That’s my shit! I’m into retro gaming too, and thinking about getting the Raspberry Pi 4 pre loaded with games... Check it out on TH-cam if you never heard of it
I'm a longtime Bond fan, and Sean Connery is the quintessential Bond imho. However, Goldeneye is arguably the best Bond movie in the franchise. Highly classified shave, Ken.
Such a shame that Jill passed on...a wonderful shave Ken...I have all of my dads old James Bond books which I’m hoping to pass on to one of my nephews if they are interested in the future...we lost Lex’s uncle recently though not to covid but we have been devastated. Lex was extremely close to his wonderful uncle...stay safe to you and your family...
I'm a big James Bond fan too. I like this. Although it's probably not appropriate for the time, I think the razor that looks the most James Bondesque fo me is the Merkur Futur Gold Plated. My favorite actor to play Bond was George Lazenby, my favorite film On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Hi Ken- Great 007 Goldeneye tribute shave; thank you! Very nicely done! So many missing Jill. May she Rest In Peace! I hope you are enjoying the weekend. Take good care and be safe and be well. Best regards, as always, Ken!
Great tribute shave! Goldeneye is always very nostalgic for me, growing up in the 90’s, I was always playing the N64 version. Thanks for a fun video, and securing the detailed props.
I probably mentioned it before, but Goldeneye was the first ever James Bond movie I ever saw. One of the higher form classes back in school was having a fundraiser and they played the movie. Fell in love with the franchise then and there.
Goldeneye is my favourite James Bond movie of all time and Pierce Brosnan was my favourite Bond. But you’re right it did get a bit hokey after Goldeneye.
I still have my Sensor razor which I received from Gillette when I turned 18. I don’t know if the company still does that promo for guys when they hit that milestone but it was a nice birthday present! I still use it to this day when I need to put down the DE safety razor or when I need a quick shave in the shower. It shaves well and lacks all the worthless gimmicks you don’t need. Sensor commercials from the early 90’s were excellent, unlike today’s Gillette advertisements...
I personally like the older films of James Bond however, any Bond film is great! Along with reading Bond books in the den. Haha FYI I shave with a Schick injector from Live and Let Die.
Hey Ken, cool you still having your European passport! I'm German and my father and his family are from NC. The Contour was my first razor and I went with Cartridge razors all the way to the Mach3 before I switched to safety razors. Stay safe and healthy
Greetings from Germany. Great video, great stuff, great shave and this fantastic sensor... FANTASTIC. But why you don't use the Wilkinson Sword Protector in the "Golden Eye Edition"? In my opinionthat would be the perfect match for an Golden Eye Tribute Shave. Stay safe and go on with your cool shaving videos.
Being a 90’s kid myself, I’m glad to see others on here remember Goldeneye on N64! LOL! The movie was great too! Although, Pierce Brosnan was good, Sean Connery was the classic. I honestly think Daniel Craig is my favorite Bond though. My first razor was a Gillette Sensor. Nice video Ken👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
awesome razor, great video....yeah R.I.P Jill...hmmm my father and i only like Sean Connery...well Craig Danial is the next who comes close to a good James Bond stay safe cheers....Peter
Ken that Sensor is absolutely GOOOOOOOOGEOS. I love your videos and they gave me my favorite hobby, me and my 13 year old son watched this video and asked me to make him a shaving kit and teach him how to shave. Your an inspiration and keep up the good work Sir.
when I was young , I had all the books from ian fleming ( in dutch ) and I remember reading them almost for more then 10 years , also I saw all the films of james bond , really a period of my life who was very nice , I understand your hobby to have so many interest in james bond , regards robert
Great shave! I remember the Sensor and the Excel from back in the 90's as my father and my uncle used them. Nice idea with the Martini glass. Have a great week end and take care!
Thank you Ken Surf! Sensor is my favorite razor right now I have one of the old original handles, I didn’t know they made a gold version!!!! I just bought one!
Nice tribute shave Ken👍 I Just had a shave with the following: A British Gillette Superspeed loaded with Feather blade, Finished the 3-rd pass with Gillette Sensor Excell Simpson Commoddore 3X Best Badger brush TOBS Sandalwood cream Trumper's Coral Skin Tonic Denim Musk aftershave, and Trumper's Coral Food balm. Stay safe!
Great video, can't go wrong with Bond! The Sensor is what got me into DE shaving. When the replacement cartridges got up to over $40 a pack I had to find something else. Always loved that razor though.
Great shave and props, Ken! I don't think I've seen that Bond before. I'll have to check it out. I've been using Moon Soap's a lot lately. Very slick stuff! Stay safe my friend and best wishes for California with the wild fires.
Been shaving with a shavette for the last 2 years was building myself up to getting a straight razor, thought I'd get a DE razor for my mid week shaves so I thought I'd get a merkur 34G. I can honestly say I'm a convert and I might ditch the shavette. I had one of my best shaves 3 passes no nicks and achieved bbs with no irritations. Thanks for the good recommendations Ken 👍. Razor:Merkur 34G Blade:Rapira Swedish Steel Pre: Proraso Red Soap:TOBS Sandalwood Post: Floid
