Hi. Courtney is amazing. I don't know what it is, but when Courtney performs live, she just elevates her already spectacular talent exponentially. She has this unbelievable ability to infuse so much energy and emotion into the music and it's just like it washes over her audience in waves. An incredible adrenaline rush. No greater live performer in music. Pair it with her unmatched vocals, and you create a mind boggling musical experience. Her concerts are going to be insane. Once she starts touring, and word spreads about how fabulous she is on stage, her concerts are going to be the 'in' place everyone wants to be. People will be fighting for tickets. Her shows are going to become legendary. Don't know what the issue was with the lyrics. Heard many other reactors repeat them almost verbatim on a first listen. Maybe better headphones???? In any case, on any Courtney original, you have to pay attention to the lyrics, or look them up if you have to. She has become such a powerhouse as a songwriter, and never any fluff. Too many artists will say any nonsense that might fit the music, but Courtney's lyrics always tell a great story, and always have such depth and meaning. Each song she releases always have some lines that could be considered classics. In the last verse of 'Jagged', she even pays tribute to Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin. Little bit of an update.. Courtney has said that the first singles from her new album will begin dropping very early next year, with the album to follow. They decided not to start dropping the singles this year during the holidays when everyone would be focused on other things, which makes perfect sense. She also said that she has created a lot of content that she will be sharing with us on TH-cam over the interim, until the first album single drops. This is the second of three live versions of her original songs that she has shared, as part of that content. She also dropped a live version of 'Call Me Back' and 'Christmas Rocks' in the last couple of weeks, which are equally sensational. There is so much rawness and emotion in 'Call Me Back', that it rips your heart out every time you hear it and 'Christmas Rocks' just demands that you move with it. Both would make great reactions, and are available on Courtney's TH-cam channel. She will be dropping a live version of her gritty ballad, 'Breakable' on the 27th. Also, as to be expected, there are live shows and some touring being planned for after the drop of her album. As part of the prep for that, Courtney is putting together her band. So, here (and on the other live versions), we are seeing Courtney introduce her band for the first time. They are who Courtney will be touring with post album drop. Lots more to come.
It is a short song. Courtney has said she just did Jagged for fans, and it probably won't even be on her album. Also, I like when you said she is the exception to the rules, because she is. Here's something to know about Courtney's long-term fans--they often feel parentally protective of her. That's why they can seem overreactive to perceived criticism. Back in her AGT days when Courtney was only13-14, she got unparalleled Internet bullying for just totally fictional, off-the-wall stuff, like calling her a sociopath, a faker and even attacking her parents for no rational cause--basically a shy child being irrationally attacked by mostly adults! It likely contributed to her only finishing in 6th place. Courtney's fan reaction was so vociferous that the accuser population died down, often warning others with something like 'You better not criticize Courtney Hadwin or it won't be pretty for you!' So, older fans can be a bit oversensitive, even when the criticism has a discernable basis. One last thing: Courtney is exceptionally good to her fans. She is very humble and appreciative. She does respond to many comments, and she even has periodic phone calls with some of her bigger fans.
Thank you! You got right on my suggestion and did a great job! I gave your reaction to Old Town Road 👍 for honesty, so don't obsess over people being "too hard" if you're going to say what you think, because they will too. Another thing you don't have to worry about is Courtney Hadwin and copyrights. If you had trouble over Old Town Road, any of the other 3 "live cover" songs from 2019, AGT, or The Voice UK, that was with her old label or the contest shows, not Courtney. She's independent now. Not only hasn't anybody had any trouble with her 6 original songs she release in the last 2 years, but she occasionally finds out about a reaction and thanks them for the exposure. A new version of her first original from almost 2 years ago, Breakable, made in the same studio, Metropolis, featuring the pianist and lead guitarist from the band, on Friday. They also appeared in the new version of Call Me Back she released this year and are credited with video editing. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
@@prakaklef sorry if I mispronounced your name. I agree I say my honest opinion and so I think everybody in the comment section should as well. But I did feel bad because all my reactions to Courtney have been very positive and the old town Road one didn’t represent how I felt about her as an artist. I didn’t want people to think that I didn’t love her as an artist and appreciate the fact that she is doing something different unlike all the other artists on the radio. Merry Christmas! Brett
@@HarmonyandHeadlocksReactions That's another thing not to worry about, it's just a screen name and it's a Galactican word spelled backwards, obscure reference nevermind.
Check out Courtney monsters another one of her originals I've never heard of one of Courtney's originals being blocked only what she was singing when she was under contract she is now a independent thanks
Reason for some not thrilled at times with reactions is due to not being aware and spitting out opinions that others read or watch and assume your opinions are either facts or probably truth about an artist they've only spent a very small amount of time learning about. Fans in general want others to find out what they know too. So when a reaction video especially comes across as knowing or suggesting their opinions knowing about them it gets fans aggravated that they are in some way spreading negative opinions about them. So here's some basic info on her career. That has been told on a few of your channels already. Yes, Courtney rocked out on AGT and was considered the next Janis by many. Sign by Simon's label she fell into bad timing when Covid hit, producers not knowing how to promote her due to being hooked on selling POP princesses these days. Courtney would not change who she was. Then her labeled got sold and she ended up being put in limbo until her contract was done. She was not happy with how things went down for those 4 years with labels. When she could she went independent in 2023 and has done everything a label was suppose to do on her own. She has hooked up with a known producer/song writer/engineer Kevin Bowe who worked out a deal to only work with her only to get a 50/50 split of the music he records with her. He loves her and believes she will be the next super star if given the chance. She works as hard as everyone put together singing, recording, marketing, searching out for the right people to support her future. Just put together that band to start touring this year coming. Release 5 new songs and a few other original videos with a complete new original album to be out probable soon after new years. She tries hard not to be put in a box that people like to put her in. Yes, she's kills it performing everytime on a stage. She perform at Carnegie Hall for the 1st time live since AGT and was a huge hit singing a Janis Joplin song for the well known Clive Davis 92nd birthday. All her lyrics are about all she has endured over her musically career since 9 until 20. She's self made. Her singing style is reminiscent of early 60's and 70's style so at times it can be hard to understand her lyrics which is part of what makes her music so interesting. In the day's when rock was king "Lyrics" was not the focus for many listeners. So most fan of hers don't pay mind to what today's obsessions are with clear focus on lyrics. We do like her stories though and we always find out what she has to say. She will usually post a lyric version of her originals. I've said enough. But there is so much more that new fans of her should go find out. She is a very special artist that most who know of certainly feel she will become huge. Even the famous artists who have had the opportunity to see her are extremely impressed with her.
I know that you've reacted to That Girl Don't Live Here, but you've gotta check out her other originals too. Breakable, Call Me Back, Monsters & Christmas Rocks. She, independent, she wants the exposure and she will not block. You may even get some feedback from her too.
