overlook the mistakes.

This is a video by Muhammed discussing why not to engage in these kind of discussion
That's why Muhammed always does not accept people bringing words that others said on their dawa channels or videos.
Please don't be the judge of whose right and wrong, Allah is the only one who decides.
