Great , thanks - provided some specific starting points for the engineer to look at next week on a WB 30cdi classic with intermittent but now increasingly frequent EA fault ....In mid December the condensate siphon trap was blocked with tiny metallic debris, it was cleaned out and had a full service .... burner was a bit mucky but everything else looked good. But just 3 days later EA fault reappeared. Since then, it has done it about half a dozen times and reset after several attempts ....until today. Checked siphon trap , and found it full of the same debris again. Flushed it out. Boiler fired up after initial commissioning cycle. 🤔 I want to find out what is causing the siphon trap debris build up within just 6 weeks? Doesn’t seem right !!
Hi, what possible issues could be, boiler was off for a while and now getting EA error code when open hot waterin the bath. Other taps seems OK. Looks like it's struggle to heat up water.
Ace .allways willing to learn new things. Thanks very much .
Superb Geoffrey you are saving loads of boilers , Keep them coming

I had this issue.
I cleaned the heat exchanger and it was sorted
Clever idea of using graphite with a pencil to stop bearing plate sticking
Brilliant sir very professional

Thanks for this upload much appreciated , :)
Geoffrey why did you go over the bearing plate with a pencil?
stops the bearing plate sticking to the metal.
Graphite in the pencil acts as a lubricant between the rubber flap and round metal frame of the plate - old skool
Genius!!
