Right! my 2020 M1 MacBook Air is a beast! I will be getting the 16 inch M4 Max MacBook Pro because it can handle two apple studio displays and I need all the screen space I can get for work!
No need to wait. They will probably remove more performance cores in m4 pro, like they did in m2 and m3 pros. So you would get less performant but more power efficient laptop for the same price! Apple is a scambags!
there is no problems with the current macbook pro design. maybe a little heavy pending which model. but they are still the best on the market, especially if you are like me and are not a gamer
Same here. I tried to deal with windows for the longest. I'm not a gamer, just produce beats and do video editing. Windows would work, sometimes it would lag. I finally got a macbook m3 max, now I'm pissed I didn't do this sooner! I'm a Fan Boy now!
This is the gaming Mac. Finally. Sheesh, it took a long enough time, but this is why Apple dumped scads of money on the Blender Foundation. "Fix the graphics!" Apple said. Blender said, "Here ya go." a week later. Then TSMC said, "Oh shoot, we got new stuff for you." Three times they said this. Actually, they have another idea, 2nm, but apparently Apple said, "Not yet, ship the M4 already!" and off she goes.
M3 will get cheaper when m4 comes out… if you don’t game and are not video editing heavily… m3 will be more than you need… I use a base model m1 MacBook Air. It’s nails
Almost ordered a top-end M3 Max MacBook Pro, but with M4 rumored to be so close, there's no harm in waiting a month or two. We know that the neural engine built into the M4 will support Apple Intelligence, but does this same neural engine help speed up other AI and LLM uses? Specifically on-machine AI support.
Wait, what you use it for? I'm a freelance logo designer and currently looking for more work to help me afford one MacBook Pro too, do you love to have a logo for your business or some artwork for your decoration?
M4 Mac Mini most interests me as a replacement for my M2 MacBook Pro. For me, a mobile computer needs to have both a touch display with stylus support and a desktop class operating system which rules out both Apple MacBooks and iPad Pros. Consequently, I now use a Windows 11 Tablet PC as my mobile computing device which works great. I still have a need for a Mac OS device, and this should be more than satisfied by the Mac Mini. Iam not sure whether to go for M4 Vs M4 Pro processor, so I will need to review specs, but I want at least 32GB RAM and 1TB storage as per my Windows tablet PC. The later cost was half the price of my M1 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2TB model with magic keyboard and is significantly more useful, as is not stuck in a closed system of mostly mediocre smart phone apps!
I plan on picking up a MacBook soon. It will be my first MacBook. The question I have is if the performance and features increase between an M3 pro chip, and an M4 chip, will be worth waiting for the new lineup, or should I just go ahead and purchase an M3 pro MacBook Pro?
The M4 iPad uses modules with a 6 GB RAM capacity, similar to what is in the M3 Pro and MAX. However, they only put 4GB in them at the factory before they were shipped to TSMC. The implication is that Apple intends to have the full 6GB in these 6GB RAM modules for the M4 in the MB Air and MB Pro 14.
Ming Chi Kuo has a very good accuracy record. Here's the thing that makes long-term rumors hard. Apple is working on a LOT of stuff and very little of it ever gets released. Foldables are popular right now, even if just in the media. Apple would be dumb not to be investing time into it, but it remains to be seen if that is a real form factor people will want. Right now, it's on track for a 2026 release if it makes sense to release. We'll see how that shapes up!
@@AppleInsider very good accuracy, but only if you ignore all the things he's gotten wrong and changed his mind over 😂 He's made a career over getting gullible people to think he's informed when he's literally just guessing, changes his mind constantly, and is wrong most of the time. And no, foldables are super niche and not worth Apple's time and effort, period. The vast majority of consumers do not want a phone that's more fragile for no real advantage.
I disagree on Kuo's reputation. He's pretty darn reliable. Of course he "changes" his mind, but things also change. It's not that he necessarily changes his mind as Apple does. That of course can hurt is reputation. Right now he sits at roughly 80%+ accurate in what he's said. Considering some of his predictions are years ahead of time. As far as the phone goes, I totally agree with you that most people don't need them. But what can happen is that Apple can look stagnant while other companies like Google and Samsung are "experimenting" and "innovative" which can improve their brand reputation and buoy sales of their other devices. Sometimes it is worth investing in a crazy project in an attempt to show how skilled you are, even if most people opt for the far cheaper device. Not to mention... I'm not talking about phones here. We're talking laptops which I think is a very different market and can have a lot of benefits to a folding display while still keeping reliability and durability at that form factor.
@@AppleInsider yeah of course you think he's reliable 😂 the rest of us are actually impartial and see thru the revisionist history. And a laptop is literally already foldable 😂 it's sad y'all are this dumb just for clicks and watch time

Gonna be keeping my M2 Max 16" MBP until they upgrade to Tandem OLED as that is all I really care about tbh. I only really need the higher level of performance when working in my office where it is hooked up to a monitor 99% of the time anyway. I should probably go with a Mac Mini but they don't offer the specs I need annoyingly and the Mac Studio is too overpriced with little performance difference and I totally lose all portability options with it so the 16" MBP is the best overall option for me currently. If they were to release a Mac Mini with the option to put 128GB RAM and the Max CPU in it I would for sure get that over a new MBP but I can't see that happening as I am sure many would do the same as me and get that over a MBP 😁
