Wait, what? Why is Joshua a teenage girl named Jennifer? What did Jennifer do that was so bad? This isn't the end, is it? The dad went crazy and became a serial killer of children, right? They're all in limbo or some sort of afterlife? That's where the pea song came from during their "sacrificial ritual". The monster dog they talked about that kidnapped children who didn't do their chores, Joshua's dad is who they're referring to, right? He's the one who wrote all those stories. Yet i still don't know what's going on with all the characters, why they were so cruel, why they kept "punishing" Jennifer while trying to make her remember what she did that was so bad and, most importantly, why do they keep calling her joshua!?!

from what I've gathered, the children were abused so they perpetuated the cycle

What's going on? I still don't get it.
From what I remember her parents died while traveling in a blimp with her but she luckily managed to survive, I can't remember if the man took her from the orphanage or he found her anyway his son had died and in his depression he mistook her for Joshua and dressed her like him but then Wendy came and set Jenifer free while also falling in love with Jennifer through letters they wrote together. While at the orphanage Jen became the princess or the prince but soon found brown who Wendy became jealous of so Wendy spread lies and made the other kids hate Jen but HSE had brown till I guess they hurt brown I'm not clear on that but when Jen was tired of it she slapped Wendy told them all off and threw the broch on the ground in Wendy's anger she took Joshua's father and trained him to become bad dog or whatever and he killed the kids even Wendy though I'm still not clear on if Jen fought bad dog as a child or ran away

Anjounet Leavell glad I could help but using wiki or Wikipedia is also a good way to get some of the things I may have messed up with I also think I used wiki to put some things to better understanding as well. Its funny that you replied because I'm watching two best friends play the game just for fun right now.

The house is oddly damaged at some places. It's like it was under attack by something. Some say the house looks like that because of neglect and being old but I don't think the house is wearing down. The damages are from collisions. Was Gregory's house attacked and invaded? I'm so confused. Maybe it's not a part of the story but the game developers ended up making the house looked like it was attacked rather than looking old and worn. Maybe it was a mistake?
