Thanks for the vid. But you missed t oexplain important part: how did you insert adapter and new ssd? Adapter you can insert and screeew it down. How about new ssd how it will hold up there? Also I noticed that there are passive cooling systems selling on the internet for m2 ssd - does it needs to be installed to avoid overheating - all notebooks have problems with cooling)

The adapter just simply overlaps over the original spacing that's on the board and when you use the original mounting hole for the originall HDD it will keep both the adapter and HDD in place, it's just pure common sense! As for SSD's overheating this is not a major issue and if it is for you this can easily be resolved by using a heat strip that looks like a strip of gum that some companies will provide yu with your M.2 and would'nt suggest using anything thicker as it can cause other fitment issues when closing up the laptop. I've used WD Black Series and all of the Samsung's and have NEVER seen one failed due to overheating and never had a customer come back to me advising that their SSD is no longer working. There's a reason why they offer 5 years warranty on them and they have been benchmarked to exceed the 5 years they guarantee but ofcourse you will get the odd dudd but that's with anything that we buy and used.

Is this NVME?
I thought it was 6gbps sata only?
