Your videos are fantastic. Great detail. I admire you for getting the PDK. Can you please reply to this comment or in another video what rpm the engine is at when the cruise is set to 70 mph. I heard that Porsche just changed the ratio of 7th gear to be closer to 6th gear for the GT4 only and left lesser 718's with the standard taller 7th gear.
Great video! For the record I believe the weight difference between the 981 GT4 and 718 GT4 is much closer than the stated figures from Porsche. Sounds odd right? But it's to do with a European rule change in what specification/configuration a car can officially be weighed and officially reported i.e. it cannot, for instance, be with all the light options like carbon bucket seats or ceramic brakes etc... Nevertheless, the 718 GT4 does weigh a bit more (reportedly 30kg) due to OPF filters, larger engine and the new more extensive aero. Looking forward to the next video.
Hi Daniel, my Cayman GTS 4.0 PDK is still delayed until mid-July, but I'm getting stuff for it in the meantime (like the GT4 PDK shifter which looks way nicer than the standard PDK shifter :-). And just like you, I'm a bit OCD-ish about the most minute details in the spec, hence I opted for things like black brake calipers (car is Jet Black metallic), alcantara sunvisors (to match the alcantara ceiling) and standard silver wheel caps (on the GTS they are in colour)... One thing I hadn't thought about though is the monochromatic Porsche crest on the front lid - can you tell me where you got hold of that? I sure would love to replace the coloured crest with this to keep the black/grey/satin platinum colour scheme intact! B.r. Mark
There are a few sellers I think. But this one I found on EBay. I think the seller was “interestedparty”. There are many for $20 that are just painted but this one is machined and touched up to look good. $170 I think
Lots of dust particles under many panels. Corners lifting/bubbling up. Bad job on seams near license plate. They have not addressed it and have a small claps court date set.
@@JetFuelOnly Did a reputable shop do the work? I’m getting my black GTS in April and plan to do the Stealth wrap, too. I’m searching for a good installer here in the DC area.
@@JetFuelOnly Make sure you get the rear end links before taking it out on the track, it will make the rear end more stable at speed. Why Porsche puts struts F & R on a $100K GT car is beyond me.
Sorry I think I used the wrong word, English is not my native language, what I meant is that although you are very happy and proud of your car which is great I feel you did not do justice to the 981 model. By listening to your video i felt that 981 is a crap car. Maybe you could have mentioned some of the characteristics if the 981 that are not in the 718 such as the exhaust sound which everybody prefers over the 718 and the styling you could have mentioned that YOU prefer it over the 981 however there are many who prefers the 981 and this is subjective, hence you need to consider your viewers opinions. That is to clarify my comment which was a bit harsh but did not mean it. I like your videos I just felt i needed to make this comment but should have explained myself better. Cheers

If you hunger for straight-line performance, go for the RS3; I'm running mid-tens with a tune and some bolt-ons. And the slushbox comes standard ;)
