    The Aussie is correct. The torque for the oil filter is 25 Newton Meters which converts to 18.4 foot pounds.

      You are correct. I just did another oil change and looked. And there it was, right on the oil filter cap.

    I'm going to do a friend's 2015 Chevy Traxx (1.4) and for the life of me, I can not find out what the drain bolt uses for a washer! The internet is vague and ust plain messes with me. Does it use a rubber one like my Ford EcoSport, or a crush washer like a copper or aluminum?

      @@Shadows-RC rubber. You can reuse a few times.

      @canamsledder Thanks. I dug and dug and finally found out. Got a 5 pack of OEM equivalent for cheaper than a Dorman. Exact fit, style, length and 10mm bolt. Should last the rest of that vehicle's life. Or most of it. It gets one change a year for a 72 year old who drives only around 1,500 miles a year. Super Tech 5W-30 dexos 20,000 mile formula synthetic with Mobil 1 oil filter.

    I have a 2019 Trax bought it used and someone stripped the oil plug which caused Chevy to decline an oil change. What would you suggest?

      I'd ether replace the oil pan or have someone install a heli-coil. The South Main Auto channel here on you tube has a good video on how to install a heli-coil in an oil pan.

      Same thing happened to me. I had to use vise grips, with a lot of elbow grease and cussing and swearing, to get it out. Had to buy a new drain plug from dealer.

    Newton-Meters, not nanometers, great video!

    • @canamsledder
      @canamsledder  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you are correct. Where did I get nanometers from??

      @@canamsledder metric is a foreign language here haha!
      If Han Solo can make the Kessel run in 12 "parsecs" then we can tighten our bolts in nanometers lol

    My oil filter came with 2 orange, a large one and a small 1. Where does the small one go?

    • @canamsledder

      I don't know. Maybe the filter fits more then one model?
