    The corruption and inefficiency in DRDOs and HALs, esspecially the procurement, is the single most biggest challenge for the private sector! The bureaucrats talk all technology and pur honey into the ear, however when smart youngsters invest money and time to get the work done, they will still go with the (L1) lousy underbid! It is a insult to the efforts of the smart startups and they will stay away from defense because of such trickery!

    Chinese defence budget of $300bn propels it to close the GAP with the US, although they are far behind in Air power! As far as india is concerned, the biggest concern that surrounds it, is the fact that india relies on arm imports more than any other nation in the world. This heavy dependence on foreign tech and weapons genuinely makes china an overmatch. Thus a makeover is highly unlikely to mold things india's way in their pursuit to match china.

    • @blackmamba9950
      @blackmamba9950 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      India is a country that is way richer than it looks. The reason why our cities look bad is because we don't have enough cities for the population. It's too congested in Mumbai,also lot of the older population is uneducated and have lower civic sense. This will improve, you don't have to stop military developments for your cities to improve. We are currently demolishing the slums to build housing. Chinese cities also looked pretty bad in early 2000's.

      @@blackmamba9950 Looking bad is one thing. Having thousand of malnourished children, extremely unsanitary and unsafe and people living on the streets in underpasses in Mumbai is another and having trash strewn streets is another. And I am not making assumptions when I am typing this. I saw this via traveller's videos while they are walking informed me of this. Even some rich areas of Mumbai have families that camping at highway underpasses, one video I saw like 2-3 years ago even had a family living under a bridge not far from the famous Mukbhani family skyscraper mansion itself. And Shanghai is way better than Mumbai now in the 2000s.

      @blackmamba9950 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tat3179 you haven't read my comment. lol. Did you even read about the urban congestion I mentionrd? India needs more cities, it'll start looking good.Lot of the reason Indian cities look bad as a result of poor urban management and haphazard growth due to lack of other industrialized cities previously. China was similar in 2000's, I know because I traveled to Shenzhen and Shanghai during that period as part of my work. As for kids/families under the bridge, this has gone down significantly in 2023. Govt has built millions of subsidized homes for poorer sections but everyone wants to move to Cities like Mumbai for better opportunities. New cities are pooping up but it needs to be faster. As tier 2 cities industrialize, the movement of labor will be controlled.
      Also China micromanages the movement of labor, you need passes to move to a particular city to work. While it may sound good, I have reservations about this. No big city in the world had adopted this model, it creates artificial inequity. Indian system is slow, inefficient but it's flexible and getting better. The fertility ratio is less than 2 now, so it'll get better in the next 30 years.

Sure, It isn't what it is now, but it doesn't have a Dharvati then, meanwhile Mumbai still have a Dharvati even now, shrinked or not. That is one. And what I saw in Dharvati today horrified me.
      Lol. "Gone down significantly"....means it is still exists. In 2020s. There is almost none in China. You will struggle to look for people living underbridges in Shanghai, even in the 2000s. Slums in China is waaay more humane than in India.
      That is a fact.
      And because similiar sizes in population, perhaps the Chinese government has the better sense to micromanage and actually control the movement of people from the villages to the cities so atrocities like Indian slums don't exist? So people suffer less?Just a thought.
      Or you know, stop focusing so much in your space programme while your village people are living in dire poverty and address those needs first before "trying to best China"?
      Once, Chinese cities was also the most polluted on earth. Now that "honor" goes to India too. What do you say about that as well?
      I am not from the PRC. I just call a spade, a spade. To me, you can call the CCP whatever you want. Call them evil, dictatorial, Winnie to Poo....whatever. Fact is far, far more people in China is been looked after by their government before they do their vanity projects like space travel and their military. To be fair, that applies to so called "democractic", "civilised" and "free" western societies as well.

