I tried Strathmore Bristol vellum, it is a textured paper that did not allow the pigment of the colored pencil to get in between the tooth of the paper, end result a lot of white space. I also tried Strathmore sketch paper. The end result was the same only more pronounced. I now use a Strathmore paper designed specifically for colored pencils. It is not a Bristol nor is it a vellum and it excepts as many layers as you want or need to use, leaves zero white space, and produces perfect color results every time.
That sounds great what’s the name of the one you use now? I’d love to give it a try!

I love your videos so much! Your voice is so calming to listen to. I am in the US and can't find an affordable supplier that ships the Tintoretto Gesso Paper. Do you or anyone else in the comments know of a dupe brand? I'm having such a hard time finding good quality hammered texture cardstock. I can't even find that Epson art paper for sale in the US. Thank you for all your hard work :) happy holidays!

@Shannon Mullin ....hi hunni i wouldn't have your beautiful images up in high resolution on display.. and definitely have a hard watermark across your images also.. alot of illustration images are being stolen ( print screen or right clicking) you have spent a lot of hours creating these beautiful pictures, for someone to come and steal them.... I don't want you to be afraid of this but i think you may have a visitor with you, if you go to 40 seconds of this video and look in the bottom right of the screen and wait a second you can see a very prominent Orb pass by. Oh amazing work keep it up
