    I love the way you use "edutainment" (as you cleverly put it in a prior video) to bring such important aspects of this insidious disease to those of us who so desperately need it. Thank you for putting yourself out there on YT and for your FB group as well! As an RN and certified health coach (now unemployed - thanks, Bart - NOT!), because of my medical/technical background and wanting only info that's "legit," I started out only reading PubMed and 'scholarly' articles over the past 2+ months. Then I morphed into watching seminars/webinars on YT presented by those in the medical community to glean more info via pictorials and bullet points. Finally, this past week I've morphed into watching personal videos of those struggling with Lyme and Bartonella. They've all been helpful, but you've managed to cover and condense everything into fun, creative and informative videos while also highlighting the frustrations and revealing the very real side of human suffering this disease can bring. And since there is so much to learn about bartonellosis as I've learned by watching your videos, even with the research I've done, I still don't know it all!
    I just wanted to add that many supplements can thin the blood, including some in this video. Admittedly, I am a supplement junkie due to older age (61) and chronic inflammation and know I need to be careful when adding additional supplements. As you mentioned in your video, some people try 'this' and others try 'that,' but it might not be a good idea to use too many or try them all. I was already on NAC 600 mg once a day prior to 'the bite' and was also taking CuraMed (liposomal turmeric, as other forms with piperine bothered my stomach) as well as Fish oil 3g/day, all which thin the blood. After 'the bite,' I added Quercetin with bromelain (enzymes), upped the NAC to 1200/day and added the oil of oregano (which I do believe thins the blood). I'm considering adding the Lumbrokinase, as I learned about it just about a week ago, but it does "lower blood viscosity" as well. I was considering the allicin, but decided to skip it altogether, since it also thins the blood - LOL! I decided to continue adding garlic to prepped meals and dressings, though.
    Some of these supplements also lower Blood Pressure (probably due to lower blood viscosity). Mine normally runs 115/68-ish. I decided to take my BP this morning 104/71 (worried about developing POTS, as my symptoms blew up after a flu shot last November, which set me on the road to discovering Lyme & Co). Since I've cut out grains (they hold onto water), sugars, processed foods, dairy and starches such as potatoes, this has probably also contributed to the lower BP. Because of the lower BP, and since I have neurological Lyme and Bartonella, I've added celery juice this week (a WebMd article stated, "The researchers conclude that luteolin "may be useful for mitigating neuroinflammation," PS - raw Chinese celery has the most luteolin), as celery is said to have about 30 mg sodium per stalk (and also has potassium, which regulates fluid balance). In a nutshell, I'm worried about too much sodium because sodium can increase brain inflammation, but I'm concerned about the BP getting too low. Thus, the benefits (I hope) are neuroprotective effects and keeping my BP from getting too low. Some have said that juicing celery gave them explosive diarrhea (a common occurrence), but since I've got IBS-C, it hasn't happened to me . . . yet.

      Thank you so much for such a kind and thoughtful comment. I am so sorry to hear you are also dealing with bartonellosis. It truly does suck. Very interesting about raw Chinese celery! I want to add celery back as soon as I am able. I recently have been eating salt due to high resting heart rate, low blood osmolality, and brain symptoms and nausea and it’s helped immensely. Of course, it’s all about the right balance and it sounds like you are trying to walk that tightrope just like I am. Cheers to not falling off!!!

      Low fermentation smoothie and soup fast for a few days 🤔 and finished reading Dr Pimentel’s new book . It’s fantastic! I know stool tests are not as accurate for small intestine insight , but I recently did one from and my gut score was 1 out of ten 😳😩 I literally try so hard and dig like a wacko for information trying to do everything perfectly in order to heal 😅 it’s time to try the antibiotics recommended by Dr Pimentel . I haven’t gone that route yet because I have Major fungal struggles that just do not budge - stubborn as all get up 🥴🤠🌫🙆🏽‍♀️ so another round of nystatin after too .
      Anyway , long story long ! We are all in this together and you have cheerleaders out here just lifting you up and praying for you !! Thank you , truly for every ounce of hard work you put into your healing and your channel . I know it’s not easy and I can’t imagine some of the hardships you face but don’t you give up - ever . You’ve got such a light and so glad you’re here in the world shining it . Maybe momma sassssses will make an appearance sometime 🧏🏼‍♀️👏🏾👏🏾

