I’m 73 going to be 74 years old I had that same dresser or make up dresser when I was a little girl my mother had bought it for me. Thank you for doing a beautiful job and for bringing back beautiful memories thank you.
My grandmother had the entire set of this furniture, including, beds, dressing table, mirris, stool, armoire, dresser and night stands. I love it all. Went to another relative who lost it all in a house fire!😢
I absolutely love what You did with a stinky eyesore and turned it into a BEAUTIFUL AND STUNNING PIECE OF ART!!! You can really see the love, care and determination that You had to bring this back to it’s FORMAL BEAUTY!!! You did and do FANTASTIC WORK AND ARE A TRUE ARTIST!!! Thank You for sharing Your talents with Us. 😊👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️❤️❤️👋🏼
I’m in awe of you! You’re so meticulous, patient, persistent, artistic, talented, knowledgeable, AND pleasant! Your cats and bunnies are delightful. You’re amazing.
Your artistic sensibility is SO satisfying. Not only are you great with wood repairs, refinishing techniques and products, and hardware restoration, your ability to color match and your dedication to doing it make your pieces stand out to me.
Angie! I could tell by your accent that you are Canadian, but so delightfully surprised that you are in the Valley! I'm in Switzerland but love so much seeing an artist from my neck of the woods! I actually got a little emotional when I saw the final result. I was imagining the people who owned that piece over the years and how happy they would be to see how you gave it such a stunning new life! I especially love the woodwork on the middle drawer. Lovely work!! ❤
I'm always so impressed by how you make old and worn furniture come alive. I've watched others who restore furniture, but you are in a league of your own. 😇
I do a lot of full restorations but sometimes a bit of paint on lesser quality wood (and especially plastic laminate coated wood, or Formica) can keep something structurally sound from being tossed just because it’s a bit rough or dated cosmetically. But I like to restore certain woods whenever possible. 🙂
You are a for-real miracle worker and a true artist!! This is one of the most beautiful transformations I’ve ever seen!! Also, I’m so glad Nacho has a little intern and best friend!!😍❤️🐈😘
As a lefty, I loved the writer’s history worn into your beautiful desk. I watch a lot of restoration channels, but your work is always the most authentic. Thank you!
Angie, you have created another restored masterpiece. I love the dark stain over a lighter one. It gives the desk a regal air, which is befitting of such a noble piece. I was happy that you were able to reuse the hardware on the drawers and use the magnetic latches for the doors. Overall a stunning transformation ! One hundred thumbs up. 👍 Cheers from the Finger Lakes of New York. 🍷 🍷
I love you for this. I'm an Art Deco nut, and I had to stop watching other "restoration" videos when they'd totally cannibalize the original into something "updated" and unrecognizable. It broke my heart. This makes my heart soar. It's GORGEOUS. You're so respectful and resourceful. Subscribed! 👏🏻🤙🏻
@@TranscendFurnitureGallery I haven't done anything like this in a long time but I love it. This looks great. There are newer products out now, would like to get back into it. Thanks. 😁
That was a superb and educated restoration of a beautiful piece of furniture, the original owner would be delighted to see this, bringing into another century of use, congratulations on your superior work.
I think you do Art Deco better than almost anyone! Although you make everything I have watched you do beautiful, it seems to me that is your forte! I love to watch your work. I also find your voice so very soothing…love to listen to you talk. You abre very good at what you do and getting better with every piece!
I do not know why watching you work so hard is so relaxing to me, but it is and I love your channel because of it. TY for bringing life back to these treasures.
@@TranscendFurnitureGalleryI also really appreciated this. The original pulls are beautiful and many people would have replaced them because they were not a full set. The solution you came up with saved the original pulls while still being functional.
Bloody STUNNING Angie!! What an inspired idea to add the push latches on the cupboard doors. It looks so clean and so much better than the original. You’re colour matching and grain pattern matching are immaculate every time. Superb! 😀❤️
If we could press the like button over and over. Bravo!!! She is a great artist. I have learned so much from watching her videos. She is the QUEEN of furniture restoration and making it so much more beautiful than the original when it was brand new.
I'm generally against push-latches (they're usually a cheap cop-out from finding appropriate hardware)...but the reasoning behind using them in this instance was perfection! It allowed you to use the original, beautiful hardware and actually emphasized the verticality of the cabinet veneer. Gorgeously done faux bois work, as well!!!
I love how you adapted to the issue of only having 4 handles. I admire that you didn't just go buy something similar and replace them. Spring-loaded desk cabinets have a special place in my heart.
I'm not a big fan of the light wood trend and can't wait to see the pendulum swing back the other way again, so luxuriant dark wood pieces like these are my candy. But love dark wood or not I think we all can agree It's beautiful!
You have magic hands! Everything you touch turns into beauty. New kitty is gorgeous and Nacho is such a treasure! Keep up turning landfill pieces into beauties! Love watching your work 😂
I have seen many furniture flippers on TH-cam. But Angie is absolutely the best! She doesn't just paint furniture. She transforms them into masterpieces. Salut!
What a gorgeous transformation! I can't believe those doors - not a trace of the holes from the hardware! And the hardware looks brand new. Your meticulous artistry is inspiring, as always.
That looks like so much fun! I hope to have my own workroom one day 😍 I’m a seamstress so I need a sewing space, and I’d like to go back to drawing as a part of therapy. I’d also like to have my own acu screwdriver so I can do some repairs around the flat. It made so happy to see another woman just living her dream, repairing old furniture and giving it new life. Thank you so much! ❤ edit: I had to grab my chest at the end because its SOOO BEAUTIFUL! WOOOOOW ❤❤❤❤❤ I love the darker, warmer colours so much 😭❤️

