For sure. That's exactly what I find the most irritating about Pantera reactions. Multiple albums of wall to wall bangers and everyone mainly just requests the same tiny handful of music videos over and over. Maybe they get hammered with copyright. I dunno.
I wish the rest of their work would get more attention. Along with Rebel Meets Rebel. Underrated album.

@@ForcesOfTheAbyss Intuitive my ass. Hey smart ass, not all hip hop and rap and its genres have rhythm. Some do some don’t. And not every rapper listens to just rap or likes any music (there’s a million genres, sub gwnres and micro genres with rythm)
Further more, these people or couple .. whatever the hell they are, are idiots. Screaming mid range or high and even yelling in tune and with some sort of “melody” or harmony has been around for the longest. Hard rock, and metal from the 60’s , 70’s and 80’s all did that. As well as acid rock from the late 60’s and mid 70’s. Even big Mama Thorton to Husker Du and Fugazi screamed and yelled in tune and Melody and Harmony… Pantera weren’t doing anything new. They just slowed down 80’s thrash metal and added classic metal to their shit. That’s all. That’s groove metal. It’s not hard to comprehend or pinpoint.

It's always bittersweet to see people react to Pantera for the first time knowing dimebag and vinnie are no longer with us.
Pantera broke up in 2001 due to issues between the singer Phil and the abbot Brothers, guitar player Darrel "Dimebag Darrel" Abbot and drummer Vinnie Paul Abbot.
The abbot Brothers went on to form a new band DamagePlan but Dimebag was murdered on stage (along with three others)by a mentally ill fan at a concert in Columbus, Ohio in 2004.
Vinnie Paul obviously never got over witnessing his brother be murdered right in front of him, he died of coronary heart disease in 2018.
Two years ago Singer Phil Anselmo(now clean and sober) and bassist Rex Brown began performing again as Pantera with guitarist Zakk Wylde(Black Label society and Ozzy Osbourne) and drummer Charlie Benante(Anthrax) filing in for the tour.

Les Paul is credited w/ building the first electric guitar... the iconic Les Paul Gibson guitar was named after him. The early guitars would make extra noises and feedback due to the mics of that era and guitar technology would improve vastly in the 1950's and 1960's.
There were a number of guitarists in the 60's that perfected the playing of electric guitar w/ distortion... Eric Clapton... Pete Townshend... George Harrison... Keith Richards ... Dave Davies... Link Wray... Jeff Beck ... Chuck Berry...
But Jimi Hendrix would be the 1 guitarist who took electric guitar playing to a whole new level of creative freedom in the 60's.
Dimebag Darrell was especially talented, playing guitar as a kid in Texas after becoming a fan of the rock band Kiss in the 70's... he emulated their lead guitarist Ace Frehley... He formed Pantera in the early 80's w/ his brother Vinnie Paul (drums) and they played the local scene for years before Pantera became a heavier, more aggressive extreme metal band by 1990.
Dimebag's guitar playing was out of this world; he could shred... play something simple like 'Walk'... and something acoustic or subtle (like Pantera's cover of 'Planet Caravan' by Black Sabbath)
It was a terrible loss when he was murdered in late 2004 by a deranged mass shooter... His brother Vinnie Paul passed away in 2018.

Guitar is all about frequency, vibe, and Melody y'all. You throw your beat Vibe on top of a badass guitar riff, you'll win a lot of metalheads to you❤

A good black friend of mine is the singer of a metal band in my hometown, he said as soon as he heard rock and metal music he decided that was actual music not rap. Because there's actual music in there he said.

Saw Pantera in 1995 with White Zombie… Deftones and The Toadies opened. Great show. Cedar Rapids Iowa. Pantera kills it every time!

Great reaction to a song that literally created a new Sub Genre of metal.. groove metal. Pantera. Walk put them on the radar and on top for the next two decades. Dimebag Darrell was the greatest metal guitarists in music history, as far as technicality and soul. I'm shocked that the breakdown in "DOMINATION" has never been sampled by a rap artist.

I got to see them at Cardi's Club in Houston with local metal band Helstar in 1984. Then again in 1996 at the Summit (the venue is a church now!). In '96 Pantera headlined with White Zombie opening for them. Pantera was the best metal band there was. They brough the swing! RIP Dime and Vinnie Paul.

Cemetary Gates, Cowboys from Hell, Demolition, F*ckin Hostile- all by Pantera. First concert I ever saw was in Detroit in 1999 and it was Black Sabbath and Pantera. I've seen many great shows but that one has never been beaten.
