  • Dr. Ed Breitschwerdt, professor of internal medicine at North Carolina State University, discusses recent research into the Bartonella bacteria. Animals and humans can both become infected with the bacteria from insect bites. It may be possible for an infected mother to pass the bacteria to her unborn child in utero, the professor has found.     I was finally diagnosed with Chronic Lyme, with Bartonella. I had twins, a boy and a girl. My daughter was born with Down Syndrome and my son passed away when he was only a few months old.

    hi dr.breitshwerdt...i was wondering where i could get a hold of you and if you take new patients? I am sick 25 years with a son sick and two daughters...all very low cd57 and probable co infections....besides lyme. please message me..thank..u
