      Android's always-on-display mostly drain 5-7% of battery for like 22hrs. I assumed iPhones would do a better job at it, since they waited a long time before adding that feature.

      @danteerskine7678 a proper aod doesn't have static pixels that could burn in, the image moves around to prevent that.
      Also aods don't use much power because at any moment 90% of the OLED pixels aren't even powered on.
      And if you look at the images of burn-in on the iPhone, you will see that it's UI elements like the keyboard that get burn, it's nothing to with the always-on display feature!

No heating issues, no glass breaking issues even though I’ve dropped it multiple times without a case (though it is scratched a little on the corner now) and no screen issues. Actually, Apple has a love-hate relationship with this channel but with this particular instance, it is immediately brought Apple back to the drawing board include now they claim that the new iOS 17.1 will eliminate overheating as well as screen burning. However, I don’t believe it and I’ll have to see it. I think they’re trying everything possible to prevent having to have an iPhone recall And then re-issue new phones with a different type of screen. That would be the biggest iPhone blender in the history of iPhone. I’m also convinced that it’s an odd number phone and being superstitious this could be the other reason.

    Funny thing is it's not even the display fault this time, just a software issue. It's technically not burn-in problem and just a bug making it look like burn-in. Apparently they're fixing it with 17.1, my guess is the always display on is glitched to be always on and makes a screen fade and not go away

    • @TheNoodlePan
      @TheNoodlePan ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be interesting to see if there is color compensation that can cancel out the burn-in, or even detect the image burned. That sounds deranged, where did you get it?

      Once no company would release a phone with the blase attitude 'we can fix it in post' which seems to be what's happened with this version of Iphone. A software fix won't help with its ability to snap its back glass at the drop of a hat.

    I probably should have heard of this through other channels, but... Burn-in? Really? Who makes these displays? 🤔 I've been using OLED phones and tablets since the Galaxy S2, and never seen even the slightest burn-in (though that S2 looks very green by now, and doesn't always turn on 😂). Is LG making these panels? Or is Samsung trolling Apple?

    Goodness, during the event, i was really hyped on the 15 pro max. I really wanted to switched from android to apple because of the usb c. But, when i go to the malls here in Philippines, its not available yet and i walked by the samaung store, they have a promo for the s23 ultra where you get a watch and earbuds for free. I could not resist the temptation so me and my partner grab 2 s23 ultra and not waited for an iPhone which cost almost 1,700 USD here and with added features, an always on display which nobody would like seeing.

    I have an OLED Samsung and I have never had burn in and the fact that this is happening suddenly with a new iPhone 15 means that there's a defect in the production and it is Apple's responsibility

      You can't fix burn-in though an update. Once an image is burned in, it's burned in! The only fix is a recall to swap the display!

    • @Twisted-uc3nh
      @Twisted-uc3nh ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not actual burn in. It's a bug that showed the apps "burnt-in" but it wasn't burn in hence they have fixed it in the new update. If it was legit burn in obviously they couldnt fix it. So how come they have fixed it?@@LRM12o8

    • @ky314
      @ky314 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@LRM12o8it’s not burn-in. It’s a software issue where the data isn’t being cleared properly from the graphics buffers. As proof, those “burned-in” phones would look perfectly fine if they simply reset their OS to factory state.