Nicely done Ken💈💈 Pierce would be proud of this tribute shave, no cuts, scrapes or weepers😊 Razor is sweet looking, fitting being gold. TOBS, Floris and Simpsons all fit the theme perfectly👌 Great video and chat, thanks. Enjoy!
Nice shave Ken love your Bond tribute shaves it takes me back my brother had the n64 and the game. boy that was a great video game. Have a great week. Very best regards Gordon.👍👌
Great tribute shave video! In Goldeneye he wore the Quartz version of the Watch.. I used to have the sunglasses he wore in the movie (by Calvin Klein). Thanks for all the effort invested on the video!
I had the silver version of the Sensor... it was mailed to my Dad from Boston... it was cool... but off to the Bay with it... it was pretty much what you have there but silver...
You know, I think I’ll give the old cartridge razor a go this weekend. Wow, it’s been a looong time since I’ve brandished one of those. Thanks for inspiring. Great video. I might splash on a little English Leather for kicks.......if I can find it. Love the channel
Hi Ken, Great video as always, but just wanted to mention that M was only missing for FYEO. Robert Brown played M from Octopussy through License To Kill. Also, The in the early Bonds, the PPK had brown grips. It's too bad they don't make them anymore, I have a set from one of the last production runs that a German friend of mine got me when he went home to visit.
I am going to steal a little bit of PaulH's Thunder and state: I like each version/incarnation of James Bond for who he is. Translation: I like them all equally. That said, cool Tribute. I enjoyed the way you edited the clips into your shave.
Very good tribute shave, yes, it is a very good movie, that is a nice Sensor. I like the Martini glass. I did not know that after that they used only Omega. 😁👍
In fact, Judy Dench played M until Skyfall. Ralph Fiennes took over since then. Pierce Brosnan was a good Bond. I do prefer the more serious style of Timothy Dalton though. All the Brosnan gadgets, and that invisible car... Sometimes it becomes embarassing to watch! LOL! Great shave, Ken!
That was the Hoover damn I launched canoes 🛶 right next to the damn to start my 50 mile canoe trip it was amazing :) wonderful video as always Ken! Thanks so much always enjoy your videos!
That brownish/yellowish PPK stock/handle is highly sought after (the real ones). I want one of those razors.....you think the Bay sells em..... Agree, sometimes a one pass or max 2 pass cart shave is good....esp. if short on time....
Hi Ken. Little bit of trivia here. The Sensor razor was designed by Dieter Rams. This might not mean much to you but he is a big name here in Europe. Have a look at all the things he designed for Braun. Beautiful. He didn't like how Gillette put their logo on though. He hated it, killed his design.
Haven’t been able to find a gold sensor online at all! Must have been rare or a corporate Christmas gift!! We need that new James Bond movie to release!!! Break up this covid madness with some 007!
All is well in my neck of the Florida woods. Covid is a serious threat, but Kensurfs wielding a DE blade near the face is a close second. 😂. Glad you quickly healed from that unfortunate slice. Thanks for the videos!
Hi Ken, Sadly heard the passing of Jill Snoddon (Aug 9, 2020) from "She Shaves with Jill" channel. She mentions your name very often, looks like she may have watched and learned a great deal from your channel... Will you do a tribute video?
@@kensurfs glad to hear that Ken. She was a community shaver as well as a retired Marine. For her service to her Country alone she deserves a tribute shave. God bless Ken, and may she rest in peace.
I’ve been looking forward to this video since you mentioned it in the VB Emperor Meiji video, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed! I forgot to mention that I had never seen a James Bond movie until after I started watching your channel (and got caught up). All your cutscenes, information, and trivia got me to start watching (I’m going in chronological order) and just finished The Man with the Golden Gun. Also glad to see the return of Floris no.89, don’t see too much of it on the channel, and I still haven’t pulled the trigger on that for myself yet 😅
Sup Ken good vid as always I can’t remember watching goldeneye I’ll be sure to watch it sometime soon but I like “Tomorrow never dies” of him where he controls the BMW with the device.
Oh I did that recently instead of the edge of the blade I got the blade corner.....a nice long deep bloody scratch on my right cheek thats healing up hope it won't leave a scar.
Great video Ken. In regards to the watches. It's my understanding that Rolex never paid for any sponsorship to the Bond franchise. In the earlier films, Connery and Moore used Rolex watches owned and loaned by the producers. There was then sponsorship from Seiko in the latter Moore films, and with Bronsan until now in the Craig era, Omega paid for their product placement. As we know, the real Bond wore Rolex.
Great shave. I tried the Gillette Nacet today and it was a hit-and-miss for me. With that, I’m done with blade samples, and now I finally get to decide which blade to stick with long-term. I’m hunting down a vintage Gillette in local antique stores in my area. I hope I find one with luck that I have
I started shaving with a Gillette sensor. Probably better than the fusion which was the last cartridge razor I used. I am a recent DE wet shave convert.
I was just playing goldeneye on Nintendo 64 lol. I was feeling nostalgic today.
one of my all time video games
One of the best games of all time!
That’s my shit! I’m into retro gaming too, and thinking about getting the Raspberry Pi 4 pre loaded with games... Check it out on TH-cam if you never heard of it
Dude Perfect8 awesome
One of the all time classic video games.
Old but gold 😉

