Portable Guy (who you bought from) is in NYC, and sells grey market cameras. They are new - and usually you don't have issues (he has great feedback). BUT, if you do have an issue down the line, Canon will not touch the camera - no matter how much money you try to throw at them.
I recently bought a Mitutoyo micrometer with calibration usedlikenew for 50% off. I was totally thinking someone probably bought the uncalibrated version, switched and returned the expensive one. But nope, the calibration docs came with it and they matched up to the serial #. You're possibly just buying something that one of those try-before-you-buy type of customers with poopfingers got ahold of.
Interesting video, I'm just installing a new motherboard that I bought "like new" it's definitely been used because there no protective wrap on the thermal pad for the m.2 heat spreader, not sure what else is wrong or different, if anything. hope it works lol
honestly, to me..... If it came in the kit box then it looks like the lens was taken out to resell and the body could be brand new. Either way... Kit lenses are usually not that great, don't get me wrong, great starter lens! It's only a box. lol

that the like new one's bag is not as see through could be because of fog.

Yes, I'm pretty sure amything you buy "used - like new" on Amazon can be returned for free just like you can return anything else on Amazon.

The one from Amazon might be a gray market camera.
Gray market is no different. It just means no warranty.
