Both you have that awareness. So many people have no idea what we are witnessing . Keep in mind i am not even talking about the music, the artistry is what i am talking about. Hers is of the rarest kind. Artists like her can't real be compared to others. To compare her to other singer/song writers wouldn't be fare to them. To see that most would have to put all the music stuff aside to see just her. If you watch the videos of her just talking "interviews, her being social, etc" it's easy to see she is highly intelligent, with intelligent common sense. No matter what she chose to do she would be great at it. Her work will always be new kind of different. She is not just a singer/song writer, she just happen to love singing & writing songs. I have always been a lyric freak (i have read way over 1000 songs, including all of Princes) . Many times i sit and read over 100 songs she has written/cowritten every time i just can't believe it. I mean when we speak of original, her words are perfect example. The musical arrangements have their own originality. And get this, for most of my life her type of voice was classified as a "not a good singing voice". Back in the day people with a voice like hers didn't even get a chance, there is so few with different kind of voices singing (makes music really boring). She is showing a person doesn't have to be perfect to be one of the greatest.

I may be wrong, but music videos tend to be EXPENSIVE, so many singer-songwriters, especially independents trying to be professional about their career, have to push off making a music video until they've recovered from the costs of professional producers, musicians, and all the costs associated with creating and releasing the track. I think a lyric vid does a good job, especially if it's got a background of shots/clips from cover photo shoot, which is ANOTHER expense before you can release track. DANELIYA does a GREAT job on both crafting and singing this track! Love it!

JFla sang Torn really well. She has a very nice vibrato, and her vocal runs were fluid. Love it when she head bops to the beat of the song.

You're not gonna remember this but I recommended a song you reacted to that was sung by J Fla called Bad Liar by Imagine Dragons. See, I knew you wouldn't remember 😆 She sung this one really well. Her pronunciation could use some improvement, but I understood most of what she said. I loved the "Ooh" run she did which wasn't breathy sounding, but nice and clear.

Angelina Jordan sang the song as only she knows how. I'm not a fan the vocal fry style of singing, but it somehow worked well in this particular song. Loved how Angelina attacks the high notes in the song with confidence, and even sustaining them with excellent breath control. Also loved her runs which were fluid and connected.
