This seems like a HUGE step forward for Elgato but as many others including myself are waiting for is an Audio Mixer, fully fledged but customizable. A true GoXLR/Rodecaster competitor, we all know if Elgato made one it would be way better than both of those because of the customization options and whatever else they'd include. Elgato says they currently have no plans but looking at the feedback of the SD+ It's mostly "This is amazing, BUT I would like a full audio mixer". Hi there. I use the Stream Deck XL as a productivity tool (not for streaming) and it is the best investment ever. I just bought this Stream Deck + (waiting for arrival) for expanded productivity features. The macros that you can make are just crazy awesome. Cheers.

I actually use my stream deck as more of an automation tool for Visual Studio. (and ofcourse also for other stuff) I do think the dails could be handy there as well.
The wavelink being included letting you use your own interface/mic. And just overall windows sound mixer control was my main reason I insta bought it. Looking forward to using it when it arrives
How have you been getting on with it? I don't stream, but can see other uses for it and as an overall windows sound mixer is a big reason why I've tempted as well.
@@ImAbwag I think just using it as a sound mixer is ok but wavelink takes it a little further. I like being able to adjust game sound and music sound and voice coms while playing games easily with the wavelink sub mixes.
That is the first thing I thought too when seeing the touchbar. "Finally a use for the Corsair Nexus". That being said they could have easily made the screen bigger though and less of a bezel because while the 8 LCD keys are useful they could have less space and still work just as fine since they are bigger keys than what you see on the normal Stream Deck anyways. This thing looks really good though and I might consider picking one up but over all will probably end up waiting for an XLR interface, a full GoXLR/Rodecaster competitor

Hello! First of all, I want to thank you for the great review! I am very interested in one question! At the moment I have a problem with choosing between loupedeck live and Elgato Stream Deck Plus. The question is: if I don't have an elgato eco system at home (there are no products of this brand), how much will it affect the functionality of elgato stream desk plus? I always liked the steam deck, but this is even better. Having a potentiometer is great, for streaming, for EDITING. This is gonna be awesome! I wonder if you can tie a dial to a specific application's volume? Let's say I'm playing a game and watching a youtube video, I can dial the game volume down and keep the video volume up, and when an important part in the game comes on, I can press the media button on my pc to pause the youtube video and turn the dial to bring my game app's volume back up. That'd be awesome! EDIT: YOU CAN ADJUST INDIVIDUAL APPLICATION VOLUMES! ALRIGHT!
I think that it is a step in the right direction. I am not a streamer, and I use both of my XL for general productivity, and my MK1 as part of my flight sim gear. The addition of rotary encoders is great, and the loss of 7 buttons can be worked around, but that stand is just a dealbreaker for me.

So you said you didn't like the Loupedeck live's program at first. Would you say it has improved and worth that extra $70 over this, or do you think the Stream Deck + is more than enough to do majority of macros for streams?. Say you were a one, two, or three man podcast or game stream crew wants to direct a stream, with plenty of scene switches and volumes, do you think this would be good enough for that or maybe something bigger with more complicated system is worth the effort to learn?
I'm interested to know if this product has any issue switching between computers hooked to a KVM switch. I work at home and switch between my personal and business computer. Would it switch and work on both?
Great product and use case. I can see myself using it already. The only thing I would suggest is if they can increase the size of the buttons or give us more.
