  • Join us as we sew the the Tamarack Jacket! We originally released the Tamarack Jacket back in 2016 and it has now been drafted in our 14-30 size range. We've also released a collar, hood & patch pockets add-on to help you create the quilted jacket of your dreams.
During this series we'll cover all aspects involved in creating your own Tamarack Jacket. From fabric selection, help with batting, to quilting best practices and assembly, we're covering everything!
We've got a quick lesson today, we're binding the lower edge of the jacket back and sewing up our side seams. After this we'll be ready to attach the collar, hood, or finish the neckline without them.
You can purchase the Tamarack Jacket pattern as well as the Collar, Hood & Patch Pockets Add-On on our website here: grainlinestudio.com/collectio...

I’m a quilter with no clothes-making knowledge, but I want to make a quilted jacket. This video series is wonderful! It is so thorough and easy to follow. Thank you!!!

Wonderful videos with lots of great tips. The only change I would have made is to leave the binding on the sleeve open until the sleeve seams were sewn then sew down the binding. This way the open seams doesn't show on the cuff.

I want to use piping rather than binding. Do you know of a video which will show this? Thanks.
