I wish there were more coarse angling vids like this.... its all carp carp carp !!
As an irish angler, carp are not available to me, apart from a very few commercials.
Most of my fishing is on big (REALLY big 😂) deep waters.
This was an excellent vid, I've never tried using dead maggots & those yellow Swimstim
pellets look good, so I learned something today... thanks Mr. W.

Excellent video Rob. Do you ever get chance to fish at Saddington Reservoir, there used to be a fantastic head of bream back in the day.

hi rob, at 3:04 what hook was that with the 2 maggots on, it looked like a straight point and out turned eye and thats what i want, most hooks are curved point, but i need it with a eye not spade end for hair rig

      A series 18 - sadly it’s a spade hook so can’t help I’m afraid

Hi rob, this my local water I live 5 minutes away would your approach still work as it's all method feeder dominated now with boilies and wafters.

    • @RobWootton
      @RobWootton  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah it will still work on the deep lake especially when it’s cooler and the fish sit a bit higher in the water. I think the shallow side is deffo all out method feeder.

Hi Rob! What kind of feeder do you use to pre bait at range? Do the nisa rocket do the job past 60m (i assume the large one are big enought). Because i like the guru one they are really big but i struggle hitting the clip past 50m.
Last question, this week end i fished 60m with a gale force wind with this rig but it broke twice just before the stotz shot where the pressure is when i cast. Have you experencied the issue or maybe it is my casting technique?
    Thanks a lot mate !!

The gurus are great when you want loads of bait but you need a proper rod to chuck them a long way. I like the biggest Nisa rocket as it casts well on standard gear. I’ve not had a problem with the line snapping on the cast but I use a strong shock leader ... at least 12lb

hi, would it be a good bait of bread(hairn rig) with goo for bream?
    PS: Excuse my English.

      hank mosh
Bread flake may work, as long as it isn’t very deep as the bread may pull off on the way down.
Also make sure that the venue isn’t heavily fished with fishmeal based baits

Great vi's as always Rob, where do you park? At the midland railway car park or the Riverside garage? I keep meaning to go n have a chuck there 👍

A bit called the garages - best bet is to give mill tackle a call and they’ll put you right

Bag them tight and chill them in the freezer
