Seven Thai "Vowel Sounds" that change their form. These are "Vowel Sounds", not vowels.
The vowels are the standard 5 vowels used in English. That is A, E, I, O, U.
Pronounced ah, eh, ih, oh, ooh.
These five vowels are combined to form nine vowel sounds for a total of 14 vowel sounds.
    a ae ai ao au
    e eu eua er
    i ia
    o
    u ua
Now because each vowel sound can be either short or long, that makes a total of 28 vowel sounds.
By the way, "au" is long sound only, and the short version is "iao"
This technique will work for Native English speakers.

Hello Kru Waree, thank you for this wonderful video.
I noticed immediately when I started leaning to read and write that vowels seemed to be missing - the sounds were made when the word is read out loud but the spelling seems to be short of vowels. I find writing particularity difficult because of a combination of vowels that change form + consonants with same sound + ending consonant sound change + vowels with the same sound ... takes lots of practice to master
I asked a few people about a word that I noticed was spelt with a confusing combination of vowels (your third case) which was not one of the 32 on my chart. I was told that there was just one exception but I noticed more and more words with that change of form!
Now finally I have a good answer to my question and the mystery!
Is this a complete list of all the vowels form changes or are there still more?
    Keep up the good work!

    • @orlandowan5847
      @orlandowan5847 ปีที่แล้ว

Kru Waree, could you please help me diagnose this word properly, which is an example of those that seem to be missing consonants?:
seasoning powder = ผงปรุงรส which sounds like phong bpruung rot
Are there modified vowels forms in this word? I applied rule 5 twice (removing the vowel (sara โ-ะ) based on the sounds I hear.
So I would have written โผงะปรุงโรสะ to spell the word based on sound that I hear but it seems to translate badly.
I know that I should not add the vowel form back into the word because that is the accepted way it is spelled but can you confirm my logic or is there a completely different explanation?
Please help! This would be very valuable to my learning progress.
