I guess not many businesses are going to be on Google anymore. This video requirement is stupid and plagued with problems.
I'm trying to verify my profile and the ONLY option it gives me it the recorded video. I've done this twice, following all the requirements closely, and had NOTHING back for it. The page says "Google is processing the verification" for a few hours and then that just goes away and nothing more. No email to explain, no guidance about what's wrong. Nothing. Google fails massively in this department.

Same here. We submitted a video and didn't even get a confirmation that it was submitted and zero notice that it was rejected or any reasons why.
For me it just says video can't be uploaded......it's terrible

The new video verification for google business is a/the mandatory way to check, now, for new unlisted business. The process is different

Before starting google verification be sure to turn off your VPN if you have one. Update your phone location and IP to match business address. I made this mistake myself.

the instructions I saw weren't go outside the home and video your crossing street names and your house number and it doesn't matter still didn't work. said processing then fell off the face of the internet

I run a home based business as a General Contractor. I have a website, phone #, license, LLC, Tax ID etc but the only option I have to verify my business on Google is by Video. The requirements for the video, specifically, signage and equipment, are difficult to meet since our HOA won't allow signage or equipment. Can you help? I went to your website to find your email to contact you but there wasn't one. Tried contacting Google support to no avail. Can you help? Thank you.

I tried recording verification video 4 times. First time the recording screen was black. The next 3 tries the video stopped recording at 45 seconds. I tried sending the last one anyway. I have no idea if I get verified. This whole verification deal is very annoying. Like filming a street sign or inside my "store". I live in a rural area with no signs and I do not own a store. I run a company from my home.
your situation is same with me lol. Idk its been a month. I tried so many times, delete, do it over and over again. I have check the guideline tho for so many times. Now, I am curious whether can they suspend it because i use the same number to verify? Idk is my number consider a suspicious number? Now, it ask for video. What curious me is that why the video was blur and i cant even look the video again. How do I know whether my video is good enough? I am seriously mad with google.
Yeah me too. I just moved my business to a rural place. I've re-recorded and sent the video multiple times. There are NO signs anywhere near my property. Also I don't have business signage up because I'm not that kind of business. The most annoying thing is you get NO FEEDBACK AT ALL as to what you're doing wrong. Obviously it just gets fed through some dumb AI and no human ever looks at it.

@@ccm8382 remove your address from the profile and try to verify again. Then once it verifies you add back your address

I am not sure if this is out of date or what, but when I went to verify it went straight to video and gave me no other options. Unfortunately, I can not do the video because I do not have a storefront of any kind. I set up my company, in my service area, using a virtual office/mailbox (iPostal). I can and would prefer the postcard method, but how do I get to that option?

I have no cell service and they are not giving me other options than video. I try to record my street sign and drive back to my house that has WiFi and it won’t load. Customer service is useless and won’t help me.

@dickson unfortunately yes. The person I spoke with basically refused to help said the google video was the only option. They are not responding to my emails. I made a TH-cam video made it private so only people I share with can see and they have not responded and it’s been over a week now.

I've sent a video a couple times and nothing but radio silence. in fact the only option I ever get is to verify by video and I work from home so it's not east to get verified. I also cannot stand they auto link your Gmail account so my email is wrong I don't want to use my Gmail email from high-school.. lol.

They say you can edit your profile while you wait for your verification to go through, but that’s a lie! They don’t let you input the code if you edit your profile smh then I tried the other option of the video. Next day, it says I never made or submitted a video. Then I email their shitty support and I gave them every detail they asked even pictures and business ID number, they said they couldn’t confirm my affiliation with the business 😡

You should be able to take a video showing your workspace, business card, and maybe a utility bill or business license?
When I stop the video it won’t save just starts new video
If you're using Firefox, don't.
I had to open it through chrome. Didn't work until I did.
