      And yes, it sounded great while idling! I was definitely getting excited as it hasn't idled correctly since the issue started!

      @@Amundred I've heard guys mention ground connections, like the spaghetti strands of fusible links coming off the battery. You would have to remove your battery to check those. That might help.

      @@geneyus6411 I ordered a OBD1 Cable and software to monitor this on my laptop - going to see if I can find anything this way! Should be here in about a week!

    I just watched your Optispark change, I am doing one on my 92, I have a 96 and a 77, I made the mistake of washing my motor and the car has not run good since. So out comes that Distributor, Fun so far... Ya Right. waiting on parts... I don't like the LT-1 I might go coil on plug or pull the damn thing out and I have a 400 cu small block 425 horse and go old school with carb and a normal Distributor. You Did it sounds Good.

      The LT1 is a complete pain in the butt!!! I have looked at the Coil On Plug conversion many times! The 24x system seems like a good option! I want to get mine running correctly first and then may bite the bullet and make the swap!

    You don't have to waste time disconnecting the fuel lines.
    Just undo the clamp and when you pull up on the rail , just lay the whole rail up toward your windshield. The white grease on the O rings, is so you don't tear them while installing.

      Gene... Thanks for posting this. I just did my 93 Vette injectors and used your comment to facilitate the replacement without disconnecting the lines. Wish I had read it before ordering a fuel/trans disconnect kit, but I'll probably end up using it in the future. 👍

      Exactly yes. I've done hundreds of these over the years and never disconnected the lines to do this or FPR yet.
      No real point in disconnecting the battery either, but some people seem to like doing that.

    My 5.7 IROC IS DOING THE SAME EXACT THING. Except mine was backfiring through the exhaust. And acting all crazy. Ive changed: all plugs/wires/cap/ rotor/ EGR valve/IAC-sensor/ amongst other sensors. Oxygen sensor, and about to change my injectors.

    Did you change fuel filter before installation of new injectors?

      I actually changed the fuel pump, filter and pressure regulator

    I’m not sure where this question should be put up but I’ve been having an issue with mine. I started up. It runs great for about 10 minutes and just dies cut off. Try to restart it like it’s out of fuel. I’ve already replaced the fuel pump fuel filter, relays and throttle positioning center, any help would be appreciated

      Unfortunately, it could be a few different things causing this. Without doing some diagnostics and using a meter to grab sensor data, it may be hard to get to the cause.
      Could be ignition control module, TPS, Opti, etc - if you have the service manual, I believe it has a diagnostics chart for this, but I sold mine with the car and do not have it to reference for you.
      Good luck...these cars are amazing when they are running...they are a PITA when not.

      The Corvette is currently in the stage where I decide what I want to do with it...LS Swap, Big Block, Small Block...just no idea at the moment 👍

      Sorry to hear that.
      I have a 94 LTI that seems to vibrate misfire and bog when under load. In Neutral it's absolutely fine. I replaced the fuel filter, thinking maybe it's fuel pump or spark plugs or the fuel injectors. Any ideas?

      @@DC. Plugs, wires, opti, coil... usually an ignition problem if it is only happening under load...but still a lot of different items that could be the actual problem.

      Well spark plugs and wires have been replaced but my problem is still there so onto the fuel injectors

      @@Amundred The other guy who was having same issues, said he had to replace ICM connector He just said fired right up , which yours did too. He didn't mention when in gear. You don't hear any vacuum leaks??

    Dude. I've done what you've done. Not quite. But I had my optispark replaced. I installed the accell injectors. I've replaced a bunch of vacuum lines, I've replaced the ICM. I did plugs and wires. Intake manifold gasket. The gauge cluster pulsates a bit at idle and the car misses only at idle. My car just idles like shit. Idk:( '95 C4

      I am currently rebuilding the engine and will be replacing the ECU - I will hopefully fix this issue this way... hopefully 😒

      Oh man....I have been chasing down a hesitation/misfire issue for quite some time! The injectors were the OE injectors so I decided to go ahead and replace them as I was replacing basically everything on the car at this point! 😂

      I would imagine that they will coincide with the cylinder number.
      So #7 would be the rear-most (closest to the back of the car) injector on the Driver's side.

    I have a C4 LT1 1991 that does not start. I have changed oil,oil filter, gas filter, gas pump, spark plugs, i took out all the old (dirty) gas/ from the fuel lines and from the fuel tank. I bought a brand new batteri. The car still doesn’t start but after i changed all this the car coughs and wants to start. I even sprayed some brake cleaner in to the carburettor and that is when the car coughs and almost whant to start. Anyone know what i should do next?

      Sounds like a full tune up was done basically. You could always check for spark on each of the plugs to make sure that the ignition system is working correctly. A '92 has the LT1 with the Optispark, so that could potentially be the culprit, but you would have a check engine light and a code stored for that. Maybe try pulling the codes?

      Actually, I have a check engine light that came on after this..pulled the codes and it was H43 (knock sensors) so I ordered new knock sensors and will be replacing them when they arrive! Hoping to possibly drive this thing soon!!!!

      I know! We are almost there!!! I did notice that there is now a check engine light and pulled the code...knock sensors (H42) are the DTC so I ordered those yesterday!