    First time seeing your vid.
    Smart, sexy, funny, dog lover, and most importantly...
    Informative.
    Sick with Lyme/Bart/etc., for over 12 years, still haven't found the golden key.
    I arrived at your vid bc I'm thinking about utilizing proteolytic enzymes again, having tried them before only sparingly. This time I think I'll use serrapeptase, as it is more economical than lumbrokinase, yet it should still have an impact on the biofilm. Nattokinase doesn't seem strong enough to make a dent.
    The spacey, out of this world feeling brain fog is by far my worst symptom, but of course it's accompanied by severe fatigue, migraines, blurred vision, high anxiety, etc.etc.etc.
    I think I'll hit it with the serrapeptase while simultaneously taking oil of oregano in capsules. Maybe this time it'll move the needle. I hope so bc I'm running out of options and feeling worse as the years roll by.
    So, thank you for your information, and delivering it with a side helping of humor. Get well, stay well, and please keep the vids coming.

    I was treated in the psychiatric ward with benzoyl peroxide for mild acne and then I was told to shower with an antimycotic because I had small, light spots on my stomach and I was given neuroleptics that caused agranulocytosis and then the fungal treatment and benzoyl peroxide were stopped because of red, tight skin on my face. Then they gave me antibiotics and Since then I have had an oily, slimy biofilm on my face and PCOS syndrome with severe acne and increased body hair and an eating disorder and constipation and compulsive washing and no one believes me And when I was put on antidepressants, I had violent intrusions and auto-aggressions every day

    Is Bartonellosis known more physical/fatigue type symptoms? Or can it also cross over into neurological symptoms as well? I tested with Vibrant Wellness, which came back with mycoplasma, borrelia, and bartonella; however, my main symptoms have been neurological in nature (light/sound sensitivity, air hunger, POTS, ect). I have a question if Bartonella is in our bloodstream then why won’t they let us get IVs of these anabiotic’s so they’re flowing through the bloodstream and killing the Bartonella. I get an occasional nutrient IV called a Myers cocktail and when I have the IV done I feel a lot better and I always wonder if it’s not flushing or affecting the Bartonella in the blood vessels.

    • @BartonellaBabe
      @BartonellaBabe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Don! Bartonella isn’t in our bloodstream very much. Bartonella lives in the cells that line the blood vessels and it can even live in bone marrow and other types of cells. Some of the antibiotics that are most effective for Bartonella do not come IV. This includes clarithromycin and rifabutin. Your occasional nutrient IV cocktails are not flushing Bartonella. You might feel better because of the vitamin C or because of getting IV fluids which is a very efficient way of hydrating someone. It’s also important to know that there are increased risks with IV antibiotics and they don’t necessarily penetrate many tissues much better than oral antibiotics

    Great vid. Yesterday I learned that NAC is made from duck feathers. So shout out to the ducks. My new favorite biofilm agent is xylitol. Jemsek says it 'washes away' biofilm and he uses it with lactoferrin which does something specific to the biofilm. He got this protocol from a wound clinic who was having success with it. I like it since its super cheap ($10 a lb of organic xylitol).

    • @BartonellaBabe
      @BartonellaBabe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Duck yeah! That was terrible. Fuck. Wonder what the research says about xylitol but wound clinics should know what they’re talking about at least with wound biofilms, which aren’t internal. Xylitol is an alcohol sugar so not great for people with SIBO but if you’re on the clarithromycin and rifampin combo, sibo wont be an issue

    Opinions are like assholes, we all have one. BUT in my opinion your immune system is suppressed for some complicated reason hence it cannot fight off your microorganism issues. AND that leads to a whole HOST of other problems. Take a close look at your environment (home) and water that you are exposing yourself to (drinking & showers) for mold or some other toxicities that could be contributing factor. Stressors in your environment over time can cause massive nutritional imbalances that lead to toxicities and/or deficiencies of the BIG SIX electrolyte minerals; sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, and chloride. When those get off balance you WILL have big immune system issues and many times can ONLY can be corrected with tailored mineral therapy specific to your needs. AND NO, LAB BLOOD TEST ARE NOT A SUFFICIENT WAY TO UNDERSTAND THE STATUS OF YOUR ELECTROLYTE BIOCHEMISTRY. Many times one has to look at the extracellular matrix fluid to get an accurate picture of what is happening with you. Or simply trial and error of different minerals to observe changes, but this requires understanding of how minerals interact with other minerals and their synergistic + antagonistic biochemical reactions.