The Sensor was a great razor and the martini glass is a great addition to the 007 James Bond Shave.
RIP Jill
I'm a longtime Bond fan, and Sean Connery is the quintessential Bond imho. However, Goldeneye is arguably the best Bond movie in the franchise. Highly classified shave, Ken.

Hi Ken, great video, 007 I really like it too, congratulations also for the razor and the watch.👍😉👋👋👋🇮🇹

Great shave Ken. RIP Jill.
Great tribute shave! Goldeneye is always very nostalgic for me, growing up in the 90’s, I was always playing the N64 version. Thanks for a fun video, and securing the detailed props.

What a great video Ken! Thank you for helping me in my wet shave journey. I watch you at least once a day!
👍👍💈💈
I probably mentioned it before, but Goldeneye was the first ever James Bond movie I ever saw.
One of the higher form classes back in school was having a fundraiser and they played the movie.
Fell in love with the franchise then and there.
Goldeneye is my favorite Bond movie, probably in part due to it being the first one I ever saw/ being a kid when the video game was big. Well done.
I also played Goldeneye 007 on N64 back in the 1990s. In fact, I still have the game! That's a really cool looking Gillette Sensor!
Goldeneye is my favourite James Bond movie of all time and Pierce Brosnan was my favourite Bond. But you’re right it did get a bit hokey after Goldeneye.
Goldeneye was my first Bond movie, love it immensely to this day. Thank you for the front line shoutout as well!

👍👍👍
Great video. Love the themed shaves!
Never clicked so fast on a video before!
RektDynamic thank you. Hope you enjoy the video👍👍

"It's bond,, james bond" my favorite character from 19es.. 👍 👍 👍 nice and slick ken....👍👍👍

Love this Ken. I believe Goldeneye ended the longest drought of Bond films (six years) in the history of the series.
Yep👍👍👍
You can still buy the Sensor Excel razor here. I’ll have to get mine out and give it a go again. That gold one is spectacular
Nice shave Ken love your Bond tribute shaves it takes me back my brother had the n64 and the game. boy that was a great video game.
Have a great week.

Great video! I enjoy James Bond movies as well. Was the Gillette sensor a two blade. I used one but can't remember.
Hey Ken, I’m happy to see you finally got everything together for this shave.
I can see how much you enjoyed it.
Very good tribute shave, yes, it is a very good movie, that is a nice Sensor. I like the Martini glass. I did not know that after that they used only Omega. 😁👍
The sensor is my favorite razor. I used it in college along with the Gillette can shaving cream.

My favorite Bond film and Goldeneye 64 was one of the greatest video games I've ever played.
For England, Ken?

No Red point ,you are the best for my💈🙏👍
Finally we get to know what prop you waited for

How did the cartridge sensor excel compare to a regular safety razor?
Best cartridge ever.
👍👍
All is well in my neck of the Florida woods. Covid is a serious threat, but Kensurfs wielding a DE blade near the face is a close second. 😂. Glad you quickly healed from that unfortunate slice. Thanks for the videos!
Great shave, great movie, great watch, great Kensurfs. Love it. From Gibraltar scene on the first Timothy Dalton bond film. Cheers mate.
whats your opinion of the scent of the TOBS grapefruit ?
Ken, what is the difference between a Sensor and a Sensor Excel? I have one that looks like that but not in gold.
Great shave, Ken!

Sadly heard the passing of Jill Snoddon (Aug 9, 2020) from "She Shaves with Jill" channel.
She mentions your name very often, looks like she may have watched and learned a great deal from your channel...

Nice shave a good theme. Have you heard from Nickshaves, I bought the Merkur 34c because of Nick. Big influence to my shaving.
