Glad it was helpful mate, yeah plenty of room inside it, doesn't feel claustrophobic at all. Bit of condensation in cool climates is the only issue I've had. Not a big deal for me.
I have the same set up and it is a good bit of kit and you will have set up time to a couple of minutes . Pro tip , lay a couple of big towels under the mattress in cold temps .
Great real time video. Lets you see all the wrinkles of getting the RS 1 "system" together. I've never noticed the rattle in the stretcher end poles so now I'm totally curious :/ The guy ropes help immensely to reduce the stretcher wobble. The first few times you roll over can be quite disconcerting for big blokes like us :) Getting over the "hump" of the stretcher side rail is much easier with a thicker mattress and sleeping bag in there. Sometimes I just lay there trying to work out an easier way to get up - - - - - remote control electric winch was my most inspired :) :) :)
Thx Rob, might have to look into using the guy ropes a bit more. You're not wrong that getting over the 'hump' of the stretcher side, especially after a bit of use get's challenging. Presetting the winch to an overhead branch with the winch ring..... :-) food for thought right there...
I'm sure with a little bit of use, the cot material will stretch some, and be easier to get set up. I really would like to get a set up like that. 👍 Thanks for the video.
Thx mate glad you enjoyed it. Apart from some condensation pretty happy with the first time camping in it. Will be a longer term review once I've used it a bit.
I am roughly your size from America, 5'10 480 American pounds, CAMPING nerd my whole life, how did you feel on the cot? Secure? I am bigger than you, would you suggest something different? Appreciate this video.
Hey mate, yeah definitely a little heavier than me. I'm 6' and about 410 American pounds. :-) When you're on it definitely secure, you definitely want to do up the extra stays at the end they make a difference. Also definitely want to stay away from sloping ground. I've tipped myself out on my arse once getting out on sloping ground. The frame on this one is strong and handles my weight fine, just those few provisos. If I was buying now I'd also look at the Darche XL1400 which has additional bars between the legs/uprights. Hope this feedback helps Steve!
this fellas gonna keel over at any moment for christ sakes
Haven't yet, thanks for caring though :-)
Thank you for the setup. I myself am a full size man. And always wondered if I would fit the rs1. Because I really like it. Again, thank you.

great display of how easy it is, even if it's the first-time setup.
Thanks mate.😎
Thanks Mate

Thanks for the info!
Are the towels for insulation, or condensation, or both?
Mate took a lot of balls to do the review in a closed space. Go Bruh !!
Thx Mate

I really like the awning door; but, I'm gonna stick with my KampRite tent cot. 4 minute set up time and works GREAT.
Yeah I need to do a follow up longer term review. Still love the RS1 but it has some definite compromises when it comes to condensation.
Thank you , i’m sure it’ll get a lot easier as time goes on, Great products
Thx Luca, packup was pretty easy! Looking forward to actually road testing it
