    Have one and love it, I have paired with my Darche Ridgedome, slight overhangs with the poles as an 1100mm w swag, but not enough to worry.

      I'm glad you like your stretcher, Matt. There aren't many swags that fit exactly but as you mention, a little overhang is perfectly manageable.

      Wish more Oz brands would export their camping/outdoor products to North America. I'd love to have this setup with an Adventure Camper trailer.

    With the sway bar braces on the legs, is the stretcher much more stable than others like the Darche XL100. I move around a lot at night and the shaking and swaying really annoy me.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I couldnt say for sure @In Pit Lane, its been a while since Ive been on one of these stretchers. The new Series II RS-1S stretcher is out now & I'll be reviewing that probably next week, so I'll be sure to move around alot and give it the wobble test!

      I think Oztent have focused on durability and stability with the RS-1S stretcher, Craig, hence the steel frame. It's not for everyone though, particularly the weight conscious campers. ~ Ben

    Would this swag work ok on a Darche XL100 stretcher? Cheers.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will fit on, Steve. Both the Rs-1s Stretcher from Oztent and Darche's XL100 stretcher are toughly the same size, the only thing you would be missing form the Darche stretcher is the little anchor straps on the corners. ~ Ben

    Because there is no skirt on the tent to pull down over the bed, water will build up on the bed if it rains

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, this could certainly happen. Quest Outdoors have actually made a stretcher with a mesh panel to overcome this, it currently isn't part of our range though - questoutdoors.com.au/product/crossbow-swag-stretcher/. ~ Ben

    • @SnowysOutdoors

      @Liam its a King Single, so only designed for one person. If you are after a stretcher for 2 people you'd need to specifically look at doubles.

    No good. When it rains the water runs down the side of the tent and on to the stretcher and pools between the stretcher and tent floor.

    super expensive, extra bulky, takes forever to setup, not even that roomy... I'm not sure why is this a good idea? I don't wanna be just negative here, I'm happy to hear what I'm missing :/ It does look like a cool concept but only if you've never seen any other setup! lol

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not my flavour either, Jonathon, as I'm a lightweight camper at heart.
      This is a popular setup though, both with the Oztent options here as well as other swags on stretchers.

      @@SnowysOutdoors I like the lightweight approach when I do multiday hiking, but it's nice to have some comfort when camping haha speaking of strenght, I saw the rv5 in the shop and was wondering: can you hang stuff off of them aluminium bars? I'm not sure how strong they are, like if you have a toddler running into them can they be bent? Thanks again

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JonathanAdami if your toddler hangs on them they will bend. You can hang some lightweight items like a lantern without any dramas though.
      All the parts are replaceable too, so if your toddler does happen to do your RV tent an injustice, you'll be able to fix it.