Just absolutely magnificent Angie. I love art deco, having moved to Miami years ago. You’ve done this piece proud. I also dig that it was a nice long video. The longer your videos the more I like them. Hoping you’ll transform more art deco pieces. This one was monumental. Congratulations on your new kitty.

I do so love that you restore these gracious old ladies while still carrying out subtle updates. The folks fortunate enough to procure these gems for their homes are getting the very best. Another masterpiece, Angie. Beautiful.
I have no issue with people doing that. This would be hard to sell because it's not usable as a desk. It's a vanity, so only a vanity bench can be used. It’s only 27” high. It’s why so many of these end up in the trash. If a piece can be reused as nightstands instead being useless and discarded, I’m all for that.
I'm not surprised by the amount of comments you have received on this piece. We are collectively blown away not only by your skills as a furniture refinisher but also by your immense talent as an artist! Amazing🤩❤
Hi Angie! Freya and Nacho are adorable together. Maybe Willow is just being a snooty girl?! The vanity turned out nicely. Good solution for the missing hardware. Cheers! 😺💞
No Willow is just much slower to come around, she's not really even a fan of Nacho. Willow and Willie are very close and he's the only cat she really cares about. Thanks so much for watching!
This is phenomenal! Not a detail was spared from getting every oddity cleaned off to hole filling and blending them in. It's like watching an art in itself!
I don't usually comment, but wow! The skill and patience you have to bring this piece back to beautiful is mindblowing to me. I was thrilled that you stayed true to the era it was made in and I think you made a great choice for the stain color.
I do not find this boring at all! I think the pieces you have salvaged are all beautifully done! Not too many people out there that do such lovely work!