    Been binge watching your videos. You are very impressive. I don't have sulfur intolerance but I just have a love of science, health and biology....have you investigated the notion that regular sunlight exposure to the skin and eyes can help the body convert sulfite to sulfate? Sulfate is crucial for generating structured water, which provides the negative charge that every cell needs to function, metabolize and detox correctly. Maybe I'm not telling you anything but Dr. Seneff is at least an occasional working partner of Greg Nigh and is all into how glyphosate destroys the gut and disrupts sulfate production, leading to sulfite accumulation and a variety of illness, including sulfur intolerance. I'm thinking a raging surfer tan plus avoidance of all potential sources of glyphosate (GMO) in your diet might be a good additional therapies. Here's one of her many videos...th-cam.com/video/IALQmPK1-8U/w-d-xo.html

      Yes I’m definitely familiar with all of that research although I definitely could be more familiar and hope to be one day! I’ve been feeling too sick to do any reading, writing, filming, or editing. I am getting sunshine but I’m going to avoid a raging surfer tan because, well, skin cancer and premature skin aging lol. And of course I avoid glyphosate in my food to the extent that any of us can. At this point, I would say the jury is still out on what exactly is the deal with sulfur intolerance and I hope we as patients get some more clear answers soon!!

      @@BartonellaBabe I would say, just as Dr. Seneff probably would, that sulfur intolerance is caused from a lack of sunshine and structured water that the sulfur helps generate. I realize there may be a log jam of sorts in people who cannot tolerate sulfur, but this fact may have arisen initially from a lack of sun exposure/melanin...(do a search on how UV light can degrade acetaldehyde and convert it into acetic acid..MY UNSCIENTIFIC OPINION: sulfite/acetaldehyde may be an alternative energy source to sunlight that produce sulfate in the absence of sun exposure...echoes of Greg Nigh...)
      My wife has the MTHFR mutation and suffered from debilitating skin condition (eczema plus topical steroid withdrawal), which in many ways seem to have parallels with what you are going through, especially a buildup of acetaldehyde. She had previously been a chronic sun avoider throughout her life for the reasons you state, but ultimately reversed her devastating condition by getting in the sun daily, getting in the dirt daily (we have a garden and dirt microbes neutralize ammonia/acetaldehyde) along with ditching her typical diet of 98% produce, switching to a more meat based diet.
      I'm not trying to say that she is you or that these things would work in your situation but after years of reading and being a hack investigator of health/science, I can tell you that the answer to getting better is almost always related to getting close to nature; submersing yourself in it. Melanoma is most certainly caused, not by the sun, but rather by the blue lights from the computer, toxic sunscreen, crappy processed foods, GMO, not enough sunlight, alcohol, chemical exposures, etc most of which contribute to increasing levels of acetaldehyde, which is a poison that directly causes cancer by stimulating cancer stem cells to proliferate. Cancer is the result of poisons that cause the production of ammonia and acetaldehyde ....and if you did a deep dive into melanoma, you'd find that the evidence of sun-causing-melanoma is scant at best...the terrible studies that do exist generally stem from scientists zapping shaved/hairless mice (who are nocturnal and naturally avoid the sun) with unnatural frequencies from UV light machines which are nothing like the sun. Never has a study been conducted using the actual sun, which, along with potentially causing temporary damage to the skin, also floods the body with vitamin D, structured water and all kinds of energy to deal with any necessary repairs.
      I don't say any of this to argue, only to emphasize the point that nature is your healer. The sun is a healer and provider of energy for the cells...I believe, as I said before, that daily sun exposure will degrade acetaldehyde with the structured water it creates, which will energize and regulate the body naturally by enveloping every cell with the voltage to heal. I'm sure you're aware of Dr. Gerald Pollack and his "Forth Phase of Water." (th-cam.com/video/p9UC0chfXcg/w-d-xo.html 13 minute video - you must watch this, as he shows how sunlight energizes the ATP in every cell) Dr. Mae Wan Ho has also done great work in this field.
      Another related field you could also start diving into is that of melanin and all the ways that it organizes/regulates the body, including removing heavy metals. www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.0808768105 Melanin is the dark pigment on the skin, as well as in your eyes, spinal column, brain steam, and in the nucleus in every cell in the body. Low melanin levels = no energy, no healing potential, and you can get a gauge of how darkly pigmented your internal melanin is (which indicates strength/vitality) by looking at your skin and seeing if any melanin exists there. This researcher says that ATP generated by diet is not even the major player when it comes to cellular energy production in the body - but rather sunlight/melanin is. (www.researchgate.net/publication/273134423_Beyond_Mitochondria_What_Would_be_the_Energy_Source_of_the_Cell?fbclid=IwA ....fascinating). I do believe that sun/melanin/structured water is the secret to life insofar as getting over dysfunction and disease. Best of luck to you.

