I'm currently going through this, I am 16weeks pregnant my NT scan result was 2.4mm, my OB recommended me to do the NIPT scan and I got my result last week and it was high risk for trisomy 21 and it's stressing me so bad I am crying every day.
I did MaterniT21 Plus Core+ESS My fetal fraction was 24% (is that high really good for accurate detection? - I’m a short person) at 12 1/2 weeks pregnant. Baby girl. Thank goodness negative result for all of those things. Had to have that test done because of increased nuchal translucency at 39 years old. I’m so relieved!
NIPT uses a similar technology to PGT-A and is also primarily looking for chromosome aneuploidies and sex chromosome differences. Some NIPT labs can detect genetic differences that are not identifiable on PGT-A. For me, because NIPT was covered by my insurance and the results of it may impact next steps for my pregnancy, would utilize it even if I did PGT-A as a secondary screen. But it's not for everyone!

Do you recommend doing NIPT if you did PGTa?
