Newer OLED TV's have near perfect response times and transitions. Where are the performance metrics? This is the main thing that matters in a monitor review. Other reviewers point an issue with significant oversaturation of SRGB content, is this true ?
My comment cut and pasted from another video: I just got this monitor and it was a lot less saturated than i was expecting. The colors I've seen for most-all things are very close to realistic and I've never had a desire to desaturate it. If anything, i find it lacking on options to saturate it to a greater degree as well since it seems color temp changes hue as well. I've raised saturation in nvidia by about 20% and increased contrast there as well. I would say if you're worried about blown out colors, there's no reason to be.
If you have an AMD video card you can clamp it to 100% sRGB in the video card settings. "If you have an AMD graphics card, you can enable ‘Custom Color’ and disable ‘Color Temperature Control’ in the Radeon settings to clamp the gamut to ~100% sRGB. NVIDIA drivers don’t offer this option."
@@sergeyivanovish85 he said this monitor has no gsync module, but it still supports gsync. The gsync module is a physical chip in some monitors that supposedly provides better gsync performance.
I've found one in new egg, but it doesn't have the -QD at the end, and its 399. so i assume it isn't the same, although the description says Quantum dot technology.... I'll just wait to see if one appears with the same msrp mentioned in the video and the QD at the end lol
Best looking monitor IMO. I really wanted one but the quality control on these are terrible. Don't feel like getting one with dead or stuck pixels but it's a gamble you take buying a monitor.

I have this monitor and I realised colours were sharp and vibrant. Brightness is high but I found the colours to be over saturated. Upgraded from my old sony 50hz tv. This monitor has great performance. Very smooth and no input lag

I hate when manufacturers claim it's a "zero bezel monitor!" just because the actual plastic bezel is ultra thin, yet there is still like 10+ millimeters of the screen on the sides and top that is unutilized so there is still a huge black bar around the sides and top! You can see it clearly around 6:22

@@charlesttfr out of the box it looks horrible to be completely honest. But after a few minutes of tweaking the OSD and using Nvidia control panel to change the colors, it looks perfect now. I probably still have mine a little on the saturated side but it looks great to my eyes. Overall awesome display.

How would you compare this to the Samsung Odyssey G7? I bought the G7 on a big sell and at first I was very happy with it but, sadly, I experienced the flickering issues and updated the firmware to fix it. While it fixed the flickering issue it also made the colors all dull and rather unenjoyable as compared with when I first used it. I tried changing it to cinema mode which did give me the colors I wanted but it also made whites, texts, and so on far too sharp. Like it is actually to the point I have to squint to read and write this comment. So now I am trying to find a monitor that gives me the same popping colors that the G7 had when I got it. I was originally thinking I should return the G7 and get the LG GN850 but the MSI one also seems to have a lot of popping colors. What are your thoughts?

Not a big difference other than the QD has wider color gamut. Personally, I think the non QD looks better (more natural) - but of course still needs calibration. Out of the box settings are still too over saturated.

I just got the Dell 2721DGF a week and a half ago and this one is making me reconsider my decision. They're nearly identical in performance but this monitor supposedly has 20 percent contrast and a higher color gamut over it for $50 more. Is it worth swapping over to this MSI panel or not? It's not out in the US yet either, so I only found out about it recently. Also your big cat looks just like mine hahaha

Not a big difference other than QD gives a more wider color gamut. Personally, I think the non QD version looks better, but both need calibration to look just right.
@@rpns.3403 This monitor actually has a wider color gamut than the Dell, it has fantastic color accuracy. However, with any wide gamut panel (pretty much all new panels these days), any application mastered in sRGB instead of wide gamut (P3/Adobe RGB/etc) will result in some oversaturation of colors. I think typically even with oversaturation wide gamut panels look more accurate than sRGB. It's up to you if it bothers you, if it does you should avoid both monitors and look for an sRGB gamut panel.

Hello, does the USB Type C also transmits the USB Type A input devices? For example, if I connect my mouse and keyboard to the USB A ports and connect my laptop to the USB Type C, will I be able to control the laptop with the input devices? @@semihgenc2616 That is not the monitor at fault, that's the NVIDIA drivers. I have the same issue with flickering on all of my screens.

QD means "Quantum Dot" which is the display technology. I'm not sure, but maybe the non QD is using "nano IPS" instead.

There's an update for it, an sRGB mode which clamps off the oversaturation.

Not a big difference other than QD gives a more wider color gamut. Personally, I think the non QD version looks better, but both need calibration to look just right.

This has about 20% better contrast but otherwise very similar panels.

@@rpns.3403 This monitor actually has a wider color gamut than the Dell, it has fantastic color accuracy. However, with any wide gamut panel (pretty much all new panels these days), any application mastered in sRGB instead of wide gamut (P3/Adobe RGB/etc) will result in some oversaturation of colors. I think typically even with oversaturation wide gamut panels look more accurate than sRGB. It's up to you if it bothers you, if it does you should avoid both monitors and look for an sRGB gamut panel.
Does it's colors better than example Samsung g50a the ips one or the Samsung is better still than this msi even it has quantum dot? Cause my friend said ips Samsung always better than ips of msi even with quantum dot .
Also does the msi support 21/9 in it's settings ? Pls respond to these 2 questions.

Is there a flickering problem while watching TH-cam and Netflix. I do not have a problem with 60 FPS videos, but I have shaking in videos other than that. I do not have this flickering problem in games.

Hello, does the USB Type C also transmits the USB Type A input devices? For example, if I connect my mouse and keyboard to the USB A ports and connect my laptop to the USB Type C, will I be able to control the laptop with the input devices? Will such a setup also transmit the video signal from the laptop to the screen?