      I hope Indians can read carefully and experience with their hearts. The huge difference in the founding of China and India determines the biggest difference between India and China. Just look at the modern history of both countries and you will understand. India has been colonized by Britain for more than 200 years. In 1947, Britain experienced World War II, its strength declined significantly, and its status was replaced by the United States. India achieved independence through non violent and non cooperative means. In other words, India's independence has not undergone the test of blood and fire. Such an independent country lacks cohesion, willpower, and a sense of national identity. Now let's talk about China. Since the British defeated the corrupt and incompetent Qing government in 1840, the Chinese people have been living in dire straits. Various disasters and wars followed one after another. At that time, China was very poor and backward, suffering various humiliations. Including the cession of Hong Kong and Macau, Taiwan becoming a Japanese colony, the Eight Nation Alliance setting fire to the Old Summer Palace, and subsequent Japan's comprehensive and brutal invasion of China. In 1931, Japan launched a full-scale invasion of China. From 1931 to 1945, the war lasted for 14 years. The Chinese military and civilians rose up to resist, fought with blood for fourteen years, and suffered 30 million casualties, ultimately achieving victory. Do you know why there are so many casualties in China? There are hundreds of reasons, and I will only give an example of one phenomenon: Chinese troops are in conflict with Japanese troops. Often, if the number of Chinese soldiers participating in the war is 100, they only have 20-30 firearms. The remaining soldiers did not give up resistance or surrender. They bravely fought against the Japanese machine guns and cannons with machetes, steel forks, and wooden sticks until they sacrificed themselves. This spirit of facing death as if returning home and never retreating is the Chinese spirit. 30 million casualties! Do you think this can happen in India? For India, it is zero casualties because their knees are soft. India will soon give up resistance. Do you know why there was the Nanjing Massacre? Due to the desperate resistance of the Chinese military and civilians, they will never surrender or give up. After Japan captured Nanjing, firstly to vent its anger, and secondly to scare off other Chinese soldiers and civilians in resistance. However, the Nanjing Massacre not only did not deter any Chinese people, but also further aroused the resistance of the Chinese people. The establishment of New China has gone through the test of blood and fire. Do you know why the Chinese national flag is red? That's because the establishment of New China was bought with the blood of countless Chinese ancestors, and we Chinese people will always remember it. From 1945 to 1949, during the Chinese Civil War, the Kuomintang fled to Taiwan. Originally, the Chinese people thought they could live a peaceful life they had longed for, but in 1950, the Korean War broke out, lasting three years. The Chinese People's Volunteer Army successfully resisted the northward route of the United States without air superiority, sea superiority, outdated army equipment, and extremely poor logistics, at the cost of losing hundreds of thousands of brave People's Liberation Army soldiers. As for India's unforgettable and shameful 1962 Sino Indian War, in the eyes of us Chinese, it was not a war at all. Firstly, it only took 32 days. Secondly, from 1959 to 1961, China experienced the most difficult three years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, during which many people starved to death. In 1962, India's economy far surpassed that of China. Both the United States, the Soviet Union, and Britain support India. At that time, India implemented a "forward policy" and attacked China with elite troops. We Chinese people really don't want to go to war. The Chinese troops that participated in the war with India in 1962 were ordinary border defense forces, not regular People's Liberation Army. In China, soldiers are known as the "cutest people". There is a Chinese proverb: without a country, there is no home, and soldiers are the backbone of the country. Thank you to our brave soldiers of the People's Liberation Army who are always ready to defend the borders of our motherland. No matter how India develops its military, it cannot surpass China. Whether in the past, present, or future, China can always defeat India. This is determined by the history and culture of both countries. Chinese people value the spirit of dedication and sacrifice. Do not surrender, do not surrender, vow to resist to the death, and face death as if returning on the battlefield. If Chinese soldiers surrender on the battlefield, it would be a great shame, and the spirit of dying rather than giving up is deeply engraved in the bones of every Chinese person. These are all things that Indians do not possess. So, even now or in the future, India will never be able to defeat China. Now, do you think India can stand tall in the world like China? Absolutely impossible.

      The Indian army is the worst army among all China's opponents. The Chinese War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression lasted for 14 years, the Chinese Civil War lasted for 4 years, the Korean War lasted for 3 years, China's self-defense and counterattack against Vietnam lasted for 2 months, and China's border war with Vietnam lasted for 10 years. India's understanding of "war" is too narrow. We Chinese believe that India has never experienced a real war. In 1962, in the eyes of the Chinese people, it was not a war, it was just an armed conflict between China and India. In 1962, a brief, just 32 day armed conflict continued India's nightmare for decades. What makes Chinese people laugh is that a border conflict has turned India into a "New Delhi Capital Defense War".