      So how long in the sun each day would you say is adequate? And is this dependent on how much skin in showing? Meaning you can be in a swim suit lying down with lots of skin exposure for a shorter period of time and that would be equivalent to someone walking in a t shirt and shorts for a longer period of time? All other things being equal
      And wouldn’t this be different for people living at higher latitudes in winter? And maybe even impossible at some times in the year at higher latitudes? And then how do you account for people with darker skin? If this theory is correct, wouldn’t those with darker skin be more prone to sulfur intolerance given that those with the deepest skin tones filter out twice as much UV radiation as light-skinned people?
      Thanks for engaging in a dialogue with me 🙂 and I will begin my homework as soon as I am able lol

    • @supersport22
      @supersport22 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BartonellaBabe you're right..it depends on the person in regards to how much sunlight they require. I grew up in Texas, have olive complexion, and need more sun exposure than someone who is from northern Ireland or Ontario Canada. I have another pet theory (take it for what it's worth) that MTHFR mutations are an adaptation people have towards minimal sunlight; it's a genetic variant that basically slows down organ function (and other functions) to save energy - much like living life in a sort of biological Safe Mode (to use a computer analogy). It's all about the ENERGY...and when you don't have enough, the body starts taking short cuts to conserve it.... But this is why people with MTHFR often have digestive issues, hormone issues, depression, reproductive issues, skin issues and much more - it's because these organs/processes are all energy hogs. MTHFR (biological Safe Mode) is basically ramping down everything except the most vital of operations - everything else is compromised because there is simply not enough energy to go around due to lack of sunlight, the purest form of energy there is.
      And remember, humans are designed to get sunlight. Just like virtually all other organisms (save anaerobic bacteria.)...but imagine what would happen if you take, for example, a plant or a small tree in the forest, and then put a tarp over it; do you think that tree would thrive? Would it be strong? Vibrant? Put out new leaves? Of course not. Now, imagine a human doing the same thing....aka living or working inside all day - this is a functional tarp that they've allowed to be installed over them. So is it any wonder that biological processes are not what they should be? Or that energy levels are down or that hormones or off?
      How much sunshine should you get? Start off slow of course. Because you probably don't have any protective skin oils. Only the regular exposure to the sun will do this.....And this is an individualistic thing, so you will have to see how your body responds to small doses, and then move up in time as your body allows. If this were me, going forward, I would try to get as much sunshine as humanly possible...over as much of my body as possible. The sun will penetrate your skin, kill the bad bugs, detoxify the metals, trigger melatonin, balance your hormones, fix your leaky gut, energize your brain, create skin oils, raise your spirits and much much more. Sunlight will do everything. I see so many people trying to fix biological problems that stem from a lack of sunlight with therapies that do not involve sunlight. It's a sad scenario that results in years of confusion and therapeutic failure.
      We have been lied to about the sun. It is the ultimate healer. My go-to gurus are Stephanie Seneff, Dr. Pollack, and Dr. Jack Kruse, who's very active on Facebook...Dr. Kruse is a genius who's all into the sun for metabolism and healing. I've yet to see a cancer patient or diabetic or auto immune sufferer who has a glowing sun tan....just doesn't happen. For one thing, the acetaldehyde that's teeming in them (aside from sabotaging healthy stomach acid, bile acid and pancreatic enzyme production) shuts down the vitamin D receptor on every cell - vitamin D being a hormone that essentially stores energy from the sun... (but no need for the vitamin d receptor to be active when the person isn't getting in the sun.)...again, this is an energy-saver....but vitamin D deficiency is linked to virtually every dysfunction imaginable.
      Anyway, again, my opinion....If this were me I would get as brown as I could (don't burn, start slow) and hold it there until I was fully cured. It probably wouldn't take too long for you to be cured - or at least vastly improved - once your body is able to hold a tan. Holding a tan will be the signal that your body is able to process sunlight again. Be sure and skip the sunglasses too. You need the sun in your eyes as much as on your skin...this will trigger melatonin production, which will fix darn near everything. Sunglasses should be thrown in the trash can.
