Janine Jansen performs Anders Eliasson's Violin Concerto Einsame Fahrt with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, conducted by Daniel Blendulf.
The Dutch violinist Janine Jansen became acquainted with composer Anders Eliasson (1947-2013) towards the end of his life. One of the works that she wanted to play was the Violin Concerto, Einsame Fahrt (Solitary Journey), composed in 2010. It was not until 2015 it became a reality. This video features Janine Jansen in Einsame Fahrt, a melancholy singing but also intensely powerful music. The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra plays under the leadership of Daniel Blendulf.
