I've been crocheting for around 2 weeks now, did 6 smaller projects and now I decided to try this and honestly, that's the best tutorial that I've seen. everything is so clearly explained and not too speed. thank u very much for sharing!!
In case you guys wanna make the 6 day blanket this pattern works for it. You just gotta add 5 more dc on the firsy round for every star point you want. I did about 25 and got 6 pointed star.
This is the one and only tutorial that allowed me to get the kind of star I wanted. I love the way you showed all of the repeating parts, it helped me build my confidence with knowing what came next until I could do it on my own. Thank you so much for this video !!
This tutorial is incredible! I haven't picked up a crochet hook since I was maybe 7 years old, and I was able to follow this with no problem! Fantastic
Thank you for this tutorial. I really appreciate it. I made a mistake here and there on my blanket in the beginning but I love my blanket following your steps❤
Amazing tutorial! That foundation double crochet stumped me but after replaying it a few times I got the hang of it haha thanks for the helpful resource!
This was amazing and so so SO easy to follow I would just add in once more how to switch from one row to the next once you finish the initial star and finish your first 5 round of the 2nd color.
@@ellastewart5747 Hi this is someone who's doing the pattern. What I'm doing is after I slst(slip stitch) I cut the yarn to have a little tail that I'll sew in later. It makes color changing much easier! Hope it helps
I like this! Only thing I would do is when you’re showing stitches like with the ‘skip next 2 stitches’ it really helps when people show that and the one you’re skipping from which you covered a few times. I haven’t made this before so it would be really helpful! Otherwise I like it! Ex: I really like how you kept repeating steps. I had to go back bc of the above aforementioned, however, it really helped save me time too because you said each of them: ‘remember this is the same all the way around’ and then re-said the step ‘3 dc, ch3, 3dc’ which I really love!!
I can't thank you enough for this tutorial! I used it to make a star shaped bikini top because your directions were so clear ❤ I've seen creators with tutorials specifically made for it but they literally don't explain crap, but you saved me some serious tears 🙇🏽♀️

I’m currently working this pattern and I love it, but my tips of my star are curling horribly :( I’m too far in to frog, I sized up my hook twice and it’s still happening (started with 6.0, sized to 6.5 then 7.0) should I just trust the process and steam at the end???
I am loving this tutorial! Only issue I’m having now is where to end 😂 anyone else who has made one of these, did you end at a star point or somewhere else? TIA :)
i dont know if this question makes a lot of sense but would there be a way of changing the star into a square after i get to the size i like for the star?
I don’t really understand what you mean with then you are going to increase by two in every round I just don’t get it so I do my normal pattern and when I am ready I have to do increases?
Yeah that, Plus the oddity of (in rd. 2) doing a chain between the dcs and sc but NOT doing one between the sc and the next dcs had me very confused at first
Here is the written pattern I made for this tutorial. Sorry if it doesn’t make sense. R4: slip stitch, dc into same stitch, 3dc, 3dc [into space made by ch3 last round], ch3, 3dc into same space, 4dc [one may look like it is in the space, but it’s not.], [skip 2, 4dc, 3dc [into space made by ch3 last round], ch3, 3dc into same space, 4dc [one may look like it is in the space, but it’s not.], ]x 4, slip stitch with colour B R5: slip stitch into same space, [ 6dc, *3dc, ch3, 3dc* into same st, 6dc, skip2, ]x5, slip stitch to close. R6 and onwards: add 2 dc when you are working up to the point for each round. So on round 6 you will have eight, round 7 you will have ten etc, do the same amount of dc down again.

hi! i have 4 skeins of yarn that are all 100 grams each (i’m not sure what weight they are but i use a 4.0mm crochet hook for it), and i was wondering how big this blanket would come out and if i would have enough to make a decent sized one? sorry if this doesn’t really make sense 😅 because i have this yarn laying around and you’re video and pattern seemed very nice! ❤️
So what I did is I saw how long the yarn is so mine was in meters and changed it to yards and then I just googled how big of a 6 day star blanket with _______ yards of yarn and that could be a good estimate of how big it would be hope this helped ❤
i appreciate that you didn't skip over showing repeating steps. this tutorial is very helpful thank you!!

Wow gorgeous Exactly what I was looking for ! Nice and clear !
Hey I notice that you skip a double crochet after working into the chain 3 space, is that intentional?
The chain 3 counts as one of the 3 double crochets !
Yeah that, Plus the oddity of (in rd. 2) doing a chain between the dcs and sc but NOT doing one between the sc and the next dcs had me very confused at first
it's confusing to me how on some rows you don't put your first dc into your slipstitch, and then on one row you did. How does that work?
Here is the written pattern I made for this tutorial. Sorry if it doesn’t make sense.
Star blanket pattern
R1: 25dc into magic circle
R2: [skip 1, sc, skip 1, 3dc into same stitch, ch3, 3dc into the same stitch] , slip st into first sc
R3: slip stitch into the stitch you are currently in, ch2, dc (ch2 counts as a dc), 3dc [into the space made by the 3ch in the previous round], 3ch, 3dc into same space, 2dc, [skip 2, 2dc, 3dc [into the space made by the 3ch in the previous round], 3ch, 3dc into same space, 2dc] x4, slip stitch into first dc from R3.
R4: slip stitch, dc into same stitch, 3dc, 3dc [into space made by ch3 last round], ch3, 3dc into same space, 4dc [one may look like it is in the space, but it’s not.], [skip 2, 4dc, 3dc [into space made by ch3 last round], ch3, 3dc into same space, 4dc [one may look like it is in the space, but it’s not.], ]x 4, slip stitch with colour B
R5: slip stitch into same space, [ 6dc, *3dc, ch3, 3dc* into same st, 6dc, skip2, ]x5, slip stitch to close.
R6 and onwards: add 2 dc when you are working up to the point for each round. So on round 6 you will have eight, round 7 you will have ten etc, do the same amount of dc down again.
So no more skipping?
@@drubailey3904 I think it is still two stitches skipped, at least that's what worked for me :D
when I change colors, am I supposed to cut the yarn and weave it in asap? or just cut it?
That’s up to you! Some people like to weave as they work through their project and some people like to save it all for the very end.
how much yarn did you use in total?? in grams if possible
You can use bulky yarn if you really watch your stitches. Thank you so much , my daughter wanted a pillow, and I used your pattern!!!

this turned out so cutee
Great tutorial! I do find that mine isn’t laying flat so far (I just worked to the end of your video). Is that normal, or should I restart to adjust my tension or the tightness of my magic circle? Thanks so much!
Most of the time it'll go flat over time when you make it bigger but it could also be your tension is too tight-
If you’re using thick yarn you can treble crochet twice and chain two and treble crochet twice into the chain three space
Amazing tutorial!
I used bulky yarn but it still looked good I really think it was better with bulky yarn because I didn’t need to use the whole tutorial and it was way faster
