Black Canyon. If you drive down to the bottom of the canyon it's like entering nother world. The Canyon is so beautiful but that river at the bottom is just amazing.
I've been to a couple of these places in my travels but one place I will never forget is hanging lake. When you first see the lake it literally takes your breath away. Its just incredible
Ive hiked up to Hanging Lake a couple of times and was just blown awake by the beauty of it. I have a real problem with altitude when I’m out there, coming from 300 ft above sea level, so I have to rest frequently to catch my breath. I visit the area often but have never adjusted to altitude.
I lived in Alaska most all my adult life, thirty five years. When I retired and couldn’t take the extreme colds anymore, I moved to beautiful Colorado. The people are good here too. Like in Alaska. I just knew I couldn’t go back to Indiana. Lol. ❤️ Colorado.
Thankyou collegue. 👍Your honesty is so inspiring. My daughter and her husband are just now entering the city of coloraado to live.♥️♥️ I'm manore, (mum). Your comments are so genuine 👍
I am moving to Colorado Springs at the end of the month and I can't wait! I've never been there before. But seeing videos like this let's me know God is real and he's in Colorado. I can't wait!
@@nickrowell2651 coming from northern Virginia, pretty rough place to live, Colorado Springs seemed to us like an oasis of welcoming people, I guess it all comes down to your perspective.
@@nickrowell2651 I heard that before I moved here to the Springs from southern California but that hasn't been my experience at all. I've been here for 15 months now and the people have been very welcoming and very friendly. I love it here.
My favorite place is home to 5 generations of my family...Salida, Colorado. You have the natural hot springs, surrounded by 14ers, and the most scenic views you will ever see. You are just a short way from St. Elmo, an old ghost town from the mining days. Chalk Cliffs has natural hot springs as well.
I grew up in the metro area. I remember when Highlands Ranch was a farmers field; Chatfield Rsvr didn't exist; I-225 stopped at Mississippi and everything was field from Chambers Rd east and Alameda south in Aurora. That was merely back in the late 60's to early 70's too. The metro area has grown so much since then.
Never been to Colorado but it is a beautiful beautiful place! The alpine lakes and mountains are what my dreams are made of, especially if I had a fishing rod in my hand and a glowing campfire ready for fresh trout.
Great Sand Dunes is amazing. Some others not mentioned are Rocky Mountain National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Telluride, Ouray, the drive between Leadville and Aspen, and of course the MILLION DOLLAR HIGHWAY between Silverton and Ouray. But then again most of Colorado is amazing.
I've been only once, to Bushnell Lakes above Coaldale CO. My grandparents live in Coaldale and I made the long hike when I was about 18 years old. It was amazing. Most calm, awesome, but scary trip of my life. I live in South Dakota now and I really miss those mountains beyond anything else. When I see them in your videos I feel like I'm home again for just a moment.
The hike up to hanging lake is well worth it. This is coming from someone who lives in Florida who isn't used to the altitude in Glenwood canyon. It'll definitely leave you winded coming from sea level.
When I went to Vail this past Winter we stopped by Colorado Springs and went to the "Seven Falls". That place was pretty cool too. Aspen is nice as well
The road through the national monument in Grand Junction to fruita lake is spectacular. Been up there many times. Glenwood canyon used to be a beautiful drive before they put the new highway in. One of my favorites was the drive through Indian hills , but I think Grand mesa is equally as pretty.
I definitely recommend Estes Park. Going through there are a lot of lakes like Emerald Lake , Dream Lake and Lake Haiyaha. Really beautiful places. And it’s not only the lakes that make it worth the hike it’s very beautiful all through the trails !
I thought the music itself completely ruined the video. Had to turn it off within a minute of viewing.....horrible choice of music. It makes or breaks a video.
Up around milner pass in rocky mountain national park is gorgeous. The elk wander around the top of the mountains at night, the moon looks huuuuuge, and everything is just awesome.
Black Canyon of the Gunnison river, the San Juan mountains, Blue Lakes nestled below Mt. Sneffles, the Grand Mesa. I could go on and on about the beautiful places in Colorado, because I was born here, grew up here, hiked, and biked here in Colorado.
Yeah, it is endless. I didn't put those in this video, put I put them in other videos, like my best lakes, canyons, waterfalls, and the San Juans has its own video
Hanging lake and the great sand dunes are amazing i live in colorado and me and my family go on hikes and trips alot hanging lake is a fun hike about 1 mile but fairly hard amd steep but so woth and and theres a friendly chipmunk who greets you and i went to the great sand dunes on a school trip to mesa verde and all i can say is if its hot wear good shoes ur feet will burn but if its cloudy its perfect 👌
Hanging lake is gorgeous. I've hiked up there a few times. We were allowed to swim around in it about 20 years ago - it is freezing cold - but I doubt they still allow it.
@@coloradonativeguide I live in Castle Rock too but not specifically for that event. We moved here from metro for the small town feel. The event is held every year. It's similar to an Octoberfest in Aspen, party followed the star lighting ceremony. People from the metro north of us come to see it and have fun. Can be quite cold some years.
It’s a cute town outside Denver! I’ve hiked the rock where the star stands on, a lot and the view of the town is beautiful especially when you catch the sun set. You would usually pass this town when you drive down to Colorado Springs.
Canon city. Its pronounced Canyon. Lived in colorado most my life. Never got to see hanging lake. Escalante canyon. Love it there. And the drive up to gunnison.Wow! Grand Mesa!