The colours and patterns you brought out in the wood were gorgeous and really enhanced the art deco- ness! I hope we see a lot of Freya - she could model the furniture for you! 🐱
This is one of the most incredible restorations I've seen on your channel. It started out so rough and ended up absolutely stunning. I'm completely floored.
When I first saw this piece I thought that even if you cleaned it up and refinished it I would think it was too old fashioned, out of style, and I wouldn’t like it. But it’s beautiful. I would love to have this piece in my home. It’s got a deep glossy finish, beautiful color and so updated and stylish. I’m impressed.
You have a gift for seeing beauty behind the damage. You’ve also acquired the skills to deal with the damage and enhance the beauty in the piece. This transformation shows an artist who’s come into their own. Brilliant work, Angie!
Yes! Without an artist’s eye for color to be able to see and know what materials are needed for the repairs, a restoration like this would be impossible.
I can only say is the art deco era is my all time favorite style. I’d have that piece in my home in a heartbeat. Turned out beautiful and the darker stain does it justice. Wonderful job!!
You absolutely worked magic on this one! It turned out gorgeous! I always am amazed when I watch you do the coloring tricks to make things match, like you did here to hide the filled holes on the doors. Perfect! 😁
You really brought this piece back to life. The original condition I judged to be lethal, but your restoration decisions, while they altered the piece, worked a miracle. I love the darker tone. It showcases the wood and implies well-cared-for aging.
Well it hasn't stopped raining here since June - we've had issues on the other end of the spectrum with flooding and washouts. What a weird summer Nova Scotia had!
Oh that is stunning. My grandmother (who would now be 114 if she was still around) had a vanity just like this. Seeing this one look exactly the way I remember seeing it as a kid was a fantastic experience. Beautiful work!
I'm convince that with today's finishing products that YOUR version is even more exquisite than the original. When you found the 3rd knob in the drawer I was convince you'ld put them on the drawers only. I can't see any evidence of the holes in the doors! I never tought of sealing between coats of stains... brilliant! The dark color was your best bet! This desk belongs in a President's office!
Astonishing. What I most admire about your work is the attention to the things no one will ever see. Wow. You could flip it upside down and it would still be beautiful. I say this every time but it bears repeating: You are an artist who works with wood.
This piece is timeless. Love the way you respected its true beauty. I recently purchased an old English desk and was not finding any video showing what you did. Everyone is chalkpainting everything! This will definitely be my inspiration so thanks for sharing!
Angie, as always, your videos are riveting. The intensive detail you pay to all the parts and pieces is amazing. I love the darker color. Rich and elegant. Fabulous job !
Awesome result! Quick tip when aligning anything sticky with double sided tape: Align it with the film on, now tape one side of it to the target, use the tape as a hinge to fold it up. Now remove the film and fold it back down, perfect alignment every time! (Also works with phone screen protectors) 🙃
Love the finished product! Like the darker color too. Watching you coloring the repaired areas, I felt I was watching an artist painting a canvas. Definitely an artist person.
You did a spectacular job on turning someone's trash into a beautiful show piece. I really enjoyed how you explained the whole process and how to correct the flaws and damage to the surface. Looking forward to your next video. Keep up the great work.
This might be my favorite piece of restoration youve done! Your attemtion to detail is so satisfying, your color matching over the patches is seamless, and the end result overall is simply gorgeous.

I'm so glad you like it, and I really appreciate your comment. Thank you so much!
Amazing i love the darker color, its just such a good save. And your new fur baby is adorable
Thank you kindly!
What a lovely piece!
Thank you! 😊
This piece is timeless. Love the way you respected its true beauty. I recently purchased an old English desk and was not finding any video showing what you did. Everyone is chalkpainting everything! This will definitely be my inspiration so thanks for sharing!
Wonderful! I'm so glad I could help! 😊
Absolutely love how the vanity turned out!
Thank you very much!

Angie, as always, your videos are riveting. The intensive detail you pay to all the parts and pieces is amazing. I love the darker color. Rich and elegant. Fabulous job !
Wow, thank you so much! I really appreciate that!
Beautiful job, Angie! Love that you found a way to keep the drawer pulls.
Thank you! 😊
Awesome result!
Quick tip when aligning anything sticky with double sided tape:
Align it with the film on, now tape one side of it to the target, use the tape as a hinge to fold it up.
Now remove the film and fold it back down, perfect alignment every time! (Also works with phone screen protectors) 🙃
Gorgeous wow
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for the beautiful restoration. This much-loved vanity deserved every little bit you put into it!
You're so welcome! 😀
Love the finished product! Like the darker color too. Watching you coloring the repaired areas, I felt I was watching an artist painting a canvas. Definitely an artist person.
Thank you kindly! 😃

This is in my top 5 of your projects. I would have loved seeing an upclose shot of the doors where you artistically filled the holes.
Agreed. It's spectacular.

You did a spectacular job on turning someone's trash into a beautiful show piece. I really enjoyed how you explained the whole process and how to correct the flaws and damage to the surface. Looking forward to your next video. Keep up the great work.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This might be my favorite piece of restoration youve done! Your attemtion to detail is so satisfying, your color matching over the patches is seamless, and the end result overall is simply gorgeous.
Thank you so much for watching!
