  • Today we're diving into something seriously epic-I just listened to "Bleeding Me" by Metallica and, let me tell you, it's blown my mind! 🤯
I've heard my fair share of Metallica tracks, but nothing prepared me for the emotional rollercoaster this song took me on. The depth, the raw emotion, the musicianship-it's all there. As of now, I'm calling it: this is the BEST Metallica song I've heard. Period.
In this video, I'll break down why "Bleeding Me" resonated with me so much. We'll talk about the lyrics, the incredible guitar work, and how this song stands out in Metallica's legendary catalog.
If you're a Metallica fan, or just someone who loves music that digs deep into the soul, you won't want to miss this reaction. Hit that like button, drop a comment, and don't forget to subscribe for more reactions and music insights!

It's not that it's bad it's just not thrash metal that they made sound not just good for metal music but unforgettable music in the history of all music. Those songs are always reacted today and people's mind ate blown. The load Era can be lost with all the other great 90s music that was being made at the time.

Load and Reload may not be Thrash metal, but they are definitely two of Metallica's heaviest albums. The content of the songs...the melodies...not to mention Newsted standing out on these albums so much.

This is from a 2001 interview that James Hetfield, one of the songwriters for Metallica and rhythm guitarist had to say about the song: "Around the time of Load, I felt I wanted to stop drinking. “Maybe I’m missing out on something. Everyone else seems so happy all the time. I want to get happy.” I’d plan my life around a hangover: “The Misfits are playing in town Friday night, so Saturday is hangover day.” I lost a lot of days in my life. Going to therapy for a year, I learned a lot about myself. There’s a lot of things that scar you when you’re growing up, you don’t know why. The song Bleeding Me is about that: I was trying to bleed out all bad, get the evil out. While I was going through therapy, I discovered some ugly stuff in there. A dark spot."
James went back to rehab back in October of 2019.

I was at their show in the Meadowlands at the start the 72 seasons tour. Dude next to me got up and left when the load songs came on. I asked him the next night and he said he hated anything black album and later. Left early on night 2 also. Bro spent 500 bucks to listen to 5 songs each night then bounce. One of the biggest hallmarks of Metallica is the fact that with every single album, and almost every song, they subvert expectations and show you something new, different, and interesting. You may or may not like what they show you, but it's always at least interesting and different.
Another big hallmark of Metallica's music is not only their innovative and dynamic approach to playing their instruments, but the depth and scope of the lyrics that their singer, James Hetfield, writes. Frankly, moreso than most metal bands, Metallica is really the "Intellectual Metal Head's" band.
This is how you turn someone into a metal head - get them listening to Metallica. And you're well on your way to becoming a full on metal head. You're even getting into the headbanging (and the long dreads go well with that, by the way). Love it!

    • @wheredidkrisko.

@@TooBlunt Essentially it was the band's name "Metallica" that kind of handcuffed them. After many years defining and perfecting thrash metal, the move to the more radio friendly (but still arguably great) Black Album divided the fan base a bit already... So the next move to something radically new in music as a whole left alot scratching their heads wondering where their childhood heroes went.
You should have seen how much hate this album got. It was shameful. Clearly they had a lot of 'Metal Up Your Ass" fans and not enough fans of music in general. I was amazed at the bold brilliance of Load.
Thankfully the album has aged incredibly well and is finally the cherished work it should have been in the first place. Ahead of its time I suppose. 🤷

Youre matching the album cover with your hoodie. Gorgeous reddish-orange flames/ text on the black background. 🔥🔥🤘🫶 I hope you get to go to a Metallica concert, with your daughter. ☮️💜🤘

You mentioned orchestra during this reaction. Metallica did a whole string of songs with an actual orchestra. It is some really good tunes.

This is interesting watching you become enlightened to Metallica's style of play!😆 I'm impressed with how much you're understanding their music and the feeling inside! The version of this song with the symphony is even better.

How are you my brother? I sincerely hope that well. I heard you say that you are a fan of Metallica, that makes me follow you, since I am a fan of this great band, since its beginnings. I am 52 years old and I consider myself a metalhead heart and soul. Yes, this album and the Re-Load were highly criticized, but I loved them, they are great. I never pay attention to criticism. I send you a big hug from Montevideo, Uruguay.

I knew you would love this song! I just didn't anticipate that it would be your favorite. It's my favorite too. GREAT reaction video, my man. Keep doing what you're doing. I wish you nothing but success!

If you haven't checked them out yet, get into these Metallica songs...
    Frayed Ends Of Sanity
    King Nothing
    Poor Twisted Me
    Ain't My Bitch
    Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
    Dyers Eve
And anything you haven't checked out on Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning.
That should be a good start.

Creeping Death performed live in Moscow 1991 or The Thing That Should Not Be performed live in Seattle 1989. BOTH will BLOW YOUR MIND.

Definitely have to do Outlaw Torn! I highly recommend the version from the original S&M release to hear it with a full symphony orchestra added to it. Masterpiece of a song.

Thank you for doing these videos. I have been a fan since "Ride the Lightning", and like many others, kind of dismissed them when the Black album came out. I still always love the early stuff, but didnt invest much since then. I went to see them in concert this year, and it revived my interest a bit, but after seeing this, and hearing it again, I have been inspired to check out their more recent stuff. Also, if you are interested in listening to some more metal, I would suggest Pantera. A good starter song for them might be "Cemetary Gates"

Watching you just lose yourself in the music is great to see. This is definitely top tier Metallica.
Another song where the guitar will take you away is by a band called Mastodon, the track is Gigantium.
    I think you'll like it.

I absolutely love your reactions my dude! I'm a long time Metallica fan and I admit I overlooked this album when I was younger, but this is possibly one of the greatest songs they've ever composed. The album has a load of good ones including Outlaw Torn (highly recommend). I can see you haven't uploaded in a while hope all is well with you and family bro ❤

You MUST watch their live performance of this song at Woodstock '99.
James just lays his emotions out on the stage. It's perfect, and the best live performance I've seen of this particular track. ❤ 👊🤘

I was a sophomore in high school when this came out. To hear Metallica expand their sound let me know that big things were coming. Diehard fan for nearly 30 years because of that relentless ambition to create.
