Curious how that boonedox is holding up since I notice you didn’t use the backing plates. I literally have the same setup with the motor and battery on the back.
It’s holding up good I have the metal plate under just not the top plate but at first I tried another method that did not work as you saw in the video but it’s been holding up fine
I'm thinking about this same kayak but with the pedal drive... How is the Boondock mount holding up? I'll be using the Native Sidekick but I think it would be the same situation. Thanks, and nice review..
As long as you install all the parts right it will last long. I didn’t and had to redo it and it was worth it. Pedal drive is the way to go and thank you for watching. I truly appreciate it!
The support bar on the boonedox needs to be cut shorter. Also highly recommend backing plates above and under the kayak where u screw in the boonedox.
Thank you for the tip 🤙
Good job!
Nice personalized set-up. Good luck out there on the water.
Thank you 🙌

@@slanefishing so with the metal plate under how did you access the hull since there is barely any entry ways.
I have small hands so I took off the rod holder and held it there then put the rod holder back after
Enjoy fishing.......

How did you attach the newport trolling motor mount to the mounting plate?
Hoping to get an answer to this as well please
